Chapter 64

DIGGY'S P.O.V.

*a short while later*

I got out of my car, and she was already waiting for me at the front door. Dressed down, but she looked.. perfect. Hair in a ponytail, ripped jeans and a white t-shirt, I'd never seen Y/N look so dressed down in so long. And she rocked it. 

My eyes didn't come off her as she stood there. She left from the door, indicating I should be the one to close it, and walked to the living room, her grey, black and purple living room and its huge sofas. She sat on one and I sat opposite. Just.. staring at her. Man. I can't believe I lost out on her. Here was my chance to get her back.

Y/N- We have to work this out

Diggy- *nods* Yeah

Y/N- I want this *motions between you both* to work. I want the kids to be in your life as much as possible. I want us to have good communication. I just want it to work.

Diggy- It will. I can make it work with you.

Y/N- *smiles*

Diggy- Is.. is that all you wanted to talk about?

Y/N- *taps her fingers* Um, yeah..

Diggy- *looks at you* No it isn't.

Y/N- *turns to him* Yes, it is. *walks off*

Diggy- *raises his voice a little* Y/N, how do you feel about me?

Y/N- *stops walking away* *turns around and pauses* I don't feel anything

Diggy- *raises his eyebrow* Wow, seriously?

Y/N- *nods*

Diggy- Because.. the way you couldn't play with your hair so you twitched at the hem of your shirt instead showed me as always, that you're nervous. Stumbling on your sentences and *smirks* staring at my lips... *walks towards you*

Y/N- *stops staring and looks to the floor*

Diggy- ..Just tells me that something about me stays on your mind.. and bothers you

Y/N- *looks to the ground* Nothing bothers me

Diggy- Y/N, look at me

Y/N- *looks up at him* *looks at his lips*

Diggy- *kisses you*

Y/N- *kisses him back*

Diggy- *murmurs* Did you miss me?

Y/N- *pulls away* Dan..

Diggy- I asked you something

Y/N- *sighs* Yes, alright? I did.

Diggy- *kisses you again* *backs you into the couch*

Y/N- *falls backwards onto it* *shrieks and laughs a little*

Diggy- *hovers over you*

Y/N- *looks at him*

Diggy- *leans towards you*

Y/N- *pushes him back by his chest* No.

Diggy- Huh?

Y/N- *pushes him off and gets up* *walks to the doorframe*  I'm not gonna be one of your little tests or women that you fuck for fun then leave on the curb.

Diggy- *confused Who said I wa..

Y/N- I don't care. I'm not going to let you. You can't even go a month without a fuck.

Diggy- *raises his eyebrow* A month?

Y/N- Yeah. 

Diggy- Make that two

Y/N- Um, that wasn't a bet.

Diggy- Now it is. Since you think I can't do it I'll prove it to you.

Y/N- *folds her arms* Fine. Two months without sex and I'll reconsider us..

Diggy- And what do I get in return?

Y/N- What do you mean?

Diggy- *shrugs* You can't get something then I don't at the end of it.

Y/N- The satisfaction of no sex?

Diggy- Ha ha. No. I want... three dates. And to be with you, have the family with the kid. And whatever else that leads to.

Y/N- *thinks* Huh...

Diggy- *smirks* You scared? 

Y/N- *shakes head* No, just thinking of how much lingerie I have to buy for two months to make you cave. But.. if you fail, this can't happen.

Diggy- What?

Y/N- You're not deaf, you wear glasses. You heard me

Diggy- So I get to have and be with you if I can go this long without sex?

Y/N- Exactly.

Diggy- Shit..

Y/N- If you want it badly enough, you'll make it work. *saunters to the kitchen*

Diggy- *looks at your ass* *looks down at his pants* Shit.

*three weeks later*

YOUR P.O.V.

I must say, for the player Diggy was, he was actually sticking to the agreement. Even Spin said he was serious and wanted it to happen. No women, no sex, no strings of girls.. and Malik said he hadn't seen another lady in "daddy's condo" in ages. Even all the obstacles I laid in front of him, the women at Universal were desirable. More beautiful than me, but Diggy swerved all the advances I told them to make to test him. Wow.

The more and more days that went on and the more that Diggy was taking it seriously, the more.. attracted I began to feel towards him. Wow.

Diggy- *lays on the sofa*

Kelani- *walks in with her crayons and paper* Get up

Diggy- *glances at her* *looks at the tv*

Kelani- *wails* Mommy! He's not moving!!

Y/N- *walks in* Who?

Kelani- Daniel!!

Diggy- You can't call me that. You don't know me like that, so you have to call me Diggy.

Kelani- *folds her arms*

Y/N- *smirks* Well.. Kelani, you gotta ask nicely

Kelani- *pouts and mumbles* Can I sit there please, Diggy?

Diggy- *smiles a little* Fine. *sits up*

Kelani- *climbs on the couch* *pulls out her crayons*

*a little while later*

Y/N- *sits on Diggy's lap eating popcorn*

Diggy- *watching tv*

Kelani- *draws* *pencils start to fade* Oh.. *pouts and whines to herself*

Diggy- *looks down at her on the floor* Lani.. what's up?

