Running Scared Part 2
22:09, 18 February 2014"Lock it! Lock it!" Scott yelled at Stiles.
"Does it look like I have a key?!" Stiles replied.
I dont know why but for some reason I felt like I couldn't move. It was like I was paralized with fear. I mean who wouldn't be right? Derek just got murdered not even five feet away from me, there was an alpha outside ready to kill us without a second look...
I tried catching my breath but I felt like i was having a panic attack or something.
"hey, hey Savannah are you okay?" I heard Stiles ask me while I looked up at him, my vision blurry. What was happening to me..
"I..I.." I tried talking but I couldn't get the words out.
"I think she's having a panic attack!" I heard Stiles say while he kneeded down next to me, holding my face in his hands. "What's happening to her?" Stiles asked Scott while I felt myself getting weaker..
Damn it, not here. Not here please.
"Oh my god.." I heard Stiles say while he looked at me, noticing that I was turning pale. "What's happening..?"
"I..I think wh..when the alpha when he pushed me.." I tried talking but Stiles shushed me. "I'm gonna be fine..I mean it's probably just a nasty little headache, it'll pass.*" I tried laughing but I couldn't because my head stung too much.
This was like getting a paper cut then someone pouring lemon juice in it. It hurts but it'll pass.
"Are you sure..?" Stiles asked me, holding my face and looking into my eyes for any sign of 'hurt' or whatever.
I smirked lightly before shaking my head. "Hey..i've been through worse..trust me..i deal with your pain in the ass everyday." I smiled before laughing it off.
We had more important things to worry about than me getting a little headache. I was going to be fine, we just needed to get out of here.
"We need to get this door locked so we can get her out of here." I heard Scott say when I felt Stiles suddenly tense up.
Crap, what was he thinking?
I blinked a couple of times before following Stiles gaze up towards the door. He let go of my face before looking through the window. I looked over at Scott who was looking at something outside too.
What the hell could they be looking at..?
Wait.
"No." Scott told Stiles while Stiles shrugged off Scott's hand on his shoulder.
"Yes." Stiles responded.
I slowly got up, holding my head before Stiles caught me so i wouldn't fall over. I looked at him, looking for any doubt in his eyes. "Please..please dont do this.." I tried convincing him while I stood up but he just shook his head before opening the door and running down to get the bolt cutters.
Damn it Stiles.
When Stiles scurried down the steps and bent to get the bolt cutters, he stopped suddenly. My attention was focused on the alpha that was coming up from behind his jeep. Oh my god Stiles.
Suddenly my headache went away. It was like, Stiles being in danger.. it was like it took it all away. Damn, trying to deny my feelings were obviously going to be harder than I thought. I mean.. how do you kill a feeling?
"Stiles!" I yelled while pounding on the window while Scott must have noticed the alpha too because he started following my lead.
Stiles looked at us then back at the alpha before sprinting up the steps and slamming the door shut behind him, using the bolt cutters to jam the door. When he turned around, i punched him in his arm causing him to jump.
"Ow what the hell." He asked me while he rubbed his arm.
"you could've gotten yourself killed." I yelled at him.
"I was doing it so we could keep it out a bit longer that way we could get you out of here." He defended himself.
I shook my head before looking at him. "I just have..had." I corrected myself quickly. "a little headache..It's not something to get yourself hurt over..So..don't ever do something like that again." I looked at him while I could feel my forehead getting a bit sweaty from the stress.
"why not? As long as it keeps you safe." Stiles responded.
"And if you die..? What do you think i'll feel then huh?" I yelled at him, probably looking like a crazy woman.
"Why are you getting so mad? I was trying to help." Stiles asked me, obviously not picking up what I was getting at. Damn it he was going to make me say it wasn't he..
"Because if you die, I don't think I will be able to live with myself..You dying..getting hurt..would be the worst thing ever...I dont even like to imagine the possibility of you getting hurt or worse..it's too much for me..." I said, watching as Stiles eyes sort of lighted up at my words. "so please..next time just let me have a freaking headache..It's gone anyways so..im fine.." I finished while he laughed.
