𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐄 | "𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐞."- ༜ -

- Haymitch watched from the district 12 floor how his daughter was fighting for her life, next to him was Mags and Laine. Everyone on the room was quiet not wanting to say something that might upset him. watching how she suddenly vanished and the cannon sounded, declaring her dead.

Angrily he stood up from his place on the couch and throw his licor to the tv standing on the wall provoking that the glass bootle turned to pieces.

He knew that all panem watched how his daughter died, she was gone, finnick, Peeta and Katniss didn't know and wouldn't know since the panem lost tributes were shown on the night. He was devastated he walked angrily to his room and started to shatter all the things he could found on his way until his eyes end on a family picture on his nightstand, he picked up the photo showing a picture of him with his wife and daughter all laughing at something he was said, all with a big smile with little Sage position between him and Isla.

It's funny how easily someone can vanish from this world. Just with that. It make him more angrier that she was intact, she didn't had a wound it was the stupid tsunami that provoke everything. She was gone, her "only" daughter was gone. He wasn't going to see her again, there were so close from taking the rebels out of the arena and keeping them alive. But he felt like he fail, making hot tears roll from his face.

The only thing that he was going to keep from her were memories that with the time would vanished too.

Forgetting about her. How her voice sounded. Her laugh. Her hugs. How she could light a dark room. Her brave and kind heart. Her beautiful soul. Her humor. Her bad jokes. All gone. At the end he was wrong. Not all kind souls are rewarded afterwards.

Mags watched him from the hallway stepping inside carefully placing herself next to him, Mags was very sad too, she was her mother figure after Isla passed so it was hard for her too. She placed her wrinkle hands on his that were on the photo giving the man a sad smile, saying a lot of things without really saying anything.

He had to be strong, he still needed to take a lot of people out of the arena. So he returned to the living room quietly with Mags by his side. Sitting on the couch at continue to watch the games, hopping that no one dies.

- Inside of the arena Sage was running for her life with a tsunami not far behind, her legs burned she was really tired, she hadn't eaten or drink anything since she arrived to the arena. She was exhausted.

Until the wave knocked her, she shouted before she grab some air and tried to be calm, since she was from district four she could hold her breath for long time, but she hit her head. Making the cannon sound.

She was really trying to keep her eyes open but it was too much so she just close them, taking a deep sleep. Even though she couldn't reopen her eyes she could feel that the waves were gone and she was on the soft sand, until something cold grab her and picked her up until she was inside of something.

"We have a pulse" someone said.

"It's imposible, the cannon sounded" another voice sounded.

"She is alive, but everyone thinks she is dead." The first voice sounded again. " what are we going to do? Were do we take her?"

"To district 4" the second voice said. " no one will know where she is, they think she is dead. Let's make them think that. She would wake up in a couple of days"

"When we arrived to distric 4 she would be awake, we will tell her that she can't be seen by anyone. She is dead for all the district and the capitol" the second voice said.

"It would be our secret, no one knows. Just us"

And with that she couldn't hear anything else, sleeping for a couple of days till they arrived to district 4.

- Finnick, johanna, Katniss, Beetee, Peeta and Wiress where on the cornucopia talking about katniss new achievement.

"This entire arena seems to be laid off like a clock with a new threat every hour, but they stay only within their wedge. It all starts with the lightning, then blood rain, fog, monkeys. That's the first four hours. At ten that big wave hits from over there." The girl on fire started.

"Wiress, you're a genius." Finnick said proudly while giving her a genuine smile.

"But the tail points at twelve." Peeta said.

"That's where the lightning strikes at noon and midnight." Katniss pointed out.

"Strikes where?" Beetee asked katniss.

"That big tree." She said while pointing a big tree that standout. While the group were talking wiress decided to sit near the water that surrounded that cornucopia while singing a song softly.

"Hickory Dickory Dock. The mouse ran up the clock. The clock stroke one, the mouse ran down. Hickory Dickory Dock. Hickory Dickory Dock..." nuts singed.

