15 - Fever

I sniffled and wiped my nose as we walked to school. I wasn't even supposed to go to school because Haru wouldn't let me- I had to convince him-

[Flashback]

"Oi. You're sick what are you doing all dressed up huh?" Haru said scolding me as I got out of the shower, drying my hair.

"Come on it's just a little cold..I won't move around while in school"

"No."

"Haru come on" I said, standing in front of him. 'You can do it Hima.'  I pout my lips and stared at him with the best pleading look I could do. "I promise it'll be gone before the day ends~ Pretty please big brother~?" He stared at me for a moment then looked away. 'That's it. It's working-'

"F-fine- You better stay beside me at all times or else- You'll go straight back home" 'HEHEHE'

[End of Flashback]

As we got in class, I immediately sat down as the others greeted us good morning, I mumbled out a quiet "morning" before sitting down on one of the seats. 

"Are you okay Sakura-chan?" I heard Kiryu say, looking at me while tilting his head to the side. I was about to answer but flinched at the presence behind me.

"Are you sick? Your face is pink all over" I felt Suo's breath against my ear which startled me a bit. He better be thankful he's good looking- I would've punched his face for not having personal space in his vocabularies.

"A-ah yeah I kind of got stuck in the rain yesterday" I said, laughing awkwardly when someone suddenly came in and went up to Anzai-san and gave him something, saying someone handed it to him and asked if he could give it to Anzai. 

Anzai stared at the contents of the envelope, looking mortified. He stood up and ran out the classroom in a hurry. 

I saw as how Haru stood up and followed after Anzai, running as he did so. 'There he goes'

I stood up and saw the others stand up as well, huh- They followed after me as I also ran to catch up with Haru, we stopped by the stairs and listened in first before showing ourselves.

"I saw a guy wearing a Keel jacket stealing from some poor woman..It wasn't within our town but I wanted to catch him so I grabbed his hood and....I saw the face of my childhood friend...He punched me and threw the purse before running off..That's why yesterday I tried to go there to bring him back..he looked at me like he didn't want to be saved..but he was crying.." Anzai explained while looking down at the ground. 

"I don't know what could've happened but he was crying..that's enough reason to save him. I want to pull him out of that hole!" His voice was now louder, more stronger, like he was eager to save him. 

"Aight, let's go" We heard Haru say but Anzai started saying that he didn't want Furin to get involved with his personal problems. "It doesn't matter who I'm up against, I'm not going in there as a Furin member. I promised that girl I'd bring Nagato back. That's all there is to it" Wow- Haruka..

"Ah so that's what it was.." Kiryu went down the stairs and we followed after him. "If you're gonna hide something, you should've done better than that" He continued as he smiled at Anzai.

"We're here for you Anzai-san.." I said smiling as well. The others agreed and said we'll help him out as well. 

"You guys-"

"Sugishita-kun! Hurry up or you'll get left behind. I'm sorry I woke you up but if everyone went out and left to save a friend and you aren't there..Umemiya-san will get sad.." Suo said as he went down the stairs as well. 'He sure does know how to make Sugishita to follow him around-'

While we were walking, I suddenly felt a scary presence beside me. I turned to look and saw Haru- He's glaring at me-

"Care to explain why you are here..going with us?"

"Uhm..." I gulped and pursed my lips not knowing what to say. "I'm not gonna cause any trouble Haru" I said while smiling awkwardly.

"That's not the point here Himawari. You're sick. You might get hurt, I don't want that to happen" He said, his facial expression softening.

"Awh look at you being so protective" We got startled when Suo suddenly appeared and placed an arm over Haruka's shoulder, smiling gently. "Though I have to admit, I side with you. We'll just have to protect your twin extra harder huh?" He said as he looked at Haru then winked over at me. 'T-this as-' I turned away, getting flustered.

"Why are you even talking like you're apart of this conversatio-" Haruka started to protest but Suo just dragged me away from him. We could hear Haru's shouting as we walked further from him.

Moments later, we arrived.

Whirr

The breeze around the area contained the smell of the scent of the ocean, metal and rust all together. 'I may be sick but that smell can't be ignored-'

The entrance seems to be locked though- It wasn't much of a problem because Sugishita kicked it open..the lock is broken..

'He's a strong dude-'

"We were only supposed to have an appointment with one of you. We've got a whole breaking down party today!"  Who the hell is this crap?

