Chapter 22
00:50, 4 February 2014So we've almost finished the tour now, we're currently in Spain. It's the last show tonight and then we go home. I'm excited to go home and see everyone! Anyway, right now I'm in my dressing room with Tracy and Janice.
"All done girly!" Janice dapped my nose with a makeup brush. I scrunched up my face and smiled. "Thank you guys." I got up off the stool and got changed. "Two minutes until show time!" Justin said as he walked in. I turned around and grinned.
"Let's go!" I shouted and ran out the door. "Last show, it's gotta be a good one." Justin said, I nodded. "It's going to be so good!" We arrived at the edge of the stage, I waited for my cue. As I danced on the stage it felt so good to have the lights shine down and Cody's voice filling my ears.
"Give it up for all my dancers, everyone!" Cody shouted at the end of the last song. The crowd went crazy. "And give it up for the crew!" They went crazy again. "And for all of you guys!" I smiled as I watched Cody smile at his fans.
Cody turned and looked at me. I smiled cutely, he did the same. "I love you guys more than anything!" He said as he looked back at the fans. "And you." He looked at me, I grinned. "Lauren Miller everyone!" They all screamed, Cody pulled me into him. I hid my head in his chest.
"Goodnight!" Cody smiled and we walked off stage hand in hand. "We're going home!" I shouted and threw my hands in the air. "I'm going to see my daddy!" I added, Cody laughed at me. "Alright but first we gotta pack." He said.
"Fine." I huffed and went to my dressing room. I changed back into my light blue, simple dress and tied my hair up. I grabbed my things and walked to find someone. "Lauren?" I heard Matt, I turned. "Hey." I smiled and looked at my phone.
"Cody's in the car, let's go." He started walking to the exit, I followed after him. "These last three months have been crazy." I confessed as I looked around the hall we were walking down. "I know, what was your highlight?" Matt asked.
"When Justin came to the show." "Bieber?" "Yes! He's amazing, I can't believe he said I was a good dancer." I grinned to myself as I played the memories through my head. "You should of seen your face when he came on stage with your birthday cake, it was priceless!"
"My heart stopped, I had no clue he was going to come out. I knew Cody would do something but Justin? He amazed me." "Good." Matt smiled, I did so too. We walked through the arena doors and the fans started screaming.
"It's freezing!" I moaned and wrapped my arms around myself. "Don't worry, the car is right there." Matt pointed. I walked to the door and got in. "Well hello Miss Miller." Cody said as he pulled me closer to him. "Simpson." I acknoledged as he placed his lips on my cheek.
When we got back to the hotel I took a shower first and then packed all our things while Cody took a shower. "Cody, what are you wearing on the plane?" I asked as I walked into the bathroom. I couldn't see him because of the shower curtain.
"Sweats and a plain tee?" He replied. "What shoes?" "Vans." "No!" I laughed and sat on the counter. "Why not?" "You'll look stupid." I informed. "I want my vans." "No." "If you pack my vans I will unpack them and make us miss our flight." Cody faught back.
"Fine, but don't expect me to walk next to you while you look like an idiot." "I do it with you all the time." I could heard his smirk in his voice. "If you weren't naked right now, I would come and attack you." "I don't mind if you do it now." I rolled my eyes and walked out of the bathroom.
I finished the packing and sat on the bed with my phone. Cody appeared infront of me with only a towel wrapped around his waist. "Get changed, we leave in 20 minutes." "That gives us enough time." He winked.
I rolled my eyes and pushed him backwards with my foot. "Come on, just kiss me." He grabbed my leg and pulled me closer. "Nooo." I giggled and rolled around. Cody laughed at me, he didn't let go of my foot.
"Cody, let go." I kicked my legs. "Kiss me." "Let go." "Kiss me." "Let go!" I raised my voice, Cody laughed and started tickling me. He climbed onto the bed and over me while still tickling me. "Kiss me!" He stopped tickling and closed his eyes ready for me to kiss him.
I took my chance and quickly kissed his cheek, he opened his eyes and gave me an unimpressed look. I giggled. "What? You didn't say where to kiss you." I played innocent. "You know what I meant." "I'm sure I didn't."
