"All right boys, drop in. round 'em up. You know the deal with subject A-9. Three people on her at all times." Janson ordered. As the soldiers dropped from the helicopters, they loaded their guns and began fire.

"Go! Go!" Finn shouted as he and Mary led a group away from the gun fire. A shot hit Finn in the back causing him to fall on the ground, his body shaking from the electrical currents.

"Finn!" Mary shouted, kneeling on the ground beside him.

"Don't move!" A soldier threatened.

"Stop!" she pleaded.

"Where's Thomas?" Frypan asked, as him, Minho, Newt and Athena where trying to hide from the chaos.

"Harriet! Ammo!" Vince shouted.

"Vince! Harriet!" Minho shouted as the group ran over to them.

Athena grabbed Newt's hand quickly before he ran off. "I'm going to look for Thomas," she said.

With a nod of Newt's head he pulled her into a short meaning full kiss, and quickly ran after Minho and Fry. Athena running back the way she came.

"How can we help?" Fry asked as they made it to the duo.

"You need to cover us!" Harriet shouted.

"Ammo!" Vince commanded. "Hey! Do you know how to use this thing?" he questioned Minho as he gave him his rifle. Minho nodded his head and loaded the gun, "Cover me! This fifty's our only chance!" Vince shouted as Newt and Fry were passed other guns.

As Athena ran through the chaos she looked to see Teresa coming down the hill, and a soldier escorting her. Athena quickly connected the dots and rushed over to the girl.

Seeing her coming towards them the soldier fired at the girl, who dodged and quickly retaliated by pulling out her own gun, and with no hesitation shot him in the head, with perfect aim. The man fell to the ground and Teresa looked between the two, Athena continued to walk towards her.

"You just killed him." Teresa shouted at her.

Getting to her Athena grabbed her jacket and held her up against the rock behind her, Teresa trying to fight her off, but Athena didn't shift.

"What did you do?" Athena asked lowly. Teresa didn't answer her and just continued to fight. "What did you do!" Athena shouted, punching Teresa in the face and letting her fall to the ground.

"I did what I had to do!" Teresa finally answered.

"And what was that." Athena asked, walking forwards as Teresa tried to crawl away.

"You wouldn't understand!"

"Try me." Athena said grabbing Teresa's hair and dragging her to stand up.

"Let her go!" A soldier commanded from the side of them.

In response Athena dragged Teresa in front of her and held the gun at her head, "like i just said. Try me." Athena threatened all innocence had left her voice.

"You don't want to do this." The soldier said walking closer.

"Oh but I really do." She counted, as Teresa continued to squirm as blood ran from her nose and down her face.

Taken by surprise, Athena was struck twice from behind, by two soldiers who had snuck up on her, as Teresa got out the grip, the soldier in front of her shot her for the third time. Falling to the ground her body shook violently on the ground, Athena crying out in pain.

"We got her." the man informed the walkie talkie, "Round them up."

"Let's go! Let's go!" A soldier said dragging Vince to where the adults were.

The group watched all lined up on their knees as Sonya got dragged to the end of the line.

"Where's Athena." Newt muttered looking round.

His question was quickly answered when three soldiers carried an unmoving body. Walking up to the groups of people they dropped the body to reveal an unconscious Athena.

"Athena!" Minho, Fry, Newt and Aris shouted.

"Shut the hell up!" One of the soldiers shouted, as the three stood guard of her. The soldiers started to scan the teens.

"How many did we get?" Janson asked, walking up to a man.

"All of them, give or take." the man answered.

"Give or take what?" Janson asked, looking at the group.

"Well they lost a few."

Janson turned his head to see an unmoving Athena on the ground. "So you got her. Give you a good fight."

"More subject A-16 then us." The soldier replied.

"Good. Where's Thomas?" Janson continued.

"Right here."

Everyone's heads turned to see Thomas seeing him surrendering himself. "Thomas." Janson greeted as Thomas was escorted to him.

Grabbing his shoulder with one hand, he punched Thomas in the gut with the other. "Get in line." he said, shoving him towards the others.

"Okay. Bring her in." Janson ordered.

"Why didn't you run." Minho asked.

"I'm tired of running." Thomas breathed out.