"Oh well whatever. Hey Nagato! Your friend's here! Come, come. Get yer asses over here." He held Nagato's head as he talked..'he's messed up..'

Anzai got mad and dashed over but Haru stopped him. 

"Aren't you all from Furin? What are y'all doing here sticking yer noses into other people's business?"

"I didn't come here as a Furin member. I have to bring that guy back. Hand him over." Haru said as he walked a little more forward. I stared at his back, 'When did his back look that big?'

"Nah I don't wanna."

"I didn't ask for your permission." 

I saw the guy look down at Haruka and stuck out his tongue. 'I'll cut that off'

"Alright..if you're gonna get in my way.." Haru walked closer, looking up at the guy. 

"...I'll just send all of you flying..before I take him back." 

His aura completely changed along with his tone, he's dead serious. I felt goosebumps throughout my body as I listened to his voice.

"So in that case..we gotta defend ourselves huh?" The dude said while smirking, other members of Keel started to surround us. 'They said it's a small scale group...but we're getting surrounded..'

"You guys can step back..I'll handle it" We heard Haru say which made us look at him. 'What is he saying'

"It's not like you can do this on your own" One of our classmates said which we all agreed on. 

"Heh..heh..Alright end them everyone!" We heard the guy from up the railings say and his members started to attack us with weapons in their hands.

"Don't go underestimatin' Furin!"

A pipe swung right in front of my face but I managed to dodge it. 'What the hell-' The guy who swung the pipe looked at me with a crazy smile.

"Hey. Did you just do what I thought you just did?" Suo suddenly appeared in front of me, his voice is lower than usual..

"Yeah, gonna do something about it eyepatch?" the guy said smirking down at Suo.

"Yes I will do something about it." Suo's body turned and started attacking the guy holding the pipe, moving his legs swiftly while avoiding to get hit.

Another Keel member showed up, he looks young but his eyes are dark and blank. 'Another crazy bastard'

He was holding a large piece of wood with wire wrapped around the end and swung it towards Nirei, I dashed and moved it away using my leg.

"Nirei you alright?" I asked as my eyes glanced at him quickly, he nodded at me. "I-I'm sorry Sakura-san" 

"Hey it's okay I got you" I beamed at him but something almost hit my face yet again, "Hey. Don't get distracted or else I'll break your head open" I turned and saw the kid with the stick looking at me with that crazy look in his eyes.

I glared at him then glanced at Suo, our eyes met for a second before he looked back at his own opponent. "Suo-san, protect Nirei and I'll keep this dude out of your way" I could see the hesitation in his eyes before he reluctantly agreed.

"I told you not to get distracted!" I slid my body to the side as the piece of wood barely glazed over my side. "Jeez calm your nerves down kid" I said as my mouth opened and curved into a open-mouthed smile.

I could feel a slight throb in my head, 'Not now..stupid cold. Hang on Hima'

My feet staggered as I dodged the guy's attacks, he's fast this is not good..

"Look at you, can't keep up?" I looked up at him to see him smirking at me. "Piss off" I glared at him, why is he moving so fast it's making me dizzy..

My eyes scanned the area to look for Haru and saw him fighting someone and my eyes widened as I saw someone go behind him with a bar in hand. 

I ignored my own opponent and ran as fast as I could, jumping over at the bodies that piled on the ground. My vision was getting blurry with each second, my chest felt heavier. 'Get it together..I'm so close-'

"Haru!" I shouted for him as I reached him, I didn't even feel the bar hitting my head before I felt blood stream down my face. 

"HIMA!" Haru's voice seems to be quieter..why is his voice so muffled..? My vision is so blurry..My head's throbbing..I don't even know if it's because of the injury or my cold acting up..I don't care..

'I have to make sure I'm okay..Haru will get worried..'

I felt my body fall to the ground and the last thing I saw was Kaji's body flying over my body as he kicked someone out of the way.

"Thank god someone came..Haru will be okay.."

My vision went black.

Anyways...I'm facing a bit of a challenge and I would like to ask for your help. So I'm not sure how to address Tsubaki-chan..I searched online because I want to see official statements about it but only saw that the English translators address Tsubakino as he/him..What pronouns should I use?:( help:( I don't want to disrespect Tusbakino's character! Love Tsubaki-chan sm<3