I brought him into a tight hug, wrapping my arms around his neck while his went around my waist.
As crazy as it seems, we just stood there, holding each other like this was going to be the last time we ever hugged again. But who knows right? We could die tonight.? So...best not take any chances.
If I die tonight, at least it'll be with Stiles..I mean.. what better way to die than with someone you really care about right..?
Eek, I sound so morbid right now.
I slowly released myself from our hug though, remembering his exact words running through my mind..
'we both know it'll never happen'
'know it'll never happen'
'never happen'
as crazy as it seems, that was what was going through my mind for those couple of seconds. Not the deathly alpha outside but the fact that... no matter how hard I was falling for Stiles... it wouldn't happen...it was too dangerous and... it couldn't happen.
"Where'd it go..?" Scott asked Stiles and I while we went up to the window and noticed the alpha was no longer in front.
We looked around and didn't see it anywhere. Crap, where did it go?
"That's not going to hold." I stated a matter of factly while we slowly backed away from the door.
While we were backing away slowly, staring at the door like we were waiting for the alpha to burst through, that's when we heard the sound of a distant howl. Oh damn..
"Run..?" I asked them while they just nodded.
"Run." they both said while we started running down the hall and running into the open class room.
We slammed the door shut while I backed away, watching Stiles and Scott look at the teacher's desk before trying to move it towards the door to block it.
"The door's not going to keep it out." I told them while Stiles stopped, acknowledging that I was right.
"I know.." Scott breathed out before he stopped pushing the desk.
Then out of no where Stiles said, "it's your boss."
Scott and I looked at each other confused before Scott gave Stiles a confused look. "What?"
"Deaton, your boss, is the alpha." Stiles said slowly like he was letting each word sink in for Scott.
Scott just shook his head before disagreeing. "What? No, that's crazy. It cant be Deaton."
"Oh come on." Stiles groaned at Scott not accepting that he wasn't believing Deaton was the alpha that is trying to kill us. "He disappears then a couple of minutes later the Alpha shows up and tosses Derek 30 feet in the air. A coicidencce? I think not."
"It's not him." Scott said, starting to sound frustrated.
"he killed Derek.." I said softly, crossing my arms in front of my chest.
"Derek's not dead!" He yelled while Stiles and I looked at each other before looking back at Scott who looked like he had calmed down a tad. "He can't be dead..." Scott began panicing.
I sighed before giving him a look. "Blood splurted out of his mouth..Im not a doctor but I dont think that counts as a minor injury. He's dead and now we're next."
Scott didn't say anything before taking a few breaths then looking back at us. "What do we do?" He asked while I looked at Stiles. Stiles was always the guy with the plan so I was kind of eager to see what he came up with to get us out of this crap.
"We get to my jeep and we get the hell out of here." Stiles responded. "And you seriously consider quitting your job."
Scott didn't say anything before going over to the windows and trying to open one.
"They wont open, the school's climate control." Stiles said.
"Then we break it." Scott said while Stiles shook his head.
"Which will make a lot of noise and lead the damn thing straight to us." I pointed out.
"then we run really fast." Scott said before looking out the window to check for any signs of the Alpha.
We were all looking out the window when something from the corner of my eye caught my attention. Oh hell. "Stiles what's wrong with the hood of your jeep?" I asked him, looking at Stiles jeep which was our getaway plan.
I squinted, noticing the hood of Stiles jeep completely bent.
"What do you mean? Nothing's wrong." Stiles answered me.
I moved a little so they could stand where i was standing to get a good view of what I was talking about. I pointed to Stiles jeep, showing them what I was talking about.
"It's bent." Scott answered him.
"What? You mean like dented?" Stiles asked confused while trying to squint his eyes to see.
