Long lost brother [S2 Chapter 3]

"Your highness, the majesty has conceived two identical babies this early morning, however that means you have to choose one son to die."

The king sat on his seat in happiness and shock after hearing what he was informed.

"But why must I kill one of my sons? Me and my wife have been waiting for years for our firstborn and now God has blessed us with two.."

"But your majesty, if you have two first-born sons then, who would become the next king once you pass your crown?"

The king felt tears falling immediately after hearing the news and called his guards.

"Yes, your majesty?"The guards stood infront of the king, bowing in formality as the king sighed.

"R-remove the Queen from her position and one of my sons out of the kingdom, make sure the kingdom doesn't know about my other son.."

The guards stood there processing what the king had commanded thinking that he was out of his mind, but the king had a stern face.

"Yes your majesty."

"Eomma, I'm home!"Taeyung entered the door and threw his bag on the couch before jumping down beside it.

"Oh welcome home son.."A faint familiar voice came from the other room.

"You're King Taehyung's brother..."A small flashback from the words of Namjoon came back in his mind as he thought about it for a minute.

"How is that even possible? Why would eomma hide this from me anyways..."He turned his head towards his bag to see the book pecking out.

Realising he hasn't read it word for word, he looked around to see his mother probably in another room resting.

After double- checking, he grabbed the book from his bag and opened it.

An hour later, he was weeping silently after reading what his 'father' had to write down and covered his face, not able to bear the unknown pain.

With mixed emotions of what he had just read, he knew that the book had made him live his whole life a lie.

His mother told him that his father wasn't the best dad and ran away from his mother when she was pregnant with him.

Obviously, he despised his father his whole life and believed that if he would ever meet his father, he would get revenge.

But after reading the book his father had wrote, an anger grew inside him making his hated grow.

*bang*Suddenly, a sound thundered from Taeyung's fist banging on the table in frustration.

"H-how could he? O-only because of having twins, having to throw his whole family away because of the T-hron-"

"Honey, are you okay?"His mother peeked through the door as Taeyung immediately shoved the book under the couch.

"Y-yea, sorry I was just thinking about something..."He looked away while wiping his tears, not wanting to worry his mother.

His mother stared at him for a while before limping out the room with her stick supporting her.

"Here, drink some water, you must be so tired from work."Taeyung felt his mother take a seat beside him, making him turn to her.

"T-hank you eomma,"He normally wouldn't rarely hug anyone, but only for special occasions he would and this time, he hugged her.

"Aigoo, just for a cup of water? I'm so useless that I can never do anything for you except small things because..."He hushed her knowing that she was talking about her disability.

"I will get revenge on him, for you eomma.."

Past time

*knock* *knock* *knock*"Your highness, it's me and Hoseok,"Jimin's voice whispered behind the door as Taehyung let them enter.

"Are you okay Your Highness?"

"S-sir Park, g-go search the whole kingdom for someone that looks like me, named Taeyung."Jimin and Hoseok looked at each other in confusion, wanting an explanation.

"What do mean Sire?"Hoseok asked, thinking that Taehyung was out of his mind.

"H-he is my long lost brother.."

Present time

"Oppa, isn't it weird that Taeyung is Taehyung's twin brother?"Y/N asked Namjoon after he told her everything that happened.

"Yea I know, but anything is possible,"Namjoon shrugged while doing his work as Y/N sighed nodding.

Suddenly the opened wide as Taeyung walked hurriedly inside and patted heavily.

"O-oh Taeyung, we were just discussing about you-"

"Where's the time machine?"He abruptly spoke in a cold tone, surprising Y/N and Namjoon by his attitude.

"U-uhh, there's no such thing-"Y/N scratched her neck nervously as Taeyung glared at her face.

"Stop lying! I KNOW THERES IS SUCH THING!"He suddenly began shouting and pushing things aside, trying to find the files that Namjoon collected.

"Hey Taeyung! Calm down!"Namjoon stood up from his seat, trying to stop him from messing up the room but he ignored him.

"Taehyung! Stop!"Y/N realised what she said (called him Taehyung instead of Taeyung) as he stopped what he did and stayed still.

"Taeyung, please calm down first and talk to us,"Namjoon took this opportunity to make him sit down and calm down.

"...He and his father kicked me and my mother out of their life because of the throne..."He gritted his teeth as he told them the whole story he read in the book.

Y/N looked at Namjoon with their eyes wide open in pity.

"I need to see my Father and talk to him..."He turned towards Namjoon who looked at him with pity in his eyes.

"Alright... follow me."

"Here..."Namjoon opened the hidden door into the room where all time is controlled.

Taeyung's eyes widened as he couldn't believe his eyes to see the time machine whilst Y/N followed behind.

"Alright, what time period do you want to go to?"Namjoon went to the machine to adjust it while he thought about it.

"When the king was alive.."Y/N told Namjoon as he looked at her confused but nodded.

Namjoon told Taeyung all the rules and things he needed to do to go back into the present.

"Alright, here we go... see you guys later."He greeted farewell before entering the whirlhole and disappearing.

"Hope he comes back safely.."Y/N bit her lip worriedly before going to head out.

"Wait Y/N, how did the King Kim die?"Namjoon stopped her from walking as she turned around trying to remember what Taehyung told her.

"Someone poisoned him in his sleep..."Y/N looked at Namjoon with wide eyes as he copied her expression.

"...It can't be.."

Past time (Taehyung's reign)

"Your highness, we searched throughout the Kingdom but we couldn't find a person named Taeyung, but..."

"We know who killed your Father..."
