chapter ten
03:35, 29 August 2016Michael ran out of the hotel as I got into the cab.
"Wait for a second sir!" Michael yelled at the cab driver walking over to the cab.
"Michael I'm done talking, I want a divorce."
"Jade please?"
"You can't put your kids and wife first then I don't think we should be together any More."
"Jade but?"
"Drive please sir," I said to the guy as he drove off.
"Where to mam?"
"Airport please."
He silently drove as tears fell out of my eyes, I was going to divorce the love of my life.
He pulled up at the airport, and I handed him a hundred dollar bill.
"Keep the change," I said to him getting out of th cab, and going in.
"I would like to buy a ticket to California please," I told the lady selling tickets.
"Here you go, that would be ten minutes to wait," she told me.
I sat down on one of the chairs, and waited.
"Where are you headed to?" A man asked me he looked oddly familiar.
"California, and you?" I asked him.
"Do you remember me jade?" He asked.
"You look familiar."
"It's me Tyler, I can see that your pregnant, and in pictures with Michael you two are married."
"Yeah, I have another child now, he is now four months old," I said about to cry.
"Are you okay?" He asked me.
"Flight for california," said a lady.
"That's me."
"You wanna sit together?" He asked.
"Okay," I said as we walked in, and got on the plane sitting next to each other.
"So what's wrong jade?"
"I asked Michael for a divorce, I'm getting Prince from Janet and well I haven't thought about where I would stay."
"Why are you getting a divorce? And you could stay at my place till you find your own."
"Michael needs to retire and I don't feel like he's putting us first, and I couldn't impose."
"It wouldn't be an imposition."
"Thank you," I sighed.
