Chapter 66
00:46, 26 April 2014"This is your choreographer, Nick Demoura." Matt introduced. "You're Justin Bieber's choreographer too!" I almost shouted with excitment. Nick laughed at me. "Yes, I work with him and many others as well." "Well I'm excited to work with you." I smiled and shook his hand.
"So from the sound of your album you want fast, slick and maybe even some sensual movements. Does that sound good for you?" "Yes." I nodded. "Obviously not too sensual because you're only 15 but you'll get away with it. I have some ideas and Matt's told me that you do too?" "That's right, I do."
"For certain songs? Or what?" He asked, I shrugged. "I don't know, it just comes to me when I listen to the music. It makes me feel something and I move to reflect those feelings." "That's good, without watching you dance I can tell you're talented." He smiled which made me feel good about myself.
"I wanna show you the ideas I have and then you can say what you like and what you wanna change and we'll just add your touch to it." "Okay, let's go." I stood back. Nick danced in front of the mirror for a while. Everyone watched him, I was in awe.
After we'd chosen which songs to perform we worked together on dances. It took most of the day but we had come up with all of the dances when we finally left the dance studio. "I wanna go home and get into a nice, hot bubble bath." I said to Cody.
"I wanna take you out tonight as last night didn't go too well." "I can't tonight." I told him. "What? Why?" "I'm sleeping at Madison's house." I smiled. "When were you going to tell me?" "Right now." I grinned at him cutely which made him laugh.
"So do you want me to take you there?" He pulled up on the drive. "Nah, I'll get Trey to." I smiled. "Are you sure?" "Yup. You wanna come in or what?" "Uh-" He looked around. "Dad's car's here so sure." He opened the door.
"Don't feel like I'm chosing her over you, I'm just hanging out with her. I haven't done that in a while." I kissed his lips before walking into the house. "I don't feel like that. I know you have other friends and I know you want to spend time with them too but I just wish you would of told me before five minutes ago." He followed me outside where everyone esle was.
"Hey!" I went and sat on Cara's lap. "You're all sweaty! Ew!" She pushed me off her and I fell on the floor. "I've been working. I got dance auditions to watch in two days too!" I cheered. "You should of seen her. She's in her element when she's in that dance studio." Cody sat down.
"You had fun then?" Mom asked, I nodded with a grin. "So much fun. But I'm going to have a bath now. Trey, can you still take me to Maddie's in a bit?" I looked at him. "Sure." And with that I went to my bedroom.
After about an hour and a half I was ready to go to Madison's, she called to say she had gotten home and I could come over whenever so I went back downstairs. "Codes, can I speak to you for a second?" I asked and walked back into the living room.
"What's up?" "Can you pick me up tomorrow?" "Sure, just call me and tell me whenever." He pulled me close and leaned down to kiss me. I put my finger on Cody's lips to stop him. "What now?" "Can I see your phone?" I took a step back and held my hand out for it.
"We- What- Why?" He stuttered. "I wanna see if you've still got those pictures." I waited for him to hand it to me. "It's in the car." He lied. "Cody, I can see it in your pocket." I said unimpressed with my hands on my hips.
"I haven't had time to delete them. Just please, trust me?" He searched my eyes. "Hand it over." I put my hand out again. Cody sighed, unlocked it and handed it to me. I watched him as he turned around and went back outside. "You're not going to stay here?" I asked.
"I don't want you to shout at me so no." "Do I need to shout at you?" "You decide." He said and left me alone. I sat down and went through his phone. He's sent him more pictures, what the-?! He sent them after everything that happened last night? I thought he had more respect for me than that.
I've seen all I need to see. I locked his phone and walked outside, I threw it into his lap. "Cara, can you take me instead?" I didn't even look at Cody. "What about me?" Trey asked. "No." "I'll be back soon." Cara kissed Trey's lips and followed me through the house.
We both got into the car in silence and then as soon as we got off the drive the questions came firing at me. "Trey or Cody? And what did they do?" "Cody. He sent Jake pictures of me. I found out yesterday and he said he would delete them but I just found out he's sent him more!"
"What kinds of photos?" She asked, I gave her a look. "You sent Cody nudes?!" "No!" I defended myself. "You know that swimwear shoot I did? Cody has some of the pictures which weren't published, like the really revealing ones. He sent those to Jake." I explained.
"That's bad!" "He sent them while he was watching me dance today. We're in a relationship. It's wrong! Last night he went through this whole 'I love you' thing and he was like 'let me make love to you' and stuff and then he just goes and does that and ugggh!" I threw my head back.
"Let him worry about this mistake. You have to go have fun with Madison, don't talk to him for the rest of tonight. Don't answer his calls or his messages. Just let him panic and then tomorrow you have to tell him what he did wrong. He already knows for sure but you have to tell him what he did wrong and not shout at him. There's a big difference." She told me.