"No I mean like dented...-"
Was all I was able to say until something came crashing through the window. Stiles practically tackled me to the ground to protect me from the shattering window as we all dropped. I thanked Stiles before looking over and noticing his battery sliding across the classroom floor. I looked up and gave Stiles a look while he looked pissed.
"That's my battery.." He said while shining the flashlight in his hands before getting up slightly to go over to it but I grabbed his hand and pulled him back down after scooting over to the wall near the window.
"We have to move." He told me, looking at me like I was crazy for not running away right now.
"He can be right outside!" Scott whispered.
"He is right outside!" I whispered back before turning around to see if I could get a peak from the window to see if the Alpha was right outside the window.
Scott followed me movement, Stiles following after, while we looked out the now shattered window and noticed the Alpha wasn't there.
Damn it, where the hell was it?
"come on let's go." Stiles said while we got up and made our way to the hall.
We stood there while looking at the other ends, trying to decide on which way to go. Scott, without thinking pointing to one end saying to go that way until Stiles reached out and grabbed his shirt, pulling him back.
"No no, we need someplace without windows." Stiles said.
"We're in a school Stiles! Every room in this building has windows!" Scott exaggerated while he ran a hand through his curly hair.
"Well somewhere with less windows then." Stiles corrected himself while we just stood there until Stiles and Scott exchanged a look.
"Locker room." they both said at the same time before grabbing my hands and dragging me off towards the locker rooms.
*
When we got into the locker room, Scott had let go of my hand but Stiles was still gripping onto mine. As Scott closed the door, we moved further down towards the last row of lockers, and that's when we stopped.
"Call your dad." Scott told Stiles.
"And tell him what exactly?" Stiles looked at Scott like he was crazy. I wiggled my hand out of his grip and walked towards the end of the row, trying to see if I could see anything or anyone coming in.
"Anything. There's a gas leak, a fire, anything!" Scott proclaimed. "If the Alpha sees the parking lot full of cop cars, it'll take off."
That did seem like a logical guess. I mean, would the Alpha stay around if there were about a dozen cop cars in front of the school? But then again... that thing killed Derek like nothing... So who's to say it won't kill everyone that comes to help...
"No." I said while Scott looked at me like I was crazy. "It's too risky, there's no guarentee the Alpha would take off like that."
"If it sees the parking lot full of cop cars, it'll take off. Im sure of it." Scott tried convincing me most likely so I would convince Stiles.
"And what if it doesnt? What if it kills every cop insight?" I asked Scott while crossing my arms in front of my chest. This was too dangerous of a situation, it needed to be handled lightly because one wrong move and we could end up dead.
"yeah, including my dad." Stiles added.
"they have guns." Scott defended.
I rolled my eyes at how ridiculous he was being. He was forgetting the fact that if Stiles dad dies, it would destroy him. "Yeah and Derek had to be shot with a wolfsbane laced bullet to be slowed down even a little."
Scott stood quiet for a moment, trying to figure out what to say next to defend his plan of getting Stiles dad and every officer over here.
He was pacing before studdering, "Then we have to..we have to get out of here. We just have to make a run for it."
"There's nothing around the school for at least a mile." Stiles said.
"we'll be lucky if we can even get off the school lot before being ripped to shreads." I said looking down at my shoes.
This was not going to end well. Stiles didn't have a plan, Scott was trying to backup a plan that was out of the question. This wasn't going to end well...
"well..What about Derek's car?" Scott finally offered while Stiles and I exchanged a look.
I shook my head. "That could work."
"we just have to go outside and get the keys off of his body, ugh.." Stiles shivered while pausing. "then we take his car."
"and him." Scott added.
Ugh Scott? Even after Derek's obviously dead, he's still trying to like communicate with him or whatever. Derek was dead, there was nothing we could do about it so it didnt make sense to take his body.
But I guess since they're both werewolves it made sense..
