Chapter 11

Calum's POV

I walked outside of the room and closed the door softly. I stood in the hall waiting for her to get up and come after me but she didn't. I sighed and leaned my back against the wall sliding down and sitting on the ground to think. Should I go back to my house or should I stay here tonight with her? I checked the time. it was about 9:00 I sighed as I headed to the bathroom to wash up.

I opened the door and to my luck it creaked loudly. I stopped to listen if Misty was waking up but she was sleeping heavily. I slowly made my way to the opposite side of the bed wearing only boxers.

As I pulled the blanket up she stirred so I froze. She started snoring softly so I slid in without a sound. I laid on my back thinking for a while. thinking about she had basically begged me to ask her. I just wanted to ask her meaningfully but I didn't know how.

I let my thoughts drift off as my eyes grew heavier into sleep.

I woke up the next morning to the movement of Misty's body next to mine. We were tangled with each other. I wondered how we got there in the first place.

I tried sleeping but my mind started to think of ideas to ask her. My mind ran until one idea had popped up into my mind. I smiled at myself and untangled my legs from her to get up.

Misty groaned and flipped over back to her side. Wow she was really passed out.

I grabbed my phone to call the boys for the favor I was asking them to do.

I knew this was going to work. I knew it in my guts it was.

*ring*

*ring*

*ring*

I waited for Luke to pick up his damn phone.

"Hello? Calum?"

"Yeah it's me. I need you to do a huge favor for me."

I slowly made my way out of her bed making sure she was still asleep. I pulled on my jeans and my shirt from the ground and headed out the door to find Luke.

As I jogged down the stairs fixing my hair I saw Jess emerge from the kitchen.

"Hi Calum! Where you going?"

"Hey I'm about to go hang with Luke. Mind giving the message to M?"

She wiped her flour hands onto her apron and nodded.

"See you around."

I waved and hurried to my car.

Misty's POV

I felt the bed beside me move and felt him leaving me. I wanted him to stay but I was tired so I let it be.

It was about another 2 hours later when I woke up to the chime of my phone. I lazily grabbed my phone and unlocked it seeing it was a message from Calum.

-Meet me at the park by the diner @12?

-Yeah sure why?

I replied getting suspicious.

-Surprise love you (-; Xx

I smiled to myself and locked my phone rolling out of bed. It was 11:30 when I got finished dressing and brushing up.

I walked to the park which was about a 15 minute walk from Jess's. I bless Jess for her house being close to almost everything.

I walked towards the park to see a familiar figure sitting on a park bench. It was surprisingly Luke.

"Luke?"

I questioned to make sure it was him. He looked up from his phone and stood up.

"Hey Misty. Expecting Calum?"

I gave him a confused look.

"How did yo-"

"I know everything. Follow me."

He smiled and winked at me taking my arm and walking towards his car. I was terribly confused.

"Should i call Calum or?"

Luke shook his head.

"He knows we're coming."

"Where are we going exactly?"

"To a place."

I rolled my eyes and checked the time.

12:15

We arrived at the diner that Calum and I had our first 'date' at. Luke opened the door for me as I stepped down. Luke lead me towards the same booth we sat in on that day but instead of sitting with Calum, there was Michael.

"Misty! you're here!"

"Yeah I am."

I laughed and looked at Luke confused.

"Why am I here again?"

"To have breakfast silly!"

Michael chimed in passing me a menu.

"Well I'll see you later M! Have a good brunch!"

"Wait where are you going Luke?"

"Luke's going somewhere of course!"

Michael said once again sarcastically.

After my brunch with Michael, he handed me flowers that were sitting next to him.

"Oh Calum told me to give these to you. And to also pay."

He said quickly grabbing the check as the waitress sets it down. After getting his card back he took my arm an led me out towards his car.

"Were going somewhere now."

"Yeah I assumed."

I giggled and rolled my eyes as we headed towards our next destination. As much as I was confused I enjoyed the mystery that was happening throughout my little adventure.

"We're here!"

Michael turned the engine off and opened the door for me.

"Oh Calum also told me to open doors for you so you'll have to walk behind me for now."

I smiled and walked towards the entrance to the hotel door. We took the elevator to the 5th floor. Michael took out a room key and slid it into the room door opening it for me.

Inside there was a long plastic bag covering a piece of clothing I guessed laying perfectly on one of the beds. Sitting on the other bed was Ashton.

"Misty! You've finally arrived!"

Ashton got up and grabbed the hanger that was attached to the plastic bag.

"Calum told me to tell you to wear this."

He handed it to me and gave me a cheeky smile before exiting the hotel room.

I quickly went into the bathroom and unzipped the plastic bag revealing a beautiful strapless dress that was tiffany blue. It had a rhinestone belt sewn onto the middle of the dress.

I slid into the dress hoping it would fit and to my surprise it did. I stood in front of the full length mirror admiring the dress on my awkward shaped body. I stood there for a while until a knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.

"Do you need help in there?"

It was Ashton.