"I meant like this." He softly brushed his nose against mine and then concealed our lips. He moved his lips slowly, I followed his lead. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled his head down, bringing his whole body closer to mine.
Our tongues danced around each other, I was totally lost in the moment. I felt Cody pull away, I opened my eyes. Matt, Justin and Flo were stood in the doorway. Cody got up and walked into the bathroom with his clothes. I sat up slowly.
"H..Hi guys." I smiled awkwardly. "We were just coming to see if you were ready, if we knew you were doing this we wouldn't of." "It wasn't anything." I shrugged and got off the bed. I felt eyes on me as I remade the bed.
"You can stop looking at me now." I said without turning around. "Want us to take your cases down to the bus?" Matt asked, I nodded and smiled. "Come down as soon as Cody is ready." They said and left. I sat on the edge of the bed.
"Thanks for that." I said to Cody as he walked out of the bathroom, he smirked at me. "You loved it, you always love it." He winked, I rolled my eyes. "Let's go!" I got up and started walked to the door, Cody jogged to my side.
We left the hotel, Cody gave as many hugs as he could to fans before getting on the bus and driving off. "I'm hungry." I said to myself as I looked through the cupboards. "You never stop eating!" Flo laughed.
"I'm a 16 year old girl, I'm growing." I defended and shoved a handful of dry cereal in my mouth. "You're not even going to get a bowl? Or milk?" Cody asked, I shook my head and walked to the back of the bus with the box of cereal.
I sat down on the couch and turned on the tv. "Give me some?" Cody asked as he sat down with me. I leaned on him and offered him the box. Cody took some as he wrapped his arm around me.
"What time will it be when we land in Cali?" I asked. "One in the morning." "Who's coming to get us?" "Trey, I think." Cody informed, I nodded. "I can't believe it's over, these last few months have been amazing." I smiled.
"They sure have." Cody said, he ran his finger over the writing on my necklace. I looked at him and smiled. "You know I love you right?" He asked. I nodded and smiled. "Yes, and I love you too." Cody's lips curved into a smile.
We got out at the airport and before I knew it we were in the air, flying miles and miles above the ground. I sighed and sat back in my chair. Cody looked at me, I looked away. "What?" He asked, I shrugged.
"What are you worried about?" He questioned, I didn't answer. Cody got up and came to sit on my chair with me. He lifted me up and sat me on his lap. I sat with my back on the arm of the chair and my legs going across his lap. I leaned against him and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Come on then, everyone's asleep. What's on your mind, beautiful?" He tucked my hair behind my ear, I sighed. I'm going to have to tell him. "I'm worried about Trey." I confessed. "What about him?" "What's he going to do when he finds out about us?" "He'll probaby kill me." Cody stated.
"Whatever." I tried to get up but he held me tighter. "Where do you think you're going?" "I'm being serious here Cody, he will hate you and I mean that. I'm not messing around, I'm scared he's going to hurt you."
"He won't hurt me." "What makes you so sure?" I tested, Cody looked out the window. "I'll tell him." "What?!" I raised my voice. "Shh!" "Are you crazy? He's goin-" "If I tell him, he won't be as annoyed than if he were to find out from someone else in a few months or so. He'll respect it so much more if I tell him the truth now and he'll let me explain. Just trust me."
"Would you be mad at Jake if he turned around and told you he was having sex with Alli?" I asked. "Of course I'd be mad but I'd be so much more mad if I were to find out some other way." "Trey's one thousand times more protective than you are." I said.
"He'll understand, baby. I promise." He kissed my head. "When will you tell him?" "Tomorrow." "Okay but do it where there's people, witnesses." Cody laughed at me. "He's not going to actually kill me." "You never know." I said as I closed my eyes.
"Go to sleep." He laughed again. Cody picked up some of my hair and played with it. I watched his hand as he tangled my hair around his fingers and twirled it around. It made me so sleepy, I completely relaxed into him.
"No, I'll carry her." I heard a voice. "You have to wake her up, to do her passport." "I'll carry her until then." I flickered my eyes but kept them closed as I was picked up. I rested my head on the person's shoulder.
"I know you're not asleep." I heard them whisper, it was Cody. I smiled and then hid my face in his neck. I gently kissed him, my hair was covering my face so no one could tell. The second my lips touched his skin he tensed up.