Stiles point of view:
"Okay fine whatever." I rolled my eyes at Scott wanting to take Derek's body with us, which was not only weird and creepy but it would slow us down in a sense. As i reached for the door handle, Savannah grabbed my hand, stopping me.
I looked at her weird before asking her what she was doing.
"shh.." She shushed me. "Do you hear that? I thought I heard something.."
Scott looked towards the door with this face before shaking his head. "yeah, I hear it.."
"Well what is it?!" I whispered/yelled at him while he just ignored me before slowly backing away from the the door.
"Hide." Was all Scott told me and Savannah before I looked at him weird.
"What?" I asked him while he grabbed me by the shirt and going back to the lockers.
"Hide!" He whispered/yelled at me before looking for an open locker and climbing in.
When i opened a locker, my first instinct was to grab Savannah's hand and pull her in with me before Scott could pull her in with him or she would go in by herself. She looked at me with wide eyes while I closed the locker door and stood there.
We were so close I could feel her breathing against my lips. I closed my eyes after trying to look down at my feet but all I saw was her...ummm..her 'twins' since her jacket wasn't zippered all the way up anymore.
Then all of a sudden it started happening.
Oh no.
Please dont, not here. Anywhere but here. Please no.
I slowly opened my eyes while she gave me this look. Her face was blushing a little while I tried to look anywhere else but it was either stand there with my eyes closed or looking at her directly in the eyes or at her well..clevage.
"Your phone is poking me..." She whispered while I just closed my eyes.
"Yeah..my phone..Really should've put that in my back pocket." I said while she shushed me.
We stayed quiet while a shadow passed in front of the lockers. We stood quiet when all of a sudden we heard the locker Scott was in being open, followed by his scream. Savannah pushed open the locker door we were behind, falling out and bumping into the janitor.
Thank god. I thought it was the Alpha for a second.
The janitor kept on screaming a little before yelling at the three of us.
"Shh, be quiet!" I whispered to him, trying not to lead the Alpha right to us.
"Me be quiet?! What the hell are the three of you doing here?! Besides trying to give me a heart attack!?" He yelled at us before pushing us towards the door.
"Okay just listen for a second." I tried saying but he continued shoving us out the door.
"Get the hell out of here! You three shouldn't even be in school at this hour!" He yelled.
I sighed before trying to get through to the janitor. "Just one second to explain please." I tried saying but the janitor wasn't hearing it. The janitor yelled at us to leave before being yanked back into the locker room, the door slamming behind him.
Then that's when we heard the familar growling of the Alpha.
The janitor was shoved against the locker room door, with his blood splatering on the window while he screamed out in obvious pain and horror.
Scott tried jiggling the handle to get it open while Savannah banged on the glass but the door wouldn't open. It was stuck. Scott was ready to break down the door but I grabbed both of their hands and stopped them, dragging them down the hall.
"Come on, it's too late." I yelled while Savannah had this distraught look on her face before grabbing onto my hand tighter, running faster so she wouldn't get left behind or trip and fall, making both of us go down in the process.
When we reached the end of the hall, we took a quick look back. That is when the locker room door busted off with the janitor lying on top of it. Scott took one small step towards the janitor, getting ready to go and help him I think, before he was dragged back inside the locker room by what we can assume was the Alpha.
"Come on, come on!" I yelled at Scott and Savannah before we scurried off to try and find a way out of this death trap that we were currently in.
Right now we were all running scared.
With no guarentee if we were going to live to see tomorrow.
*
Savannah Point of View:
We kept turning down different hallways, around every corner, in hopes of not running into the Alpha which we assumed was still taking care of the janitor...
Finally though after what seemed like running for hours, thank god I didn't wear heels, we saw an exit at the end of one hallway. We raced over to it and tried to open it but it wouldn't budge.
"What the hell?" I yelled before trying to open the door but it wouldn't budge. Scott and Stiles joined in with me but the three of us couldn't get the door open. While we were trying to get the door open, it opened a little but then we heard a bang from the other side of the door. "What was that?" I asked them while Stiles and I pushe the door again while Scott managed to peak his head out from the little opening.
