Chapter 15

One thing you should have learned is to never keep secrets from Calvin Sullivan.

In all honesty you hadn't been intentionally keeping it. Neither of you have had a proper chance to talk about what exactly there is between you. So Calvin walking in on you was not what you'd planned.

~Flashback~

"Don't tease me."

You hum at the order, pulling Lex in closer. Everything about this moment feels like heaven, or as close to it as you can get on earth. Lex's hands know exactly what they're doing. You feel his finger glide under your shirt, and you arch into him almost instinctively.

"Hey Lex, I was wondering if you-"

The voice of your best friend rings in your ears, and you pull back the same time Lex does. You're both a bit thrown off. So is Calvin. Just from the dumbfounded look on his face. He has a load of files in his hands, no doubt here on some official business. You do your best to straighten your clothing when Lex gives you space. He clears his throat, trying to save face. But it's a little impossible after that.

~Flashback End~

Here lies your new predicament. After ushering Clavin out, you sent Lex a look in hopes that you'll have time to chat later.

"I can't believe this! I have so many questions. When did this happen? How long have you both been dating? Why didn't you tell me!!"

You finally make it out of the mansion, shoulders dropping in defeat.

This would be a long and tiring afternoon.

Oh joy.

"This whole time you've been sneaking around with him. I mean I get why you would keep it a secret. But I'm your best friend!!"

You know there is very little that can stop his rant.

Maybe it's just second nature for you

"I'm sorry Calvin."

He notices the guilt on your face, and it seems to get him to settle down.

Calvin has finally stopped his frantic paces.

He takes a seat at the desk.

"I guess I should have figured it out. Since his accident things have been different between you two. Maybe it was always there and I never noticed. Regardless, I'm happy that you're happy (Y/N). I think out of all of us, you deserve it the most."

It's nice to hear him say that.

"Thank you."

He grins.

"Now that we've gotten past that, I guess I should have asked for an interview with the new Mrs. Luthor." Your cheeks color.

"W-What are you talking about!!"

"Come on, you really think he's going to let a catch like you run away. I can already hear the wedding bells."

"C-Calvin, stop getting ahead of yourself."

"I'm being realistic. He is an older guy."

He wiggles his eyebrows and your face flushes.

Maybe it was good he hadn't found out earlier.
