Part 10

Dear Diary It's Billie 15th birthday tomorrow, and I'm so excited. She didn't really want to celebrate , so we decided that we're only going to go out for dinner tomorrow.

Remember when I told you that Billie wants to choreograph a dance to her song "Ocean Eyes". Well, we performed it in front of the class last night.And it was soo much fun. Im mean, we kinda worked together on it, but I would say that most of the dance moves were Billies idea. And I think Miss Carter, our dance teacher, even filmed it. She was so amazed by Billies dance.

Im so proud of Billie, and I'm so excited to give her my present tomorrow. I hope she will like it. It's a ring I found a few weeks ago at a store downtown, and it made me think of her.

But it's late so I should probably go to sleep now .____Real-life

The next day

I woke up pretty late in the day ,it was already noon by the time I dragged myself out of bed. I would go over to Billies at 5 pm , so I still had plenty of time to get ready.

But 5pm roled around quicker than I thought. I made my way over to Billies home. It was a quick walk, like only 15 minutes, and dad was at work and mom had a doctors appointment,so there wasn't anyone who could have driven me . But I had no problem walking anyway.

When I arrived, it wasn't Billie who opened the but Zoe. Billie and Zoe had been friends longer than Billie and I have, and they were also pretty close, so I knew she would probably be here today as well.

" Hey Valerie, come in," she stepped aside to let me in before closing the door behind me." Billie is still in here room getting ready." She said as she must have seen my searching look for Billie. I nodded and walked down the hall to Billies room.

She was sitting at her desk doing her hair . As soon as she saw me come in, a big smile spread across her face."Happy Birthday, B," I exclaimed, walking over to her. She got up from her chair, immediately enveloping me in a hug.Damn her hugs are always so good."Thank you , Val," She said, her breath tickling against my neck.

We pulled apart.

"Are you ready to go?" I asked.

" Yeah, I'm almost done ,but hey, look,"Bille held up a pair of brand new Jordan's. " Jo there, sick . Did you get these for your birthday?"

Billie nodded before putting them on and following me out to the living room where everyone else had gathered.

Dinner was really good. We went to Billies favorite vegan restaurant in LA. We talked and laughed and had a really good. The funniest thing is that Billie is just  so unhinged, and Maggie kinda hates it . Her reaction to some of the things Billie said were priceless.

We came back pretty late ,the last conversations slowly fading. Zoe and Claudia left a while ago, and Maggie ,Parker, and Finneas went to bed not long ago. Billie and I had already planned that I would stay over , so we settled in Billies bedroom as well.

Billie was taking off her jewery when I remembered..." Omg Billie! Totally forgot to give you my present "I reached for my backpack, getting out the little box.

I went over to Billie, placing it on the desk in front of her.

"You know you didn't need to gift me anything."Said Billie , but I knew her better. She loved presents. Mostly the ones that had a thought behind it. That's why I didn't want to get her anything expensive. Just something special.

"Yeah, whatever. Now open it!" I said . I was a little nervous that she would like it, but when Billie opened the little box and saw the ring , the nervousness went away.

"It reminded me of you." I explained. It was a simple , more chunkier , silver ring with a blue stone on it.

"Val , I love it . It's so pretty . " She got up from her chair to give me a big hug.Billie was a pretty physical person. Always, beeing touchy, giving hugs , or playing the fingers of the other person . It was her way of showing love and gratefulness.

"I'm glad you like it," I said, pulling away from the hug."But we should get to bed , it's already late."

" Yeah , you're right," said Billie while tucking a loose strand behind my ear, giving me a soft smile.

I climbed into bed , Billie following right behind me. As I turned around to turn off the lamp , Billie spoke again. " By the way , Finneas and I uploaded ocean eyes today on SoundCloud. "

I snapped my head towards Billie, even though it was dark, and I could only make out the outline of Billie in bed next to me .

" Wow, Billie , that's amazing.  I'm so proud of you."

"Thanks Vai. This means a lot coming from.But now let's sleep. "

I smiled and laid down. As I was starting to doze off , I could feel Billie pulling me closer to her and burying  her face in the crook of my neck. She let out a relaxed sigh. Not long after, I fell asleep, too, wrapped up in Billies arms. My favorite place in the world.

A.N.A little shorter this time. Kind didn't know how to end this chapter, so it took me a while to finish.
