TYLER

"Am I already late?" Keya asked as she walks towards me and Sky.

"No, you're just right on time." I answered and let her carry Sky since he is currently reaching for her.

"Hey squishy!" She greeted Sky using her tiny little voice.

"Daddy and I was running on the ice mom, can we do it together?" Sky asks and she beamed at me so I nodded.

"He loves it."

"Where's your mom?"

"She took off right after my practice."

"How have you been handling how hyper this kid?" She asks smiling.

"Oh it was nothing!" I replied. Because I don't care how hyper my son is, in fact I want to spend the rest of my days with him just to cover up those days that I have missed.

"Sorry, I took so long." She said. "My meeting just took about two hours but Thomas insisted on grabbing lunch together."

"Thomas?" I repeated.

She nodded. "I don't know if you still remember him but--"

"Yeah!" I immediately said. "I still do remember him."

It was the same guy who used to drive him from school, carried her groceries inside the house before which led us into fighting because I was an asshole for accusing her. I felt weird and kind of upset.

But the thought of Keya dating that guy grinds my gear, I know that I should not feel possessive of her since we are not a thing, we just happen to have a baby together. And above anything else, we're not a couple-- not even once. But I don't know why I suddenly felt...

Jealous.

"Are you guys done?" She asks.

"Not yet." I replied. "The organization is having a family dinner, can you guys stick around?"

She was kind of a bit hesitant but I thank God that my son is here and insisted that they should.

"Let's stay please? I want to play with Victor." Sky says pointing at the arena's main entrance to the rink.

"Oh! So you made new friends!" Keya commented then looked at me. "Who's Victor?"

I smiled. "It's the team's mascot. So can you stick for dinner?"

She slowly nod.

"I guess I will, wouldn't it be weird?" She asks as we slowly walk heading back to the rink again where all of the families are currently bonding.

I snorted. "And why would you think so?"

She shrugged. "I don't bloody know! Does anyone even know you already have a kid?"

"Everyone was actually surprised when I showed up earlier carrying a child who really looks like me." I said telling her what happened earlier this morning.

Some of my teammates knew that I knocked up someone, but Jamie and Alex are the only people on my team who knew the whole story between me and Keya. And so that was why when I came here this morning, announcing and introduced my son to everyone, they were all shocked.

For sure, the media have been probably going crazy right now. The media team and PR are constantly taking photos of me and Sky earlier at the rink having some fun. They have also interviewed me and Sky for a bit asking about how much we are currently having fun during the team family day.

"Sky is loving the camera if you must know." I added remembering how my son winks at the camera everytime he catches it filming him.

"Really?" Keya replied completely amazed and find the news funny. "He's probably starting to use his charm."

Instead of going straight to the rink, we head to the locker rooms first to put on our skates. I asked Keya to change but she declined and said that she'll just watch us playing inside the rink.

As I put on my skates and Keya puts one on Sky, few of our media people came in to document the whole thing. I saw Keya felt uncomfortable so I immediately said sorry. I can really see that she is not used to this, and I dragged her into the public without her proper consent.

"You know we can ask them to stop from filming if you're not comfortable with it." I said.

"It's fine. It's part of your job, and for sure they won't focus on me that much right?" She said.

"I'll ask them." I assured her.

And so I did, one thing about our media team? They respect privacy, especially when it comes to the members of the player's family. I know we're not some kind of a huge hollywood celebrity to overreact about it but just for precautions, and just for the sake of being safe since there are literally crazy fans everywhere that will make things unpredictable.

KEYA

I am not gonna lie, I'm way too shy to move around here. I never though that Tyler's life is also surrounded by way too many cameras. I thought it was just only fans but no, I am completely wrong.

However, Tyler was understanding enough to ask the cameramen from not focusing on me that much. It makes me very uncomfortable to be honest. But instead of thinking how uncomfortable the whole situation I am in, I focused myself on watching my son and Tyler playing on the rink.

I brought my phone out to take photos and videos of the two of them. Sky is still practicing how to skate and he is getting better as Tyler teaches him to balance out. My son is totally having fun, and it just made my eyes water at the sight of it. Letting him meet his father was a great decision I have made, I want him to be happy and I will do anything just for him even if it means me sacrificing my own life.

"Sky seems to love the rink, does he?" I heard someone says and Jamie appeared on my side looking at Tyler and my son.

I chuckled. "Surprisingly, he does."

Jamie smiled and gave me a quick hug. "Nice to see you again Keya!"

"Likewise." I replied. "Have you said your hi to Sky already?"

Jamie nodded. "I did, but only for few seconds. Tyler doesn't even want to let me hold him even just for five seconds."

I laughed. "A bit possessive, doesn't he?"

"I know, it's crazy! And overreacting!" Jamie said looking at them at the rink skating their way to our direction.

"Are you guys talking about me?" Tyler shouted.

"No, we're talking about my godson." Jamie shouted back. "Don't feel too special."

"Dad! It's Victor!" My son shouted pointing at the mascot currently entertaining some kids few yards away from me and Jamie. "Can we say hi again?"

"Sure." Tyler says and went out of the rink and approached the said mascot. "Let's get you a quick photo."

"I'll take it." I offered and immediately positioned to take a photo of them.

"Okay, look at momma!" Tyler says and I just felt an overwhelming feeling I can't bloody describe when I heard him say momma. Gosh!

"One... Two... Three... Say cheese!"

"Cheese!" The two of them said in unison and I clicked a couple of times to capture the moment.

"You go there Keya and let me take a photo of you three." Jamie inserted grabbing my phone.

"Use mine too!" Tyler shouted tossing his phone to Jamie and took a photo of us.

Tyler laced his hands on my waist pulling me close to him and I couldn't help but feel uneasy. Everytime I am close to him, I always get bothered! And I completely know why, and that is because even after all these years and after all the negative things we've been through... I am still kind of attracted to him. And it is a massive bad news!!

I don't want to be with him. Letting him and my son meet and have a strong relationship together as father and son is the only thing that should be done. And nothing else!