"No I'm done!"

I unlocked the door to reveal Ashton smiling.

"You look absolutely beautiful, M!"

I looked down at the dress and smiled.

"Thank you."

We then headed down towards Ashton's car to drive off to yet another place.

3:45

It took us about an hour to get to this fancy restaurant.

"We're here and I promise you this is your final destination."

Ashton got out of the car and lead me to the entrance of the restaurant stopping at the door.

"Wait here okay?"

I nodded and sat down onto the bench outside of the restaurant. About 2 minutes later Luke came wearing a tux brining me inside of the restaurant.

As I walked in I noticed that no one was inside of the restaurant. No one except for him.

Calum was standing by a table set for two wearing a tux as well. His eyes widened as he saw me. I still got butterflies just seeing him.

Luke continued to walk me towards Calum.

"Hey Misty."

Calum greeted me as he pulled out the chair for me then finally seating himself.

"Glad you could come tonight."

I smiled and responded.

"Well I mean I didn't really have a choice did I? Considering the fact that I've been driving all over town."

He smirked and played with the napkin beside him.

"Well you still came. I was scared that you wouldn't come."

He looked at me almost showing the sadness in his eyes.

The waiter came and took our orders since we were the only guests in here at this time.

Calum's POV

After dinner it was time for me to get ready. I pushed the chair out and stood up.

"Where are you going?"

She asked me as I started walking away.

"To the bathroom."

I winked and walked towards the bathroom but making a turn into the kitchen. Inside was the boys already changed into more comfortable clothes.

"Do you think Misty will like this?"

Inside, my head told me that she would think this would be pathetic and leave me.

"Of course she will mate!"

Ashton chimed in encouraging me to continue on with my plan.

"Yeah she'll absolutely love it!"

Michael also said slinging his guitar onto his shoulder. I slid out of my tux and wore a tank top and jeans instead. After finishing Luke handed me my bass.

"She'll be very happy I promise."

Luke told me as we walked out of the kitchen onto the small stand up stage near Misty's table.

She looked up from her phone and seemed shocked. My heart was beating very fast. I wondered what she was thinking. Was this too cliche for her?

She smiled at me and waved turning her chair towards the stage. I tapped the mic and spoke.

"Hey Misty, as you can see I lead you here so you can see the reason why I love you."

I felt my cheeks heat up as I heard one of the boys whistle at me. I turned around and waited for ashton to cue us.

*Listen to over and over by 5sos.*

I looked up to see her reaction. She was in tears so I smiled and turned to look back at the boys. They all gave me a thumbs up.

I looked up and smiled at her singing my heart out and locking my eyes on her teary ones.

The song stopped and I heard Misty clapping and saw her smiling at me.

I jumped down the stage and walked up to her. She got up from her seat and hugged me tight.

"So how did yo-"

I was in mid sentence until I felt her lips on mine. I wrapped my arms around her back to pull her closer.

"Yuck Calum get a room!"

I heard Ashton yell as we pulled away.

She giggled and hid her face on my chest. I rolled my eyes at Ashton and widened my eyes as Michael and Luke made an 'O' with one of their hands and stuck a finger in it repeatedly.

"Michael Luke!"

I yelled for them too stop getting embarrassed myself. Misty laughed and shook her head looking up at me. I turned back to the boys shooing them away for me to finally ask the question.

Misty's expression became confused and everyone left the room. I grabbed a small Tiffany's box from my pocket and kneeled onto the floor holding it on one hand. She covered her mouth smiling and trying not to cry again.

My hands shook as I opened the box to show a necklace with an infinity sign on it showing that our love will be infinite always.

"Misty."

My hands we shaking as I spoke.

"I know you wanted me to ask but I couldn't find a creative way of asking but I finally found one."

I cleared my throat and looked at the box.

"So would you have the honors of being my beautiful girlfriend?"

She still had her mouth covered and nodded repeatedly as I got up and hugged her tightly. she turned around removing her hair as I put the necklace on her. she picked up the infinity sign with her fingers and stared at it amazed. I was still shaking. She noticed.

"Calum, this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me."

Her eyes got teary again.

"Thank you so much."

She leaned in and hugged me tightly. she tiptoed up and gave me a peck on the lips. I entwined our fingers and lead her out to my car with the boys waiting outside.

I lifted our entwined hands up and smiled at the ground hearing cheers from the boys. Misty giggled and turned to face me.

She was so beautiful as the light of the moon reflected off her face and dress. Everything was perfect in this moment.

"Smile!"

I heard Michael say as he snapped a picture of us.

After I took her back to Jess's house and brought her up to her room.

"I'll see you tomorrow okay?"

"You're not going to stay?"

She seemed disappointed. I shook my head and leaned down to kiss her forehead.

"The boys and I have recording at 6. But we can grab brunch?"

She smiled then nodded as we said our goodbyes.

Hey guys how was this chapter? it took me about 2 1/2 days to write. anyways spring break is almost over so I might not update for 2 days or 3 but I'll try.
