Chapter 11: The Escape

HyeRim POV

The gleaming light creeping from my window suddenly hit my eyes, as it was morning. I squinted my eyes looking at the window and my hand covered the light that shined onto my eyes. I looked to my left and saw Kai’s sleeping face. I looked down and saw Kai’s arms wrapped around my stomach. I turned my body towards him and touched his soft, smooth cheeks. Kai’s eyelashes fluttered as he was going to wake up, and I then saw his beautiful, brown eyes looking at me. He softly smiled at me and closed his eyes once more. His grip around my body tightened as he nuzzled his head into my neck.

“Good morning…”

He said as he kissed my cheek. I couldn’t help by let a smile creep on my face.

“Good morning… Kai…”

I replied. I tried to get up from the bed, but Kai suddenly pulled me back.

“K-Kai?”

I said.

“Andwae….. Let’s stay in bed…”

He cooed in my ear as he wrapped his arms around me tighter. I giggled at him as he nuzzled his head into my body.

“Kai~ we need to get out of bed~”

I said to him.

“Arraseo arraseo…”

He said as he smiled at me. We both got out of bed and began washing up. It was like it was a dream… Kai was being more…. Gentle…..

As I was brushing my teeth, Kai wrapped his arms around me waist and brushed his teeth as he hugged me. Kai’s head laid on my shoulder as my head leaned onto his head. After washing up, we both ate breakfast together and afterwards, we both went our separate ways as he had a schedule and I had work. I smiled to myself thinking of Kai…. He was so sweet and nice to me today, unlike other days…

Kai POV

I smiled to myself, as I was already excited for the day to be over. I wanted to see HyeRim as fast as I can, I want to touch her, I want to care for her…. I just want to…. Love her…… Although…. There is one thing that troubles the both of us….. Her uncle… He hasn’t been interfering with her and me lately…. I mused in my thoughts as I was thinking of HyeRim….

“Kai-shi? Kai-shi?”

A woman said.

“N-Ne?”

I said. I had completely forgotten that I was at an interview along with the other EXO members.

“What is your ideal type?”

She asked me. I smiled to myself thinking of HyeRim and replied,

“Well…. I like a girl that is pretty…… Determined…. Hard working…. Her smile has to be pretty…. And pretty, sparkling eyes….”

I said as I smiled to myself…

“Kai-shi? It looks like you found someone like that already, huh? Just by looking at you smiling to yourself.”

She said as she laughed.

“A-Aniyo…”

I replied as my face turned red.

“You’re turning red!”

Some of the members teased. I rolled my eyes and smiled as I looked the other way.

A Few Hours Later

“Kai….. Was the ideal type you were describing… HyeRim?”

Chanyeol asked. I looked towards the ground and replied,

“Ne…. It was HyeRim..”

Chanyeol didn’t say anything afterwards and went inside the car. Chanyeol and I didn’t talk or even make any eye contact for the whole day… Although every time I would look at him, my eyes would look directly at the corner of his lips. I could see the injury; I left on him when we fought, covered with make up. As we were on our way to our next interview, I overheard Suho hyung talking to Kyungsoo.

"Yeah.. I heard that CEO YoungMin was going to go out of the country for something for like a week in a few days….”

At that moment, when I heard Suho…. I knew that this could be a chance for HyeRim and YoungJoo to run away from their uncle… But how? I only had a week and a half to think of a plan…. Everyday I would come back from my schedule and HyeRim would greet me right when I walked into the house… Just her smile was enough for me to make me forget about the bad parts of the day. Every night for a week we would cuddle, we would talk and laugh before we slept. I knew that just from that week…… That I was in love with Hyerim…..

The Next Day (night)

HyeRim POV

“Kai! What do you want for dinner?”

I asked as he just got out of the shower. His body glistened as water dripped from his well-toned body. I still couldn’t get used to his body every time he got out of the shower. I turned away and started listing foods that I could make for dinner as I stood next to my bed. Until, I suddenly felt wet arms wrap around my waist. I looked over my shoulder and saw Kai.

“Can I have you then?”

He asked.

“M-Mwoh?”

I asked.

“Can I have you for dinner? I’m really hungry right now…”

He said as his hands began softly and sensually touching my body. I suddenly softly moaned a little as his hands started getting towards my thighs. Kai smiled and replied,

“So is that a yes?”

He asked. I turned red just thinking about it and Kai saw my red face. I could see from the corner of my eyes, his dazzling smile. Kai suddenly turned my body towards him and his soft lips touched mine. I could feel the corner of his lips curl up as he smiled while he kissed me. I smiled as well as I could feel Kai’s arms leading my body onto the bed. Kai led my body towards the comforters of my bed. I bounced a little as my body laid on the bed as we continued to kiss. Our kiss was exhilarating as his tongue entered my mouth. His salivating, warm tongue began sensually swarming around my mouth just like always. Although, this time was different…. It was as if it was full of love… Kai’s body was towering over mine as my petite body lain below him on the bed. Kai departed from the kiss and looked at me in the eyes. I moaned. I could feel Kai smiling at me as he kissed my neck. Kai’s hands were slowly outlining the curves of my body as my arms wrapped around his neck. He said as he looked at me directly into my eyes. My eyes began to water.

