Chapter 34
18:49, 31 July 2015The girl stood silently in the dark kitchen, holding onto a mug tightly that contained water. It tasted so plain like her life now. The light flickers on and she looks up to see Jungkook, rubbing his eyes tiredly. He jumped up slightly seeing the younger. "It's 4 in the morning why aren't you asleep?" he asks, yawning.
"Why aren't you," she retorts before taking another drink.
"I needa piss," he replies simply before trudging to the bathroom, leaving the door opened since he knew she wasn't even gonna look in.
He finishes his business and walks out to see the girl didn't even move an inch from her previous position. He frowns. "Su Bin," he calls out and she turns to look at him. "Gwenchana?"
"Huh?" she says blankly.
"Yah. Are you okay?" the maknae voices his concern again. "You seem out of it."
She just sighs, putting down the mug. "What's wrong?" the dancer asks as he walks towards her, standing next to her.
"Ah. It's nothing..." she mumbles.
"There's something going on and I wouldn't leave till you tell me," he replies. "And you know you wouldn't be able to leave too."
She sighs as he smirks victoriously. "It's Daejun..." she says and his facial expressions immediately changed to deadly.
"Do I need to rearrange his face?" he asks dangerously.
"Aniya Oppa," she replies, touching his wrist lightly before retracting her hand. "We fought. And it wasn't about something small."
"What did you fight about?" he asks curiously. "Not that you need to tell me."
She sighs softly. "Differences," she says, barely a whisper. "He doesn't want me to make customized coffee for the celebrities. He sees no need in it and its a bother. And we fought."
Jungkook mentally punches Daejun in the face seeing the younger's face. He sighs and put a hand on her shoulder. "Like what Yoongi hyung said. Not everyone thinks the same Su Bin... You guys have to work through this together."
"How do I do that Oppa?" she asks as sadness clouds her eyes.
"Oppa jinjja mollayo," he whispers disappointedly. He was still young. He had no idea how a relationship worked out properly. "Mianhae."
"Doesn't matter," she mutters before leaving the golden maknae alone in the kitchen, immersed in his own thoughts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Su Bin lies in the middle of the dance studio, catching her breath. There was a layer of sweat forming from her vigorous workout. Her eyes clenches together as she thinks back to the fight. She remembers the last thing she said to Daejun. Why do you care so much?
Her eyes start to water up as her hands curls into fists, slowly turning white and nails digging into the soft flesh. She regrets saying those words. She clenches her eyes even tighter, trying to get even a few drops of tears out of her system but nothing was happening.
She remembers the tears that rolled down her face when he walked off, leaving her in the cold night. She just wonders why can't she cry like that night again. It wasn't any different. The pain she felt inside of her was like a blow to the stomach. She curls herself into a ball as the skin drags along the shiny surface, emitting red patches and awful sounds.
She bites her lower lips as she squeezes a single tear out of her system but she wanted more. Her body started to shake which was unusual. She wasn't the kind to cry like those lead female stars in drama. She was those kinds who lies in bed with tears staining all over the pillow. A silent crier was what people labelled them.
No matter what and how she tries, tears refused to leave the eyes. She feels the beat of I Need U against the floor from the other dance room. If the music was that loud, no one would hear her for at least a few minutes.
A sob leaves her mouth and tears finally fall as the pain hits her again and again. She curls herself even tighter and thinks of all the negativity, letting them wreck her body as she let it all out.
She doesn't know how long she has been crying but she feels a motherly embrace and leans into it. She looks up once her tears have stopped to see Ji Hyo, looking down at her worriedly. "Gwenchana?" she whispers softly as the younger hugs her tightly. "Everything's going to be okay..."
She embraces the soft whispers and warmth of a mother till she fully calmed down. "Unnie," she says, pulling back. "Kamsahamida... Why are you here though?"
The actress laughs. "I needed to apologize to the boys about my friend from the twin's ex-school. She shouldn't have acted that way. She reassured me she wouldn't and I didn't expect her to do so but greed changes people I guess," she replies sighing but then smiles. "And I brought a friend who is currently talking to the boys in the other dance studio."
She stands up and offers a hand. "Want to see who it is?" she asks smiling, emitting the younger's curiosity.
She meekly takes Ji Hyo's hand and stood up before being led to the other studio. "Kim Enthusiastic!" she calls out and the maknae of ZE:A turns around, smiling.
"Oh Noona you're back~" he says happily before seeing Su Bin. "Annyeong~ I'm Kim Dongjun from ZE:A!"
"Oh annyeong Dongjun-ssi," the younger says, bowing.
"Just call me Oppa," he says smiling and she nods.
Seokjin hugs her tightly out of nowhere. "I heard your sobs... Everyone did," he bends slightly and whispers into her ear.
She froze up immediately before looking around the room. Everyone else was talking among themselves but she reddens in embarrassment when her eyes land on Dongjun. A total stranger hearing her cry. The worst nightmare.
"He didn't say anything about it, don't worry about him," the older replies. "Jungkook talked to me..."
She gulps, knowing where this was going. "What's happening between Daejun and you? He didn't sleep well and when he was telling me, he was a utter mess," he says. "Tell me please."
Hearing his pleading voice, she sighed before saying, "Differences." She hated that word so much. It brought so many people together but at the same time distances people away from each other. It's like a rose, it looks beautiful but then its thorns pricks people who come near.
The taller male could see her troubled face and tensed body. He puts a hand on her shoulder and she literally melts into it. "It's hard. I know. I had a fair share of relationships that didn't work out and most of them were because of differences. But Daejun isn't that kind of guy to just fight and not do anything about it."
"We haven't exactly talked since the fight. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't want to talk to me," she replies with a downcast look. "After all I did make a stupid mistake."
The older quirks an eyebrow, curious to know what she said. "I told him, why does he care so much?" she says before putting her face into her hands and starts to self-blame herself. "I shouldn't have said that. I regret it so much."
He brings her close to him. "Don't regret what you did. You said that out of emotional whirlpool. It's been on your mind but you just can't seem to settle it and understand why. That's why you said that. It was the first thing you could think of when emotions got the better of you."
She wraps her arms around the broad-shoulder male as she buried her face in his shirt, desperately sinking into the warmth she was feeling from him but it just wasn't enough. He pats her head softly. "I screwed up. I'm a idiot. Why did I say that?" she mumbles into his shirt.
"Don't worry... Everything will be okay. I promise," the older promises as she pulls backs slolwly, looking up to him like a small child.
"Really?" she asks and he nods, smiling fatherly as he smooths out her hair.
"Su Bin ah~" Dongjun calls out. "You want to go buy some food with me?"
She looks up for permission and he nods, knowing that a change in environment will be good for her. She smiles slightly, turning around and walks towards the maknae of ZE:A before they left the studio.
"How is she?" the leader asks, looking at their backs.
"Getting there..." he replies. "She hates herself for letting emotions take control of her."
"She's young. But she's so mature... I wouldn't be surprised that she blames herself," the taller male says, running a hand through his hair absentmindedly. "I hope Dongjun would help a little now. Drift her mind away from the situation."
"Let's just hope for the best..." the oldest replies before joining the younger members and Ji Hyo.
