Chapter 10

The sky glowed a vibrant pink as the princesses flooded the throne room.  Glimmer completely ignored Adora, even skipping her name while taking attendance. This left the other princesses feeling increasingly uncomfortable. Glimmer made announcements of the rebellions recent victories, no mention of the Magicats at all. Adora took a moment to suppress her anger as Glimmer dismissed everyone. 

Just as they were heading down the corridor, Adora slid in front of Spinerella and Netossa, blocking the walkway

Spinnerella smiled kindly. "Why, hello Ado-"

"I need your help," Adora whispered.

the three princesses rushed int Adora's bedroom and closed the door behind them.

Netossa sat down, setting her hand on Adora's shoulder. 

Adora blushed at this and took a deep breath. "I don't know if you noticed Glimmer's 'personality change' lately, but since we destroyed that Horde ship, she's completely out of it!"

Spinerella nodded. 

Adora continued. "And recently, she made Bow cry, blasted me with magic, and has Catra a prisoner in the dungeon. I don't know if that's the kind of thing I want to defend." 

The two wives looked at each other before embracing Adora. "I'm glad someone noticed Glimmer's behavior," Spinnerella admitted.

"I need to see Catra again, know that Glimmer hasn't done something to her, we'll sneak out if we can. Maybe leaving will give Glimmer some kind of reality check."

Netossa smiled. "Spinnerella and I can stall Glimmer during tonight's dinner. you can sneak into the dungeon, help Catra and we'll signal you to come back before Glimmer suspects a thing."

Adora smiled. "Then it's decided. Thank you."

Spinerella and Netossa hurried out of the room. Adora let her mind fill with daydreams. Soon,  Glimmer made her nightly rounds around the castle, much to Adora's annoyance. If all went well tomorrow, she wouldn't have to hear it for much longer.