"So twelve to one lightning. Then one to two is blood, then fog and then monkeys" peeta said while drawing a circle with the sand on the cornucopia.

"Hickory Dickory Dock. The dog barked at the clock. The clocks stroke three.."

"And then then ten to eleven the wave. What about everything else? Did you guys see anything?" Katniss continued.

"Hickory Dickory Dock."

"Nothing but blood." Johanna replied.

"It doesn't matter. As long as we stay clear of whichever sector is active, we'll be safe." Peeta said while looking at everyone.

"We need to find pirate" Finnick said.

"Yeah. We haven't seen her seems the start of the games" Johanna pointed out.

"We left her behind, we have to find her" Finnick said with a mix of anger and sadness.

Katniss didn't pay enough attention to what Finnick was saying she decided to turned around and watched wiress sing only to find gloss behind her stabbing Wiress in the back. After watching that action Katniss quickly shoots her arrow on gloss chest killing him, then Cashmere attempts to strike, but Johanna kills her by throwing her axe at her head.

Before why one could move the cornucopia started to rotated and spun which makes everyone on it fall to the ground and hold on as it spins, but Katniss lose her grip and nearly falls off the rock when Johanna grabs her arm.

"Hold on! Hold on!" Johanna told her but the cornucopia but it was spinning faster and faster that katniss lose her grab from johanna's hand and falls on the water.

"No! No!" Johannas shouted and after that it stoped.

Katniss fortunately manages to drag herself out of the water and onto the rocks of the Cornucopia, making Peeta and Johanna run towards her.

"You okay?" Peeta asked her while rubbing her back.

"Let's just get what we need and get off the island." Finnick stated making everyone gather everything they needed and headed to the beach near the jungle.

"So besides Brutus and Enobaria, who's left?" Beetee asked.

"Maybe Chaff. Just those three." Peeta responded forgetting about sage.

"And Sage, we font know we're she is" Finnick sighed. "They know they're outnumbered, I doubt they'll attack again. We're safe here on the beach."

"So what do we do? We hunt 'em down? Wait for sage to come to us?" Johanna asked suddenly being cut by prim's shouting.

"Katniss, help me!"

"Prim! Prim!" Katniss shouted towards the jungle and running inside.

"No!" Finnick shouted running behind her.

"Prim!" The girl continued to shout.

"Katniss! Katniss, wait!" The golden boy shouted toward her Allie without success because katniss continued to run into the jungle because she still heard her sisters shouts.

"Katniss! Help me! Help me!" A bird shouted towards her realizing that the noise was coming from the bird so she shoots an arrow and kills it which immediately stops the screaming. And finnick was now by her side.

"Katniss! You okay?" Fish boy asked Katniss. But another scream was heard.

"Finnick!" Sage Abernathy shouted.

"Finnick! No! It's not her." Katniss shouted towards finnick, but he didn't listen and run toward the shouting.

"Pearl! sage! Were are you!" He shouted while running. "Pirate! Pearl!"

"Finnick, it's not her! It's just a jabberjay. It's not her." Katniss said while grabbing finnick's attention.

"Well, how do you think they got that sound? Jabberjays copy. Also she inside the arena!" Finnick responded angrily towards Katniss.

Now hearing Gale yelling for help.

"Gale" Katniss whispers, suddenly a whole flock of jabberjays flies around them.

"Come on, come on, come on!" Finnick yelled towards Katniss trying to return towards the beach wanting to get away from the birds as they follow them all the while hearing the screams of their loved ones, as they run they notice Peeta, Beetee and Johanna ahead.

"Peeta!" Katniss yelled while smashing Hera left towards the forcefield.

"Stop, stop, stop! It's okay!" Peeta shouted from the other side, trying to calm her down but only makes Katniss and Finnick panic.

"They're just mutts! It's not real!" Johanna told finnick from the other side of the forcefield.

