Chapter 32 (Jelly Nini)

3rd person's POV

It's been months when Lili started to court Jennie but they're not yet official. Most of the time Lili will visit the brunette's  CEO in her office, they will go out for dinner and drive her home. She will also deliver a flower or chocolate for the girl. They will exchange sweet text messages every day, they will go out to have a talk like getting to know more each other likes and wants and don'ts.

Lili is still doing her passion for photography and dancing while helping Chaeyoung to their family business. She may be a busy person but there are no days that she will not give time to visit and see Jennie which makes the latter fall in love more with her. They have on the mutual understanding stage but there's no label between the two of them being official.

Lili is okay with it she's more willing to wait for Jennie to give her the magic word which is the 3 words and 8 letters to her. She's sure the Jennie likes her back if we will be basing on the brunette's action but Lili's ain't sure what hinders Jennie to make the both of them official girlfriends.She's more than willing to wait for the right time for both of them.

Lili's POV

I just talked to one of the flower shop's attendants about what kind of bouquet to be delivered to Jennie today. And they sent me a picture.

Daebak! It's as beautiful as her.

Yesterday I gave her a bouquet of daisy and she really likes it since it's her favorite flower. Since the day that she allows me to court her, I never failed to gove her a flower, I actually partnered with the flower shop so I can be able to do my plans.

I will be attending a 2 days business trip today since Chaeng will have a separate meeting this afternoon to one of our stakeholders and tomorrow she will accompany Jisoo to meet one of the clients who plan to invest in our company. This is the least that I can do to help my hard-working sister.

I'm starting to fix my things in my luggage when Chaeng entered my room.

Chaeng: Hey! Are you sure that you will attend? You know I can reschedule my meeting later and I will let you go with Jisoo instead of tomorrow.

Lili: Aniya! Don't you trust me? I will do it.

Chaeng: It's not that I don't trust you. I know that you hate that kind of gathering especially business is involved. And this is the first time that you will attend alone so I don't want you to be bored.

Lili: Don't worry about me,  maybe it's time for me to go out in my comfort zone. And I don't have any commitments for this coming 2 days, so let me handle this.

Chaeng: If you say so. But if you need anything, please message me, reason?

Lili: I will master! You too, message me if you need anything but I'm not worried. For sure Jisoo Unnie will take care of you. *chuckles*

Chaeng: Yaaah! Stop teasing and hurry up you will be late on your flight.

Lili zips her luggage when she's done packing for her 2 days and 1-night clothes. Chaeng drives her to the airport and hugged her tight for goodbye. She will miss her crackhead sister for not being around for 2 days.

On the other hand, Lili makes sure to message Jennie first before she turned off her phone when the plane onboard. It's just a one hour flight.

Jisoo's POV:

I'm currently in Jennie's office. I saw her smiling again from ear to ear when she received the flowers that Lili gave. She smiled more when she received a text from her girl. I love seeing Jennie being happy again. I mean genuinely happy,  last time I saw that smile is when she's still with Lisa. It's been two years when that smile didn't show up. Seeing their relationship upgrade made me realize that I need to double time on letting Chaeng feel what I really feel towards her.

Speaking of Chaeng, I will be with her tomorrow to meet one of the investors, I  also asked her out after the meeting and she said yes. I haven't told her yet that I like her.I'm not really good in words but tomorrow I will make sure to tell her everything.

For sure you guys are curious about our friends Joy, Irene and Seulgi. We rarely see each other since we graduated and entered the corporate world. The five of us are busy managing our own businesses. But we make sure to update each other on our GC. Joy is still in States for her training, she mentioned that she will be back after 2 weeks. While Irene and Seulgi, the lovebirds are busy with their lovey-dovey time. But they promise that we will be meeting them this coming weekend. We told them regarding Lisa's looked like which is Lili when the five of us had a Skype video call. Jennie showed Lili's picture that made the surprise. Same reaction when we first met Lili. They are also excited to meet Lili to see if she's Lisa's duplicate in person. And we agreed that we will let them met her soon. I just love this friendship that we have. We may never see each other more often but we make sure that every one of us is still connected. We make sure to update each other from time to time.

Lili's POV:

I landed safe and I make sure to update Jennie and Chaeng when I arrived at my hotel. Tonight, we will be having a small gathering of businessmen to expand more to each other's networks. It's only 2 pm so I still have time to rest after a long flight. The party will be at 7 PM. My flight going back to Seoul will be tomorrow afternoon since I still have a meeting in the morning. Currently, I'm browsing my schedule. I fell asleep after.

But then after some hours my phone keep on ringing so, I don't have a choice but to answer it without even looking who's calling.

"Hello" I answered with a crack voice

"Hey wake up, you need to fix yourself and prepare for the gathering tonight". The girl from the other line answered. I know this voice.  It's Jennie who called.

" Hmm, I miss you already". I answered back with a sweet tone but she just laughs at the other line.

That laugh that makes my knee weak every time I heard it. She keeps on talking on the other line while I'm listening to her attentively, her voice sounds like a piece of music to my ear.

"Lili, are you listening or sleeping? " Jennie tried to check me

"I'm listening, how can I missed your beautiful voice. Noted on what you just said. I'll take a bath now so I can change it. I will update you later".I assured her

"Araso, please behave". Jennie tried to emphasize the last word.