Cody's grip on my legs and side got tighter, I smirked and carried on. I left a hickey on his neck, the whole time Cody was tensing. I knew he was doing everything he could to not make a sound or give any signal to what I was doing to him. That's what made it more fun.
Cody dropped my legs suddenly. I shot him a look, he shot one back. "Don't mess with me." He warned, I smirked. "I was asleep." I innocently shrugged. We both began walking again. "If you wanna play games, it's on! Just remember who's picking us up though." Cody said quietly.
I looked at him, he ignored me and carried on looking forwards. "You wouldn't touch me infront of him." "But he doesn't have to know I'm touching you." He said with a smirk across his face. "I'm sure he'll love to see these though." I pointed to the three hickeys I have on my neck.
"Well maybe I love you." He smiled innocently. I laughed and ran to catch up with Matt, Justin and Flo. Cody followed after me. We went all the normal airporty things and then finally we were done, back home in California.
I took a deep breath in as the airport doors closed behind me. "Ah, I missed you Cali." I sighed happily. "You can take the girl out of California but you can't take the California out of the girl." I heard Trey's voice.
My head whiped in his direction. "TREY!" I shouted and ran to him. I jumped into his arms and held him tightly. "I missed you so much big brother!" "I missed you so much more baby sister!" He set me on the ground, Cody came over and they did a bro hug thingy.
"What's up man, you been looking after the baby?" Trey asked. "I did my best." He looked at me. "He did a bloody good job." I winked at Cody from behind Trey's back. Cody sent me a warning look. This was going to a fun ride home.
After we said goodbye to everyone we went to the car and filled the trunk. "You're coming back to our tonight Codes." Trey said as he opened his door. "Why don't you go in the front Cody." I smiled and got into the back of the car.
"What's with you guys? It's like you're plotting against each other." Trey sensed. "Nope, I was just being kind." I smiled sweetly and buckled in. "Let's go home." I plugged my earphones into my phone and played my music loudly to block out everything. I sat back in my seat and watched out the window.
As soon as the engine stopped I jumped out the car and ran inside. "Daddy!" I screamed as if I was a five year old girl. I hugged him tightly, he hugged me back. "You're never leaving this country without me ever again!" Dad confessed. I smiled into his chest.
"Is that my baby girl?" I heard my mom's voice, I followed it and hugged her. "I missed you mom!" I confessed. "It's alright Lauren, we'll get the bags." Cody said sarcastically as he placed two suitcases in the doorway.
"I'll go help." Dad said and walked outside. I looked at my mom. "You and me and some talking to do young one." She said as she touched my nose, I scrunched up my face. "Am I in trouble?" I asked. "No, you just need to tell me everything." He smiled.
"Not everything." I told her, she nodded. "No! You're my mom, you don't need to know everything that goes on." "If you want the boy sleeping in your room, you'll tell me what I wanna hear." She said and walked into the kitchen.
We took the cases upstairs and got into our pyjamas. We were watching tv in bed when mom walked in with two mugs. "Whatcha make us?" Cody asked as he sat up, I sat up too. "Hot chocolate for two of my babies." She handed us one each.
"We've all missed you kids, it's not the same without you." She sat on the end of the bed. "Why?" I asked. "You two are who bring the entertainment, imagine how we coped with you, Cody and Alli gone." "Must of been hell."
"Having only three out of our six babies was hard." She admitted. "But when Alli came back it got a little easier, we're having a barbeque tomorrow night." I smiled at her. "Okay, but I really need sleep and so does Cody."
"Alright, I'm going to bed. I love you." She kissed my forehead and walked out, I smiled. We finished our drinks and then settled back down. I cuddled up to Cody, he wrapped his arms around me protectivly.
"Thank you for taking me on the journey of a life time, I really appriciate it." I looked into Cody's eyes. "Thank you for coming with me for the journey of a life time, I really appriciate it." He smiled, I smiled too. "We're on our own little journey right now and I'm prepared to keep going no matter how many dead ends we come to." Cody added.
"I just want you to know that no matter what I'll always be by your side, even if you don't want me there. I'll never leave your side, I'll always stand by you." I kissed his lips softly. "I love you." "I love you too."