"The dumpster.." He breathed out while I let go of the door handle. "He pushed it in front of the door.." He continued saying while Stiles looked at him like he was crazy.
"For what?" Stiles asked, probably not thinking like he normally does considering that we were probably going to die and we were in school. Could you think of a worse place to die? I mean.. school? I would never want to perish here.
"To lock us in.." I said while I took a couple of breaths, trying to regain my breathing.
Stiles had this horrified look on his face while he turned back to the door and started pushing on the door harder, trying anything to get it to open. In one desperate attempt he slammed his body against the door, holding onto his shoulder while he kept doing the same pattern.
"Stiles stop it! It wont budge!" I said before grabbing a hold of his other shoulder that wasn't brusing already.
"Savannah's right. Even if we could get the door open, the Alpha would be here by then." Scott pointed out while Stiles just shook his head. I noticed him getting more and more figgity.
"Im not dying here! Im not dying at school!" Stiles yelled while he paced back and forth.
After Stiles let us know that he didnt want to die at school, we found our way towards the end of the hall and walking quietly through the school, trying to not bring attention to ourselves. After all, the Alpha was still out there, literally.
Stiles kept repeating how he didn't want to die and frankly it was getting distracting and beginning to worry me. "Oh my god I cant believe im dying in school. I dont want to die at school!" Stiles said one last time while I let out an annoyed sigh.
I turned to Stiles, bringing my hand to make contact with his face while he held his cheek.
Looking at me with wide eyes while he held his cheek. Stiles asked me, "What did you do that for?"
I rolled my eyes before turning back to face ahead of us. "You're being completely and utterly idiotic. We're going to be fine okay? We're going to get out of this ALIVE, and you're going to make first line, hopefully.." I began saying while I watched Stiles eyes light up at what I said next. "And when you do make first line, im going to be right there in the stands cheering you on. I'll be in the stands like I always am..Im not going to be sitting in my seat at your funeral..."
Stiles didn't say anything, instead he just nodded his head at me. He gave me a quiet thanks while I knew that was what he needed to hear. As we kept walking, Stiles asked Scott what the Alpha wanted.
"What does it even want? Why is it doing this?" Stiles asked as his eyes lingered to Scott.
"Me.." Scott said while he looked like he was about to pass out. "Derek says that it's stronger with a pack."
"Oh, great. A psycotic werewolf that's into team work.? That's freaking beautiful." Stiles said sarcastically while I nudged his side. This wasn't the time or place for any of us to start being pissed at each other. We needed to stay together.
While they continued talking about how the Alpha wanted Scott in his pack, I was looking all around us for something we could at least use to defend ourselves or at least a way out. Then that's when I got the feeling we were being watched..
I turned my head towards the window and noticed something on top of the school in the distance. I felt my breath get caught in my throat while I tapped Stiles shoulder. He turned his head to me, noticing the look on my face.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
I tried keeping a straight look on my face before nodding towards where the figure was standing on the roof of the school. There was no denying what it was, I already knew what it was.
The Alpha.
"What the hell is it doing..?" Stiles asked before the Alpha started running along the roof of the building.
Oh crap.
"Now would be a good time to run!" Stiles yelled, grabbing both of our arms while we started making a run for it.
While we were running, a huge crash was heard from behind us, followed by a bunch of glass shattering and hitting the floor.
as if Stiles read our minds, he said, "Don't look back! Keep running!"
I kept running, keeping my eyes ahead of me because I knew if they wandered then I would surely be met with the ground. I felt my heartbeat getting faster and louder while I tried to catch my breath. All we needed was me passing out from a heart attack or something. When we turned the corner, we ran past the stairway that lead to the basement.
Stiles and Scott immediantly stopped and trailed back to open the door and go down the stairway. Stiles grabbed my hand, pulling me through the doorway while Scott shut the door. We practically jumped down the stairs before trying to find our way through the basement.