I hung up to the call smiling and headed to the bathroom. I soaked myself to warm water in the bathtub relaxing and thinking of Jennie. It's been a day that I didn't see her and I miss her so badly. Chaeng also texted me to remind me about the event.After 20 mins, I opened my luggage to find some clothes to wear. I only brought 4 pairs of clothes so I don't have a choice but to wear this polka dots dress. I put on some makeup and comb my hair. I had a hair extension. I set the camera on timer and filmed myself.

I sent it to Jennie and message her that I'm on my way to the party.

I forgot to charge and my phone life is 10%. I headed to the venue and everyone is already there.  There are 3  people who went up on stage to give a speech while we're having dinner, people keep on roaming around to meet some of the guests. I did the same. I really need to practice being confident in communicating with businessmen. I talked to seven people and discuss our company. We exchange business cards too. I'm about to leave the party when someone called my attention.

"Too early to leave ".The girl is referring to me

"Ah. Hi!  Yeah. I'm planning to have fresh air, I'm suffocating in the crowd".I smiled

"I'm Diana".The girl came closer and introduce herself

"Nice meeting you, I'm Lili Park ".I accepted her handshake while I'm introducing

We talked about random things. She mentioned also that they owned some of the biggest hotels here in Korea even this venue. We have a girl talked while we're having a cocktail drink. She's also funny like me and we clicked in an instant. I'm not being assuming but this Diana is trying to flirt with. She actually whispered in my ear which adds shivers on my entire body because our ear is just an inches away and I can feel her warm breath. She requested the photographer to take a photo for remembrance and I agreed.

It's already 11 PM when I checked the time. I bid for goodbye, she kissed me on my cheek and I just let her do it. I headed to my hotel room to rest. I'm about to message Jennie to let her know that I'm done at the party but my eyes shut down the moment that I lay on my bed. I don't even get a chance to change to my pajamas.

Jennie's POV:

Lili is on a business trip. She sent me a flower again earlier and leave a note saying:

"A little something to let you know you're on my mind and in my soul"

This girl never fails to make my heart flutters. We exchange a message the whole day. I give her a call earlier to check if she's already awake because Chaengmentioned that Lili is a heavy sleeper. (like my Lisa what a coincidence) I called to make sure that she will not miss the party.

She sent me also her picture wearing a white polka dots dress with her hair extension. Her duality! She looks so perfect! For sure she will be a head-turner on the event later.

It's already 12 MN and still no updates or messages from Lili. I tried calling her but her phone is cannot be reached. I opened my social media to get an update for the event. For sure media will be posting a photo or any news since it's one of the biggest events of selected companies here in Korea. Lili represents KGC and Park Group of Companies.  They only need to have 1 participant per company. I wasn't able to squeeze it into my schedule since I have prior commitments. It supposed to be Chaeyoung who will be attending but something came up that's why it ended up being Lili.

I'm busy browsing the news when I saw Lili. She has a picture with a girl. Based on the caption the girl's name is Diana Flipo.

I assume she's the reason why Lili is not updating or answering my call? Maybe she's busy flirting right now with that Diana. I pictured out what they're currently doing and I shake my end " Nooooooo! Erase erase erase!" I screamed in my room.

My blood boils to zero degrees. I think I'm mad. But why should I be mad? Or Jealous? We're not yet official so Lili can do whatever she wants and I don't have any rights to stop her.

I didn't give up, I tried calling her for the 20th time but still, her phone is out of coverage.

I tried to sleep but my mind is still active. I can't stop thinking about her. It's already 4 AM when I fell in a deep sleep. I only have 2 hours of sleep to be exact and it annoys me!

--Next day

Jennie went to the office late. It's been  12 hours ago but still no message from Lili.She makes her self busy reviewing the documents sent by Jisoo. She didn't go out to get for lunch. Luckily, Jisoo ordered outside and handed it to her office.Jen keeps on checking her phone and feels disappointed for not getting any message from Lili. She didn't notice the time and it's already 5 PM. She tried to fix her table so she can leave the office when she saw a familiar figure outside the window talking to her secretary.

After a minute she heard a knock on her door and the one who's knocking opened it slowly.

It's Lili. She's back.

Lili: Hi. Did you miss me? *she is smiling widely*

Jennie: Why are you here? * she answered coldly*.

Lili: Because I miss you? *she walks closer to Jennie who's sitting on her swivel chair and about to give her a kiss but Jen looked away*

Why? Do we have a problem, Jennie? Why you're suddenly acting cold to me?

Jennie: No. We don't have any problem *she stands up to distance her self*

Lili: But why are you like that?* she asked confusedly *

Jennie: Just go home, Lili. Let's talk next time.

Lili: I can't understand you, Jennie. *Her eyebrow furrowed*

Jennie: I guess you really enjoyed your time last night with Diana Flipo that you forgot to message me until this afternoon and here you are showing up as if nothing happened.

Lili: Let me tell you what exactly happened.

Jennie: As I mentioned just go.*she crossed her arms and looked away*

Lili: Yeah! I guess you're right. Let's talk next time. Look, I'm tired and I just came from a long flight but insisted on my self to pay you a visit because I miss you. I do not have the energy to argue with you. Let's meet again if you are willing to listen to my explanations.

*Lili is about to walk out, she's holding the doorknob when Jennie spoke*

Jennie: Let's stop this, Lili. I want you to stop courting me.

Lili was startled after hearing those. Her body got frozen and the only words that came out to her mouth

"Are you kidding me"?
