Part 1

“Grace!” I yelled. “We’re gonna be late!”

All I could hear was some shuffling before the door to Grace’s bedroom finally opened.

“I know, I know, Valerie. I’m almost done.”

I huffed. I knew she wasn’t almost ready. After four years of friendship, I knew better than to believe that.

“We are so gonna be late,” Chris said next to me.

We had both been ready for at least twenty minutes, just waiting on Grace.

Grace, Chris, and I had managed to score tickets to Coachella.A long-awaited weekend to unwind and escape the stress of everyday life.Just us, some music, and a bit of alcohol.

After twenty painfully slow minutes, we were finally ready and heading out.

“Guys, I’m so excited for Lana Del Rey’s set tonight!” Grace squealed from the backseat.

"Oh yes. It's gonna be so good." Chris agreed.I just nooded and turned my attention back out the window.

To be honest, I had been excited  these past few days . But now I could feel a strange nervousness creepying up my spine.

I didn't know why .Possible scenarios of what could go wrong kept popping up in my mind.

"You good Valerie?"Chris asked ,snapping me out of my trance .

He must've realised I had completed zoned out.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just excidet for tonight. "I said, forcing a smile.

"Me too. Just so you girls know, I'm definitely finding a guy to hook up with tonight . So don't wait up on me." Chris exclaimed.

I knew that he hadn't got laid since his break up with Liam.So it was long overdue for him.

Grace and I just laughed.

I turned my attention back to my phone and scrolled through my spotify Playlist. After picking a new song, I tossed my phone aside with a sigh.

Tonight, I'm going to have a good time, I told myself. No more hiding in my room all day - I need to actually live my life.The excitement started to creep back in, and the serious expression on my face began to soften

Tonight was gonna be a good night. I could feel it.

A.N Please tell me if this is good or not. Also, the first chapter is done . I hope this is good.

Update: I just rewrote this chapter again bit because I was really bad . Might also rewrite the second chapter but well see.
