~Lucy's Memory Flashback~

Young Lucy sobbed.

''Luce, are you okay?'' a young blonde kid asked her crying figure.

''Vincent, Father doesn't even know today is my birthday.'' Lucy claimed as she sobbed.

''Maybe he remembers and just wanna surprise you.'' Vincent consoled.

''Is that true?'' Lucy asked, wiping her tears with enthusiasm.

''Yes, so don't cry.'' Vincent smiled at her comfortingly.

~End of Flashback~

''How are you?'' Lucy asked.

''I’m very fine. Our business is going well, and I am just travelling around Fiore. How about you?'' Vincent replied and asked.

''Me? Well, I’m always busy.'' Lucy replied and smiled back. Aside from the usual missions she does with Natsu, she's also working on her novel.

''You know Luce, I miss your smile." Vincent confessed. He was looking at her eyes straight, a blush in his cheek.

Lucy looked at him wide-eyed, blushing at his confession. He can really be straight-forward.

Meanwhile, as the two childhood friends talk, a certain dragon slayer observed from their back. It's not usual that someone claimed to know Lucy from her childhood. While normally, he wouldn't have bothered with all the talk, maybe it's because it's Lucy that he cared enough to eavesdrop.

''Ehhh?'' Natsu whispered in confusion. "Lucy does know this guy."

''Are you free tonight?" the celestial spirit wizard, asked. It's been a while, and maybe she can get some news from her hometown.

'Vincent paused for a while, a finger in his chin, seemingly thinking before answering. "I guess I am."

''Wanna go to my place tonight?" Lucy invited, a smile still plastered on her face.

''Of course, I would love to. It's been so long since we last talked together." He agreed enthusiastically.
