29 - Through Brother's eyes

Haruka Sakura's POV 

Ah crap I passed out-

My eyes opened as I heard distant voices getting louder and louder as my consciousness woke up. 'Who's that..?'

"You have to help me discuss this with him!" Himawari?

"I know, that's why I'm here"

"But I didn't tell you to come here..!" Who's she talking to..

"Shh..you'll wake him up Himawari" Himawari?

Who's calling her that-

"Hima" My voice called out, my upper body springing up once I got ahold of what was going on, I looked over to the side just to see my sister....with......Umemiya.

"Haru!" She called out as she held my hand in hers, she looks worried.

"Why is he here?" Ah I feel like passing out again-

"Well uhm..well I told him you passed out because of what I said and next thing I knew, he's already here" She explained as she looked over to her side.

"I think I deserve a detailed explanation" 

"Yes you do.....I'm sorry I just didn't know how to word it out.." Her gaze lowers to her hands as she spoke. 'Ah she might think I'm mad at her'

"It's okay Hima..just tell me how this all happened....are we in trouble because he knows? Do you want me to beat him up-" Before I could finish my sentence, she placed her hands on my mouth, preventing me from speaking.

"No no it's not like that..he said he won't tell a soul" 'Did he now?'

"Is that true?" I looked over at Umemiya who was smiling gently at me. 

"Yeah" He answered out plainly but his voice held out such highness in it.

'Can I trust him?'

'Can we trust him?'

"I respect you a lot...I just don't want people to separate my sibling from me. I hope you understand why I'm being skeptical. I just want to make sure." I said as I sighed out and narrowed my eyes at him. 'Leader or not, I'll end you if you do anything to Hima.'

"I understand, I mean no harm. I can see that both of you are good people and you guys already did so much for the town. I couldn't thank you guys enough for it. In this way, I'll keep your secret as my secret as well" His smile never wavered as he spoke. I feel like I could trust him..

"Tss fine. Just don't call her Hima, only I can call her that" I looked over to the side and pursed my lips. 

"Ha ha yes roger that" 

"So how did it happen..?" I looked back at them again and I could see the faint blush in Himawari's cheeks..what exactly happened..

"Well- My..uhm..binder...b-broke.." 'I see..-'

"Hmm....WAIT YOUR WHAT B-BROKE?! WHAT DID HE DO TO YOU?" I clenched my fist, rushing off the bed to grab Umemiya but Hima pushed me back.

"C-calm down it's not what you think-" 

"It broke-? I didn't know-" Umemiya suddenly interrupted which made both my eyes and Hima's dart over to Umemiya.

"W-what? Then how did you-" Hima looks surprised as she stared at Umemiya..I also don't know what's happening-

"Ah..the thing that snapped was your binder..hence why you closed your jacket all the way up? I didn't notice..your jacket is quite big after all.." Umemiya explained and I just nodded my head, trying to process everything.

"Thank the heavens that you didn't see, I would've killed you-" Hima placed her hands on my mouth again, my voice muffling out.

"Haruka!" 'What-'

"I didn't do anything..I even helped out..I carried Himawari all the way here" Umemiya said while scratching the side of his neck.

"You carried her here?" My eyebrows furrowed then I looked at her then at him then at Himawari again. A lot of things happened huh..

"Yeah, she said she wasn't feeling well" Umemiya answered.

"You weren't? Are you okay now?" I looked at Hima, worry filling my voice as I waited for her to answer. "And you, refer to Hima as a male when we're outside, got it?" I said as I glanced over at Umemiya, he only nodded with a smile.

"I'm fine Haru" She answered, making me look back at her again.

"If Umemiya keeps his part of keeping the secret..I am indebted to you in all ways. So please..don't tell anyone" I lowered my head at him, showing the full sincerity of my words.

"Don't bow your head Sakura. I'll keep it a secret. Let's all just focus on our trainings and patrolling" 'Oh I almost forgot about that'

"I'll make sure the town is safe" I said confidently, clenching my fists tightly as I spoke out.

"See? I told you your a great guy!" Umemiya clasped his hands and smiled wider.

"I-I'm not-!" My cheeks grew warm as I looked over at the side then I heard Hima chuckle from beside me.

"I'll cook something up, I'm getting hungry" Hima said as she stood up from her seat, walking out of the room.

"I'll help" I said as I also got up from the bed, making my way over to her.

"Me too" Umemiya said as he got on his feet.

"Why are you still here-oomfph-" 'She covered my mouth again'

Himawari Sakura's POV

Cooking with Haruka and Furin's representative was definitely not on my plans today but oh well-

A lot of things happened and I feel like I couldn't really keep up with it..

Umemiya made some soup while I cooked some marinated chicken then Haru helped out with the cooking and chopping.

They're both wearing aprons, that's so cute haha.

"Let's eat" I said as I plate everything nicely, setting it down on the table.

"Wish everyone was here to enjoy this" Umemiya said as he sat down, admiring the food.

"I don't think we'll fit in our tiny apartment Umemiya-san.." I replied as I laughed out awkwardly.

"Don't plan on inviting someone else- You're already stressful as it is-" "Shush, I know you admire him a lot. You're probably enjoying this" I hushed him and shook my head, I could see the blush creep out of his cheeks and ears.

"I do not!"

"You do"

"No-"

"I didn't know you admire me Sakura hehe that sounds nice" Umemiya butted in with a big smile on his face. 

"Shut up!" Haru said, his face completely red.

He stood up and grabs some drinks before setting it down on the table, "Let's just e-eat okay?"

"Ahhh~ I'm stuffed! Thank you for the food~" Umemiya said as he stretched his upper body back, his arms flexing down on the floor mat.

"Why are you still here? It's late" Haruka said as he stared at him then looked at the clock.

'He's right though, it's already dark outside'

"Do you really want me to go that bad Sakura?" Umemiya pouted his lips and looked over at Haru with sad eyes. 

"I'm just worried cuz it's night time already 'k-kay!" He answered, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I'll be fine, I can handle myself" He said as he began to smile, his pout disappearing from his lips.

"I- okay" Haru said as he gave up on retorting back.

I only shook my head and let out a chuckle as I watched them.

"Well since your so worried, I'll head on home. Have a great night you two, I'll see you two tomorrow in school" Umemiya said as he stood up, stretching his body before heading for the door.

"We'll see you out" I said as I stood up as well, Haru following behind as we walked up to the entrance and watched as Umemiya put on his shoes and walked out of our apartment.

"Thank you for having me, the food was great!" He smiled and waved his hand before he disappeared in the night, his hair glowing under the moonlight as he walked further and further away.

"Haruka" I called out to Haru and looked over at him as he stood beside me.

"Mhm?"

"I forgot to ask him something" I said as I finally realized what was bugging me earlier.

I couldn't shake it off but I never understood why..but now I know what it is.

"What is it?" He asked as his attention went over to me.

"I forgot to ask how he knew that I was a girl"

"Oh"