As we manuvered our way through the basement, we ended up in what looked like another room with lockers in it. There were no windows, but it was pretty dark in here. Stiles and Scott made their way through to hide behind a set of lockers but when I tried to follow them, I tripped over a random box of crap.
I winced in pain due to the fact that I hit my face on the stupid box of crap. I held my face before looking up, getting ready to run to where Scott and Stiles were but that's when i was met face to face with The Alpha.
I stood quiet, before hearing Scott and Stiles mumble something. I closed my eyes while the Alpha let out a loud growl.
Stiles Point of View:
Scott and I stood there, trying to catch our breath. I turned around to ask Savannah if she was okay but when i turned, she wasn't there. As I was turning to Scott to ask where she was, that's when we heard the loud familiar growl of the Alpha erupt in the room followed by the sound of things being tossed against the wall and other lockers.
You could hear things breaking and growling.
Oh my god..
"Savannah.." I breathed out before taking a step to go and help her but Scott grabbed my arm, pulling me back.
"You can't go..It's too dangerous." Scott warned me.
I looked at him in disbelief. Was he really telling me not to go help Savannah?
"I don't care.. we have to do something before that thing kills her if it hasn't already." I warned Scott.
"Like what?" Scott asked before he was drowned out by the sound of another loud growl and then a sudden scream. Savannah's scream.
"Kill it, hurt it, put mental anguish on it.! Anything!" I said before we heard another loud growl and a huge bang. My eyes got wide once we heard a wimper. I was just about to go and find Savannah before that thing finished her off but that's when I heard Savannah's voice.
She was alive.
"Savannah!" I yellled for her.
"Im fine..I stabbed it with the broom." She yelled back.
"You stabbed it with the broom?" Scott asked.
"It was harder than it sounds..Ahh.." She coughed before we heard the growl of the Alpha again. "Guys..a little help would be nice."
I was about to yell something but that's when I got an idea. I pulled my keys out of my pocket and jingling them around so they could make more noise.
"What are you doing?" Scott whispered before I shushed him and tossed my keys into the boiler room.
Just like I hoped, the Alpha let out a small growl before running into the closet and when it did, I slammed the door shut. I pressed all my weight to it before telling Scott to push the desk in front of it.
"Hurry! The desk!" I yelled at him. Scott pushed the desk in front of the door while I nodded at him. "I'm going to go find Savannah. You going to be okay?" I asked Scott.
"I'll be fine, just go and make sure she's okay." Scott told me while I nodded again before taking off to go find her.
*
I must have looked all around the basement but I couldn't find Savannah anywhere. Where the hell was she? I made my way over to the staircase we ran down when we were running away from the Alpha but I stopped when I noticed some liquid on the ground. I walked over to it slowly before noticing it was blood.
Oh my god
"Savannah?" I called out for her again but I didn't get an answer.
"Savannah?"
"Savannah where are you?"
Still nothing.
Just right when i was going to give up and go back to Scott to ask for his help, that's when i heard the sounds of things falling over and footsteps. What the hell..?
I squinted my eyes and noticed a figure stumbling towards me holding their side.
"Savannah!" I yelled before she smiled and waved to me weakly.
I ran over to her with her running half way to meet me. Once we reached a close enough distance, she jumped and wrapped her arms around me. I wrapped my arms around her waist tightly almost immediantly, not wanting to let her go.
In this moment, holding her in my arms, I knew one thing more than anything else in the whole world.
I was truly, madly, deeply, and crazy in love with the girl I was holding in my arms.
Savannah wasn't just some girl that you see walking down the halls at school and you say 'oh she's cute'. No, she was the type of girl that you have to do a double take for. She's the type of girl that you can just sit down with and talk for ages but never get bored and never run out of anything to talk about. Savannah, she's...she's special. She's indpendent and strong and beautiful and...
She's everything I want to be.
