25 : Failed Introduction
08:05, 27 June 2024The food started to be passed around the table in a counter clockwise direction. Logan handed it to me and I handed it to my brother, and... you know what I mean. The food smelled amazing which it always is because when my brother hires a chief he hires a chief.
"Here you are, darling." Logan said quietly and handed me the next dish.
I smiled. "Thank you." I took it and put some on my plate then passed it on. That continued until I ended with the plate I started with and everyone was ready to actually start eating.
"So." My brother began, I looked at him and I'm sure everyone else did. "When and where did you two meet?"
I put my fork back down. "Um... Well it was two years ago.." I smiled slightly at the memory. "..and I sort of forgot my phone in the cafe down the street from my apartment." I looked at Logan and we smiled at each other. "Logan brought it to me before I could get away and we became friends..." I looked back at my brother. "And then he asked to date me and..." I shrugged with a blushed smile. "You know."
"Awe." Thor gushed, everyone looked at him. He cleared his throat in embarrassment. "Sorry."
I didn't see it but Logan was giving Thor a look that made Thor smile innocently.
"When did you start dating?" Tony sipped his glass of alcohol.
I got a little uneasy with the alcohol since usually when Tony drinks it means something is wrong. "Um..." I felt Logans hand gently grabbed mine under the table. I relaxed and held his hand. "Before Ultron so...."
{Three-}
"A little over three months." Logan said, I looked at him and smiled. He smiled back softly.
"And I've just met you." Tony scoffed.
Other than Tony, Thor and Natasha seemed to be most invested in our history. I turned to him. "Well... I just wanted to know him more before introducing you."
Tony hummed and sipped his drink. "Last time that happened-."
"Brother." I stopped him, he raised a brow. "I'm no longer a child."
Tony flicked his brows up and looked away. "Right. You're just an adult and didn't contact me for weeks."
I scoffed. "Oh. Because you do such a good job at making sure I know your alright after you risk you life." Logan rubbed his thumb on the back of my hand which helped calm me. I sighed softly. "At least now you know how I feel when I spend days and nights not knowing if your alive or not." I pushed around the food on my plate.
Tony tipped his glass back and drank it all in one go. "Well this is fun as always." He said sarcastically. "We seem to have this recurring conversation each time we talk." He smiled annoyed.
"Maybe if you would involve me in your life more we would have moved past this." I said under my breath, but I know everyone heard me.
Tony twisted his empty glass around on the table. "Weren't you the one who wanted a life out of the Stark spotlight." He questioned, I frowned.
{He doesn't mean it, Elisa. He's just a little intoxicated.} Scream tried to reassure me, but I know my brother has a high tolerance for alcohol.
"Darling." Logan said. I looked at him. "Could you show me to the bathroom."
I know what he was doing. I nodded. "Yea." I looked over the table of awkwardly sitting people. "Excuse us." I stood up and it just dawned on me. We spoke about Ultron but my brain didn't think to ask where the only person to care for me during that time is. "Thor?"
Thors head perked up. "Yes, Lady Stark."
I smiled softly. "You can just call me Elisa." He nodded. "Where's your brother."
Thors eyes widened slightly and glanced at Logan. "He is in his room I believe."
"Oh." I looked at the table of food. "Did he eat?"
Tony scoffed. "Why do you care if Reindeer has eaten?"
I slightly glared at him. "Why not?"
Tony stood up with his empty glass. "You barely know him."
"Yet in the short time I have I can say I have a better relationship with him then with you." I was getting tired of my brother. This always happens when we get together. Maybe he is slightly buzzed which means my arrival made him drink more. It's all my fault.
Logan pulled me gently away. "Darling-."
"Is it me?" My tone changed, Tony raised a brow. "Am I a burden to you because every time we get together you have a drink in your hand."
Tony went to talk but Logan pulled me away. "Darling. Come on." He said softly then looked at everyone. "Excuse us." He lead me away and once out of view he trapped me against the wall and cupped my cheek gently. "Darling. Are you alright."
I sighed. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought you." I wrapped my arms around him and buried my face in his chest. "I wish I had a relationship like you and your brother."
Logan kissed my head and held me close. "There are a lot of factors in one's life to turn to drinking. Your brother has more than most and is most likely stressed from it all."
I know my brother is stressed with the Avengers work and getting Stark Industries at a young and sudden age. "No one asked him to handle all that stress alone. It didn't help that I was pushed into him also. I'm nothing but a burden with all my prob-."
"Stop it, darling." Logan said sternly. "You are perfect how you are."
I wasn't sure if I believed him or not. Other than Logan I seem to be a burden to all. "You said you needed the restroom." I moved out of his embrace and took his hand. "Come on." I lead him to the restroom which I didn't actually know the direction to. "I believe it's this way."
"Darling." Logan slowed down. I looked at him and he pointed to a doorway with a bathroom sign on it. "I believe it's here." He smiled softly.
I smiled shyly. "Yep. Is it alright if I head back."
Logan looked at me worriedly. "Are you sure?"
I nodded. "I want to bring some food to someone."
Logan's brows furrowed. "Who? Loki?" I nodded sheepishly. Logan seemed surprised. "Why?"
I shrugged. "I want to say hello as well. I... I know him sort of. Lokis not as bad as a few years ago." I shrugged. I didn't know Loki when he was the conqueror but the week I was with him, her, they didn't seem bad.
Logan pulled me close and kissed my forehead. "Alright. I'll meet you back at the dining table."
I nodded. "Thank you." Logan smiled softly and watched me as I headed back to the dining room. Everyone stopped talking as I entered. "I only came to get a plate and bring it to Loki."
"I can bring it to him, Lad- Elisa." Thor stood up.
I waved him off. "I would like to see how he is doing." I grabbed a plate from an empty seat and started to look at all the food. "What does he like?"
"My brother likes all food." Thor said, I nodded.
"Elisa. We need to talk about him-."
"Anthony." I snapped, Tony was slightly shocked. "If you truly wanted to talk you would have made this a private dinner." I grabbed his refilled glass out of his hands. "You want to have a relationship with me yet you won't change instead of turning to your alcohol like always!"
Logan gently took the glass away and placed it down on the table. "I believe we should call it a night. It was a lovely meal."
(When did he get back?)
My brother sat down and rubbed his head. I looked at Logan, wondering how he got here so fast. "I'm sorry."
Logan smiled at my softly. "It's alright."
I looked at the Avengers. "I'm sorry that you all had to see the complications of my brother and my relationship... again." I looked back at Tony. "When you change like you change for Pepper, who I still haven't met by the way, contact me." I looked at Logan. "Let's go."
Logan gently lead me to the doorway as my emotions started to lose control and tears picked up. "It's alright, darling." He said softly and kissed my head softly.
"I just want to go home."
"Alright."