I said as I started to cry.

At that point, I couldn’t stop thanking him. Kai touched my cheek and wiped away my tears.

“I haven’t rescued your brother yet….. So don’t cry…”

He said. I nodded and we continued to cuddle under our blanket.

Kai POV

Days past, and it was about a week into the week that YoungMin was out of the country. I knew that I couldn’t do this alone, as I had visited YoungMin’s house many times to play with YoungJoo. There were many guards that often guarded the place and his head maid would often check up on us every time we would come over.

“Chanyeol…”

I said.

“What?”

Chanyeol said, as he didn’t look at me.

“I need your help…”

I said in a soft voice.

“Mwoh?”

Chanyeol said as he turned towards me.

“I said…. I need your help….”

I said louder. Chanyeol scoffed at me and looked at me once more.

“Why should I help you? Is this some sort of trick?”

He asked.

“Please… Just help me….”

I pleaded him as he started walking away.

“Waeyo?”

He said as he continued to walk away.

“Help me…. Help me save HyeRim and her brother..”

I said as I grabbed hold on his arm. Chanyeol seemed frozen.

“How can I believe that you are really doing this for HyeRim?”

Chanyeol asked as he looked at me in the eyes.

*Fast forward *

Narrator POV

Kai and HyeRim went over to YoungMin’s house a day later in the afternoon to go visit YoungJoo. Kai entered the house first and YoungJoo came over to greet him.

“Hyung! Where’s noona?”

He asked in a curious tone. Kai smiled at him and replied,

“Don’t worry… Noona’s coming.”

He replied to him. YoungJoo nodded and waited next to the door, wanting to surprise his sister when she came in.

“Noona!”

He screamed as he jumped in her arms.

“YoungJoo-ah! I missed you!”

She replied back.

“I missed you too! Noona, what should we play today?”

He asked.

“Hmmm…. I don’t know… Let’s play in your room!”

She suggested. YoungJoo nodded and led both Kai and her to his room.

An Hour Later

Kai left the room and made his way towards the head maid.

“Chogiyo…”

He said.

“Ne?”

She replied.

“I think there’s something wrong with your toilet, it won’t flush.”

He said.

“Jinjja? Okay, I’ll go check on it.”

She said. Kai followed her to the bathroom to stall her for the time being on the other hand, HyeRim was sneaking YoungJoo outside.

“Noona, where are we going?”

He asked HyeRim.

“We… We’re going on a trip.”

She said. YoungJoo was excited, although the hard part about this whole operation was that HyeRim had to sneak her younger brother across a giant front yard in order to reach the street. Especially cause they were sneaking out in the wide open, Kai had to find a way to stall the maid for a while.

“Hmm… I don’t see the problem with the toilet.”

She said. The head maid then looked up and looked through a window that was inside the bathroom. Her facial expression changed to a dark expression and she then made her way to the phone.

“Chogiyo! What’s going on?”

Kai asked.

“Yah! I know what you’re planning.”

She said as he gave him an ugly face. Kai tried to give her a confused face, but she didn’t seem to break.

“I know that you’re trying to buy time for that girl and her brother to escape.”

She said as she dialed a number on the phone. Kai had to stop her, so Kai grabbed both of her arms and began wrestling with her.

“Yah! Stop!”

She shouted.

“Yoboseyo?”

The other line said.

“Yah! Get outside pronto! The little boy and the girl are escaping!”

She shouted into the phone. Kai had to let them escape no matter what, so Kai then made his way outside to the front yard. Kai tried to run as fast as he could and finally made it to HyeRim. HyeRim was a few feet away from the car that Chanyeol was in. Kai grabbed her hand and twirled her towards him.

“Kai! Come on! Let’s go!”

HyeRim said.

“Andwae… I can’t.”

He bluntly replied.

“Why not?”

HyeRim said.

“The guards…. They’re coming… I can’t come.”

Kai replied.

“No! You have to run away with us!”

HyeRim said as a tear left her eye. Kai suddenly touched her cheek and kissed her passionately. As Kai departed from the kiss, HyeRim was stared into his deep, brown eyes.

“HyeRim….. I love you…”

He said. HyeRim’s eyes widened.

“M-Mwoh?”

She asked, but Kai didn’t hear as he threw her into the car.

“Chanyeol….. Remember your promise to protect her with your life…”

Kai said. Chanyeol nodded and started driving off.

“Kai! Kai!”

HyeRim shouted, but Kai just waved to her. HyeRim saw Kai turn around and was suddenly surprised with a barrage of attacks from the guards. In just an instant, Kai was on the ground…..