"I'll try." I sighed. "He loves you a lot." She reassured me. "I wish he would show it more." "He loves you too much and he doesn't know how to deal with it. He's just a kid, you're both just kids and you're deeply in love. You have feelings which are meant for people much older and you find it hard to ignore them. You just have to find a way to deal with them without hurting each other."
I didn't say anything after she said that, I was too busy thinking about what she said. "We're here." Cara interrupted my thoughts. "Thanks again." I smiled and got out. "Bye!" I waved and walked up to the front door.
"Hey!" Ryder, Madison's younger brother, answered the door. "What's up, dude?" I greeted as I walked into the house. "Madison's in her room." He said. "Okay, see you in a bit." I ruffled his hair and walked off.
"Maddie!" I hugged her. "Hey! You're back with Cody?!" She turned to look at me. "I- Uh- Yeah." I grinned. "Lauren! You said you were fine without him and you didn't miss him. What happened to that?" She sighed and sat on the bed.
"Why do you sound so upset about that?" "You were happy without him." "So what? I'm happy with him now, even happier." "You know that when you guys do break up for real, it's not going to be as easy. It's never going to be as easy as it was this time."
"It didn't feel real this time, that's why it was so easy." I explained. "I think you've made a mistake." She confessed, I sighed and looked down. "He sent Jake pictures of me from the swimwear shoot." "And this is what I mean!" She stood up. And here goes another lecture.
"He gets you back and he goes and does this! Doesn't it show anything? Can't you see through this annoying 'perfect boyfriend' act he's putting on?!" She paced up and down. "He's not perfect but neither am I. We're growing and learning together."
"Lauren, he sent pictures of you to his best friend. He cheated on yo-" "I cheated on him too, Madison." "Fine. But he doesn't treat you with the respect he should." "That's not your decision to make. You're not there all the time, no one is. No one knows us like we do."
"From where I'm standing I don't think he loves you the way he puts across. It's like I'm the only one who sees past it and it really annoys me." "Hang on a second.. How did you know we were back together?" I layed back on the bed.
"It was on E news." She said simply. "Can we talk about something else now? I don't want to get mad at you over him. Let's just agree that you don't like Cody." I shrugged. "Fine." She sighed and sat down next to me on the bed.
The next morning I called Cody to come and pick me up. "Hey, baby." He kissed my cheek. "Hey." I forced a smile. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Nothing." "Wanna go get a coffee and explain?" He offered, I nodded and looked out the window.
Once we'd gotten our coffee we sat down at a table. "Come on then, what's on your mind?" Cody asked. "Madison." I looked into my mug. "What's she done?" "She told me that you're faking this 'perfect boyfriend' front. You don't love me as much as you act like you do, she said you don't treat me with respect and she said other things too. It just made me think about things." I swirled my coffee around as I spoke. Cody lifted my chin up with his finger so I'd have to look into his eyes.
"Let her say what she wants to, no one can change her mind. Even I can't change her mind. You just can't let it get to you. Believe me when I say I love you." "How come you always know what to say?" I asked as my eyes started to fill with tears.
"Drink up, baby." He let go of my chin and took a sip of his coffee. "Will you be coming to the dance auditions tomorrow?" I asked. "I've got a studio sesh but I'll try to be there before it ends." "Don't worry about it. Have fun in the studio." I smiled.
"You don't mean that." Cody guessed. "You want me to be there but you don't want me to feel like I have to." He looked me in the eyes, I looked away. "You don't think I know you as well as I do, do you?" He chuckled lightly.
"Let's go home." I changed the subject which made Cody laugh. "Come on then." He got up and held his hand out for me to take it. "Who's home?" "I don't mind." I shrugged. "Oh I heard Trey and Cara found a house." Cody said as he started the car.
"What?!" I looked at him. "I'm sorry." He appologized. "He's actually going to move out." I sighed and sunk in my char. "Lauren, this doesn't mean loves you any less." "He's not going to be around anymore though." "Just don't worry about it." "Do you know when they're moving in?" I asked.
"No." He lied to me, I scoffed. "Two weeks." He said. "But that's when I go on tour." "That's a good thing." "No it's not." I folded my arms. "Talk to him about it, not me." Cody said. "What are we doing today?" I asked.
"We're going to relax and do nothing because you need your energy for the next month and a bit." "A month?!" "You're going on tour for three weeks.. Two weeks of rehearsals and then three weeks of touring is five weeks." Cody said as if I was stupid which made me giggle.
"Oh yeah." I laughed at my stupidity. "So I'm taking you to my house and we're going to get into bed and watch movies and cuddle for the rest of the day." He smiled at me. "I can't wait." I grinned. "But we're not watching cheesy, romance movies." He dismissed. "Well then we're not watching scary movies either." I poked my tongue out, Cody looked over at me and laughed.
