"Ow Chad." Phoebe complained as Chad took his belt off and placed it around her thigh, pulling it really tight.

"I have to keep it from bleeding. I need to go find Mindy." He said.

"Did she call the cops?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, they should be here soon." He said before getting up and running to the back of his house.

After a while of just laying on the ground and feeling the throbbing pain in her leg, the paramedics came through the door and came to where she was laying on the floor.

"Hi sweetheart, we're gonna get you fixed up okay. You just hold tight." One of the ladies said.

"Whoever put this on did a good job, it could have been much worse." She added.

Once at the hospital Phoebe lay in the emergency room with her leg sprawled out being prepped for stitches.

"Do we really need to do this while I'm stitching her up officer?" The doctor said.

"It will keep her mind off of the pain." The officer said, the doctor only rolling his eyes.

Chad sat next to her while the officer stood at the end of the gurney.

"So, how did this 'ghostface' get in the house?" He asked as Phoebe felt a needle go into her leg and she sucked in a sharp breath.

"I don't know, I just remember texting Chad and Mindy about what happened t-" She stopped and cut herself off before finishing.

"What happened to who?" The officer inquired.

"About what happened to Dewey." She said.

"Then the next thing I got a phone call, was stupid and I answered it, blah blah blah you know how it goes. It's how it always goes, ow!" She said as she felt another pinch.

"Was a door unlocked?" The officer asked.

"You're asking a lot of stupid questions dude." Chad said, annoyed at the officer.

"I'm just trying to understand how all of this happened." He said.

"No, I didn't leave a door open or unlocked, they got in because they always get in. I almost died, because people like us always die, because the cops can't figure out how to do shit. I mean fuck, my mother was the sheriff and her and my brother ended up dead. Maybe you should be more focused on why you can't catch them, then how they got into my house." Phoebe snapped.

"Now, if you don't mind. I need to relax while my leg gets sewed up. I can answer whatever questions you want later. But not now." She said, laying back and looking back at the ceiling.

"I'm through, we'll contact you with updates." He said before leaving.

"I'm so over this shit." Phoebe said as she felt one last pinch.

"All done." The doctor said before bandaging it up.

"No over doing it, you'll rip the stitches, but after about ten days you should be good to come and get them checked out. Stay out of trouble young lady, I don't wanna be stitching you up again." He said before leaving the area.

Phoebe swung her leg over the bed and stood up.

"Are you okay with staying at my place tonight?" Chad asked.

"Yeah, it's not like I wanna be at my place by myself." Phoebe said with a half laugh.

"I know, I just didn't know cause of what happened you know." He said.

"Chad, it's okay. I just feel bad that I got blood all over your mom's floor." She said with a smile.

Phoebe's phone was dinging continuously as it lay on the bed, message after message.

"You should probably answer at least one of those." Chad said.

"Yeah." She said, picking her phone up to see multiple messages from Will popping back up as a reminder.

Will: Phoebe, can we talk?

Will: Phoebe, I'm sorry if we left off wrong. I'm sorry, I want us to be okay.

Will: Phoebe? Please.

Will: Phoebe?

"Shit." She said before dialing his number, it rang and rang until it he finally picked up.

"Phoebe, it's like one in the morning." He said in a groggy voice.

"I know, I'm sorry. Look, Will. I'm sorry I didn't reply to your texts, tonight got really crazy. I'm in the ER, I just got done getting stitched up, but I can like come over to your place if you want." She said.

"Wait, Phoebe, stitched up? What happened?" He asked.

"I got attacked at Chad and Mindy's." She said.

"I didn't know, shit I'm sorry." He said.

"No no, you couldn't have known. Look, how about I come and see you tomorrow?" She said.

"Look Phoebe, I know how much you're going through right now, I don't want to stress you out any more. When all of this is over, maybe we can just restart, but please don't hate me. I am so tired, can we talk tomorrow?" He asked.

"Of course, goodnight Will." She said.

"Night Phoebe." He said, she then hung up.

"You ready?" Chad asked.

"Yeah." She said and the two headed back to the house.

Once back home and upstairs, Phoebe hopped in the shower, careful not to pull at the bandages. She rinsed off the crusted blood from her body and once she was done she got dressed in a set of pajamas. She then made her way over to Chad's room before she went to the guest bedroom.

"Hey." She said as she knocked on the door frame.

"Hey." He said as he was starting to get into bed.

"I just wanted to thank you for everything tonight. Really, you guys have gone to so much trouble, I don't know what I would do without you." She said as he walked over and embraced her into a hug.

"You know we love you Phebes." He said.

"I know. I love you Chad." She mumbled into his chest as they continued their hug. After minute they pulled away from each other.

"I'm going to try to get some sleep." She said before leaving his room and making her way to the guest room.

She climbed in bed and turned off the lamp and she closed her eyes as she tried to get some sleep. The pain in her leg and arm had subsided for the time being thanks to the painkillers, but Phoebe couldn't find anything to help console the pain in her head and heart. That was something only time could fix, and god knows she hoped and prayed that she got more time.
