43 - Eyes..don't lie?

It was silent before rustling noises could be heard around some bushes in the eerie forest.

Quiet footsteps approached the noise like a predator hunting for a little bunny rabbit. Himawari was letting out soft groans of frustrations as her head throbbed. Her eyes were closed and she was clearly out of it. Not even realizing there was someone approaching her.

The soft glow of the moonlight trickled upon  Himawari's face. Bright flaming eyes bore unto Hima's figure, analzying- no- lost in a trance while looking at her.

Takiishi felt like his breath was knocked out of his chest like it was getting harder to breathe.

Why was he even feeling that way? He also didn't know why.

He doesn't want to know the reason.

He also didn't know why people were so obsessed about this girl when he can't even see an ounce of uniqueness in her.

Sure she looks different and all but what else?

Could she defeat Umemiya?

Hmm....it does seem like they're all smitten by her. Maybe she can.

That would be interesting.

Can.....she....

...defeat me?

Takiishi's mind was now filled with those thoughts, he was getting distracted but his body knew where to go.He walked over to her, his feet stepping closer and closer to her figure. She still hasn't noticed him at all.

Her body was on the ground, he was thinking whether she tripped and rolled to her front or..just laid there.

He crouched down and placed his arms on his knees, admiring her closer now.

His hand reached out, about to poke her face but a swift hand stopped his hand from doing so.

Mismatched eyes now stared back at him, his palms almost sweating by how taken aback he felt. The grip on his wrist grew tighter by the second. 'What's this?'

"You"

Takiishi just blinked at her, not knowing what to say and didn't even want to utter a word as Himawari spoke.

Blown out dilated pupils were staring at him like it was reading his soul. Such an eerie and weird feeling.

"What?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow at her.

"Help me up, I can't move"

"What?"

Was she seriously asking him to help her? Does it look like he'll help her? Does she even know who he is? He thought to himself, she wouldn't possibly ask him of that if she knew.

'Should I just act nice?'

He almost smirked at the idea but kept his poker face on.

"Why? You can't stand up?" He asked calmly.

"Would I be asking if I could?" She answered sarcastically which almost pissed Takiishi, his eye twitched for a second before he observed her whole body for a few seconds.

He thought maybe she broke something and  that may be the reason why she can't stand up.

He scooted over to her feet and rolled up her pants to see what was wrong. And there he saw what the reason was- her ankle was swollen, probably tripped while she was walking or running.

"Apologies. Hold on then." He went closer to her, Himawari expected he would just pull her up but imagine the shock on her face when she felt his hands on her legs and the other on her back and lifted her up in his arms.

Hima held unto Takiishi, afraid of falling off on the ground because of her already broken ankle. She was feeling weird, this guy looks familiar to her like she should know who he is but she can't place her finger on it.

As she was about to ask who he was, someone suddenly appeared which surprised Himawari, her sweat ran cold.

"So that's where you ar- Wait....are you seriously carrying her?"

Endo's eyes watched the two of them in amusement, a large smirk on his face. He didn't know where to look, both of them looked amazing in his eyes.

"E-endo?"

He looked over at her as she called out to him, giving her a toothy grin. "Yes? That's me"

Himawari was confused why he was there and how do they know each other. Why is he acting like nothing even happened.

"You know him?" She asked as she glanced over at Takiishi.

His gaze shifts over to her, curious on what's  on her mind. "No I don't", he boredly replied and proceeded to walk pass Endo.

"Heyyy! That's mean! He knows me like a whole lot okay- he's just joking" Endo ran to catch up with them again, still amused by the events that were unfolding.

"No I'm not joking" Takiishi uttered again but was ignored by Endo speaking over him while he looked at Himawari.

"I told you, you should've followed me earlier Himawari. You're all alone...but we're here now no worries"

Such words sounded comforting to her somehow. So sweet she's almost believing it.

"You don't have to worry" Now it was Takiishi who was speaking such..sweetness..or bitterness?

"Everyone back there...they're all mad..it's better if you stay with us for now. I'm pretty disappointed with them to be honest..." Endo watched her reactions as he spoke. The poor girl looks upset and that's exactly what he wanted to see.

Both men felt the thrilling blood rush to their chest, their hearts pumping in excitement. Truly entertaining.

For Himawari to crumble.