With a groan Athena started to wake up, trying to get up she was met with a kick to the stomach, causing the Gladers to shout at the man. "Leave her alone!" Newt shouted standing up.

A soldier stood in front of him and held his gun to Newt's chest, "Sit your ass down." he threatened, and Newt reluctantly complied.

As he sat down a burge flew over the site, and landed beside the group, the door opened to reveal four soldiers walking out, Ava Paige walking behind them in full white.

"Is this all of them?" she asked sternly.

"Most of them." Janson replied, "It'll be enough."

"Start loading them in."

"Okay, you heard her, let's go!" Janson shouted.

Shoved by a guard Thomas was forced to be stood. "Hello, Thomas." Ava greeted.

"I'm glad you're safe." Ava said as Teresa came and stood beside her and Janson. "Who did that to you dear?" She asked referring to the blood on her face.

"Athena." Teresa mumbled.

Causing Fry, Newt, Minho and Aris to chuckle, as they stood up beside Thomas. "What the hell?" Fry asked. "Teresa?"

"Wait, what's going on?" Newt asked.

"She's with them." Thomas replied bitterly.

"Since when?" Minho asked.

"Since fucking always." Athena shouted still on the ground, earning her a kick into her back.

"Oh, Teresa has always had an evolved appreciation for the greater good." Janson answered.

"Mierda." Athena mumbled.

"Once restored her memories, it was only a matter of time." Janson continued. "Get her up."

Two soldiers beside her pulled her up to standing, one had walked off to escorte people onto the berge.

"I'm sorry." Teresa said. "I had no choice. This is the only way. We have to find a cure."

"She's right this is all just a means to an end." Ava agreed "You used to understand that, Thomas. No matter what you think of me, I'm not a monster. I'm a doctor. I swore an oath to find a cure! No matter the cost. I just need more time."

"More blood." Mary spoke.

"Hello, Mary. Finn." she greeted the two seeing him behind her. "I'd hope we meet again. I'm sorry it had to be under these circumstances."

"I'm sorry about a lot of things too." Mary stated. "But not this. At least my conscience is clear."

"So is mine." Ava replied.

A gunshot sounded, and everyone looked to see Mary had been shot through the stomach by Janson. "Mary!" Vince and Finn shouted.

Both Desperately wanting to save their friend.

With Dr.Paige's order the soldiers started to usher people into the berge. As Thomas elbowed the guard holding him in the face, he pulled out the C4 Jorge had from earlier.

Following in suit, Athena rolled forward pulling both guards to the ground landing on their backs and picking up one of their guns and shooting them causing them to shake on the ground.

"Get back!" Thomas shouted, holding the remote to the C4 in his hand, "Everybody, stand back!"

"Hold your fire!" Janson shouted at the guards, as Athena held the gun at them and backed up to stand with Thomas.

"Let 'em go." Thomas pleaded.

"Thomas, put it down." Janson said also keeping an eye on a pissed off Athena holding a gun directed at him.

"Let 'em all go!"

"You know I can't do that!" Ava shouted.

"Thomas, please stop. Teresa pleaded.

"You can shut the fuck up!" Athena threatened.

"I made a deal with them." Teresa continued, "They promised we'd be safe. All of us."

"And I'm supposed to trust you now?" Thomas snapped back.

"It's true. It was her only condition." Ava defended.

"Shut up!" Thomas shouted.

"Everything can go back to the way it was."

"What, stuck in a maze while you just sit there like there isn't a care in the world." Athena snapped.

"Athena! Thomas, do you really want all your friends to die?"

"Listen to her, Thomas. Think about what you're doing." Janson interjected.

Minho, Newt and Frypan all walked up to Thomas and Athena, Newt discreetly wrapping his arm around her waist.

"We're with you ,Thomas." Newt confirmed, grabbing more tightly onto Athena's waist.

"No." Teresa breathed out.

"I love you." Newt whispered into Athena's ear.

"Te quiero." Athena mumbled back, as Newt kissed the top of her head.

"Don't." Ava pleaded.

"Do it, Thomas." Minho urged.

"We're ready." Fry added.

"We're not going back there." Athena said.

"Thomas?" Ava said looking at the boy.

"It's the only way." he said, holding the remote in front of him.

Before anyone could say anything a car horn sounded throughout the site.