I know that she has little fears and insecurities too but she hides it so well. The way she carries herself with class and confidence is so assuring that you'd never have to worry about her. She's such an amazing person and somewhere between here and there, I fell for her. I think falling for her was inevitable.
You know there's this saying that talks about how love is blind because you dont know who, when, and where you'll fall in love. And it's true. Never would I have thought that i would meet.. the girl who i'm completely in love with at school.
I remember everything about the day that she first came into my life. I was sitting there at my desk during third period freshmen year. My mind wasn't paying attention to anything that the the teacher was saying and I ended up staring out the window for what seemed like ages. Everyone around me was talking, laughing, and just moving all around me.
Then suddenly, there she was. Savannah walked into the room and it was like my whole world just stopped spinning. From the moment she walked into my life, she had this glow about her. I remember sitting there, staring at her and praying she didn't think I was weird. And when she looked over at me, she gave me a smile that I swear could light up the whole town. When she walked over to the empty seat next to me and started talking to me about random things like Star Wars, I knew that I was going to fall for her. It was that moment when she first said 'hello' that I started falling for her.
And you know what?
I dont' think I ever stopped. Once you start falling for someone, you don't really ever stop. Everything they do or say will make you fall for them a little bit every more everyday.
"You're okay..You're okay.." I whispered to her, holding her as tight and close as I could, almost like I was afraid she would slip through my fingertips if I even let up just a little. "It's okay..you're safe..I'll keep you safe.." I whispered into her hair, burrying my face in the crook of her neck before placing a kiss on the top of her head.
Savannah let out a sigh before pulling away slightly, her arms still wrapped tightly around my neck. "I was so scared.."
"It's understandable..with the Alpha trying to kill us and almost you.." I mumbled while she shook her head at me.
She shook her head before giving me this look that I really couldn't describe. "I wasn't scared for me..I was scared for you..." She whispered to me, surprising me a little bit.
"What..?" I studdered. "Why?"
"If something happened to you, I think I would literally go insane.." Savannah smiled at me lightly. "I don't know what I would do without you..i don't want you going anywhere.."
I couldn't help but smile a bit before revealing that...I felt the same exact way.
"Well it's going to take a lot more than some Alpha to get rid of me..So looks like you're stuck with me..." I let out a small laugh while she smiled at me.
"Stiles, I l-" was all she was able to say until we heard a loud crash
We looked all around us, hearing movement from...
above us?
Then suddenly Scott came running towards us before pointing towards the roof. "It's in the ceiling." He breahted out while we all looked at each other before running back up the stairs. When we got into the hall, we started making a run down the hall.
Unfortunately for us, Savannah ended up falling and hurting her ankle. Scott and I helped her up but that's when we heard the noise coming from the ceiling again.
"We need to split up." Savannah told Scott and I but I looked at her like she was crazy.
"No that's crazy. We stick together." Scott told her while she shook her head.
"It can't chase all three of us at the same time so..whoever gets to the car first...go get help or call someone.." She told us before walking off.
"No way. You said you hurt your ankle and what happens if you get caught?" I asked her.
"I'm going to be fine. Trust me." Savannah told me.
"What if-" I tried counter aruging but she stopped me by putting a finger on my lips, silencing me.
"trust me.." She said, looking into my eyes while I just shook my head.
"always.." I whispered back to her before letting her back away a little.
Scott looked at her and sighed before telling her to be careful. "Make sure you keep your phones close. If anything happens; yell, scream, do anything and we'll come."
Savannah shook her head before running off in the opposite direction. This was a huge mistake and I had a horrible feeling in my stomach that something was going to go wrong but... I trusted Savannah so if... she thought this was best then I will trust her word and pray that she knows what she's doing.
She did raise a good point. The Alpha cant chase all three of us at the same time so it would either go after her.. or Scott and I. I praid that it goes after me and Scott.. I didnt want to imagine what would happen if something happened to Savannah.
