"Travis! You got sand in my shorts!" Yelled Katie from across the beach.

"Guess the party started without us." Percy said over his shoulder to Nico as he picked up his speed to a jog. Nico soon followed after.

"Hey beauty queen? How do you feel about a little sand in your hair?" Leo said as Nico and Percy approached the group.

"Don't even think about it." Piper snapped back jokingly. Though something about the way she said it makes it seem like they were at that conversation for a while.

Jason started cheering as Percy set down the bag of snacks and opened it.

"Wooo! Snacksss!" Jason said excitedly, like a little kid really.

"Hey I brought something too." Travis reached behind him and pulled out a case of Oreos.

"Heeey, where'd you get that?" Leo asked him accusingly.

"You don't need to know that..." Travis grinned a sly smile as the others laughed a bit.

As Percy was sticking the sodas into the sand, Leo decided to strike up a conversation with Nico.

"Wow, you missed breakfast in didn't you?"

"Yeah. That's why I'm here, I'm hungry."

"Blunt as ever I see."

"Well I didn't get out of bed to look at your face, did I?"

~ The way he said that, Percy thought, its like he did get out of bed to look at someone's face...

Percy kinda envied Leo for being able to talk to Nico like a normal person could and not get sweaty palms as a result.

"Hey Nico. Check this out." Leo said as he grabbed a fist full of sand. He closed his eyes in concentration as small flames danced across his hand. The sand that was once loosely falling out of his hand began to take shape. He then squeezed his hand shut as his flames grew larger. Within a minute, Leo was holding a sharp wedge of what looked like a piece of misty glass.

"Niiiiiice," Travis spoke up.

"Cool!" Katie said. "Do you think you could make some for my garden?"

"Sure, but you have to pay me 12 drachmas." Leo responded.

"You strike a hard deal Valdez, but if its for the beauty of my cabin, I will pay any price." Katie said looking to the sky.

"Drama queen." Travis muttered. Katie giggled. (Tatie for life)

"Speaking of my garden," Katie reached behind her. "I made some lemonade." She brought out a green pitcher full of yellow liquid.

"You guys have lemons in your garden?" Piper asked.

"Only when we want them." Katie smiled.

"Demeter kids, I swear. I'm going to start calling you guys the crop-dusters now." Leo smirked. Jason snorted. That dumb fart joke even got a chuckle out of Nico.

"You know what?!" Katie got up a tackled Leo.

"And he's down!" Piper through up her arms.

"You guys are ridiculous." Percy laughed himself to the ground

"Lemme get in on this!" Travis yelled just as he knocked the lemonade over and all over Percy's shirt.

Percy sat up.