Kelani- My pencils aren't working..

Diggy- No need to be sad.. *slides you off him*

Y/N- *sits on the couch*

Diggy- *crouches on the floor next to Kelani* You just gotta sharpen them.

Kelani- I don't know how to

Diggy- *goes in the kitchen* *comes back with a pencil sharpener* Like this.. *sharpens a pencil*

Kelani- *gasps s a bit*

Diggy- *hands it to her* Here, like that.

Kelani- *takes it and looks at him* Thank you.

Diggy- It's no problem Kelani.

Kelani- *pauses* Lani.

Diggy- *looks at her* Huh?

Kelani- You can call me Lani now.

Diggy- *smiles a little* 

Kelani- You wanna colour?

Diggy- Sure, why not? *takes a pencil*

Y/N- *smiles at them both*

Kelani and Diggy were so... similar.The faces they'd pull, the way they'd eat and sleep.. it was crazy how alike they were even though they kinda refused to get along. Until now. It was so cute.

She was drawing with him, talking with him.. she was comfortable with his company, he seemed to appreciate it too. She was on his lap. he held her hand, they smiled and he was humouring her.. it was adorable.

Eventually, I got up to cook dinner and they watched tv. I walked in the living room with their plates around an hour later.. and they were both asleep on each other. Diggy laying on his back snoring and Kelani laying down on his chest on the couch in front of the tv. Both sleeping.. it was so cute. I had to take a picture, I'd probably never see this rare moment again.

Malik- *runs downstairs*

Y/N- *turns to him* Shh! *points to Kelani and Diggy*

Malik- Oh.. that's not gonna last.

Y/N- I know. She's testing him.

Malik- Is dinner ready?

Y/N- Yeah.. I dished for you.

Malik- Thanks mom.. *wlaks to the kitchen*

Y/N- *looks at Diggy and Kelani* *smiles and walks back in the kitchen*

*a few days later*

YOUR P.O.V.

Y/N- *tucking Kelani into bed* So.. you and Diggy are getting along..

Kelani- *smiles* Yeah.

Y/N- Is that gonna last?

Kelani- *shrugs* If he's being good

Y/N- *chuckles* And what does he have to do to prove that?

Kelani- Be nice to me, buy me stuff, be nice to you..

Y/N- Awww..

Kelani- And not do anything stupid

Y/N- Hey, watch it. You're four years old, do not say that word to anybody

Kelani- *widens her eyes and looks away* Sorry mommy

Y/N- Okay miss attitude, your sleep is really calling you.

Kelani- Is Diggy gonna be here forever?

Y/N- I hope so.. Why?

Kelani- Because I kind of like him. And you do too mommy.

Y/N- *smiles* I know.

Kelani- Why aren't you together?

Y/N- Baby, we were a long time ago.. before you were born, but.. mommy had to get her life on track before daddy could come into yours.

Kelani- Oh..

Y/N- Do you think you'll ever call Diggy, Daddy?

Kelani- *thinks* I don't know yet. He has to prove himself. Then I'll think about it

Y/N- Wow.. okay baby *kisses her head* Goodnight

Kelani- Goodnight mommy.

Y/N- *turns off the light* *leaves her room and closes the door*

Diggy- *in your bedroom* I heard that.

Y/N- *pauses and walks back* Heard what? Me walking?

Diggy- No, you and Lani. It's cute. She copies things you say

Y/N- Lord help me, she has the mind of a child double her age

Diggy- *laughs* I'll get outta your hair, I just needed a towel and an extra pillow

Y/N- How about.. you stay in here.. for the night?

Diggy- In here? You mean, your room?

Y/N- *nods*Yeah

Diggy- *looks at you* You want me to lose that bet huh?

Y/N- No, no.. you've been doing really great. You're almost halfway there. You don't have to if you d...

Diggy- No.. no, I will. I'll stay here since you really want me to.

Y/N- *smiles* *gets in bed*

DIGGY'S P.O.V.

She was already dressed for bed.. for the first time, I was so hesitant to do this. I kinda just stood there, watching her get in bed and thought, what the hell do I do? Maybe because this was innocent sleeping and I couldn't do anything. Maybe because I hadn't been in the same bed as her for four, maybe five years. Maybe because after all that time, all I wanted was to lay down with her in bed and cradle her as if her as if she were mine.. this was the closest I'd gotten so far and I wasn't gonna give up now.

I stripped off my clothes and changed into the shorts and shirt I held in my hands while she cuddled up to her pillow, ready to sleep. I got in slowly, under her soft sheets and fluffy duvet and pillows. Sheets that were full of comfort and felt like home. Like I belonged here with her. I slowly crept my hands up to her. Not her legs or ass.. just her body. I cuddled her warmly in my arms for the first time and I loved it. I loved holding her. She didn't refuse nor slide away or push my hands down, but she pushed her body back onto me, to embrace to too.

I loved this. This is where I was meant to be. Nowhere else, nobody else. Just here.