"It's over. It's okay. They're gone. The hour's gone. The hour's up. It's alright." Peeta said while hugging Katniss.

"Pearl?" Finnick asked while looking at Johanna that was seeing a shocked finnick.

"Are you okay?" She asked softly.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine." He said blankly looking nowhere.

"Okay. They won't touch Prim. Alright?" Peeta said to Katniss.

"What about sage?" Finnick asked. "She still here at the arena"

"Your fiancé's right. The whole country loves your sister. If they tortured her or did anything to her, forget the Districts, there would be...riots in the damn Capitol." Johanna told Katniss. "I'm not so sure about Pirate, she had to be with us by know. I think something happened to her. I can feel it."

"Hey, how does that sound, Snow? What if we...what if we set your backyard on fire? You know, you can't put everybody in here!" Johanna shouted angrily while everyone looked at her in silence. "What? They can't hurt me. There's no one left that I love." She states looking at Katniss. "I'll get you some water." She said while walking away.

As they all sit on the beach after the traumatized hour everyone looking at finnick Sitting at the water. Johanna bringing the water that she said she'll get to Katniss.

"Thank you." Katniss said to Johanna while she place herself next to the girl on fire.

"Who's Pearl?" Katniss asked Johanna while they watched finnick.

"Pearl is the nickname Finnick gave Sage when they were little, Sage told me when we together at her house." Johanna told the girl on fire.

"Do you think she still alive? Somewhere in the arena?" The brown haired girl asked.

"The truth..." jo paused for a moment. "No. She would be with us by now, she is my best friend it would kill me, it would kill him. He loves her to much it would break him knowing she isn't with us anymore"

"What about haymitch?" Katniss asked.

"I don't know how he would react, it's his daughter, it's all he got left" Johanna said sadly with a small hot tear rolling down her left cheek. "Let's just hope the best"

"I have a plan." Beetee blurt out making Johanna stand up and call finnick.

"Finnick!" She yelled making everyone gather together.

"Where do careers feel safest? The jungle?" Beetee asked no one in particular.

"The jungle's a nightmare." Johanna stated.

"Probably here on the beach." Finnick said.

"Then why are they not here?" Beetee asked again.

"Because we are, we claimed it." Peeta said.

"And if we left, they would come." Beetee asked again.

"Or stay hidden in the tree line." Finnick proposed.

"Which in just over four hours will be soaked with water from the ten o'clock wave. And what happens at midnight?" Volts remarked.

"Lightning strikes that tree." Katniss spoke.

"Here's what I propose. We leave the beach at dusk. We head to the lightning tree. That should draw them back to the beach. Prior to midnight, we then run this wire from the tree to the water. Anyone in the water, or on the damp sand, will be electrocuted." Beetee proposed to the group in front of him.

"How do we know the wire's not gonna burn up?" The female from district 7 asked.

"Because I invented it. I assure you, it won't burn up." Beetee said simply making all to look at each other for a moment.

"Well, it's better than hunting them down." Jo remarks.

"Yeah, why not? If it fails, no harm done anyway, right?" Katniss said.

"Alright, I say we try it." Peeta said while agreeing with the plan.

"So what can we do to help?" Finnick asked.

"Keep me alive for the next six hours. That would be extremely helpful." Beete finished.

later Katniss and Peeta were sitting together on the beach away from the others, Katniss looking at the other three for a moment.

"I think we need to go." Katniss proposed to her "fiancée."

"This plan's gonna work." Peeta said while frowning his eyebrows.

"think so too. And once the careers are dead we both know what happens next. I don't want to be the one that shoots first." Katniss remarked.

"What if they don't either? What if all of us refuse to shoot first?" Peeta asked her.

"We might still end up dead." She said simply.

"Maybe not, I mean, it worked for us last time." He remarked.

"They're not gonna make that same mistake again. You know and I know there's only one person walking out of here. And it's gonna be one of us." She finished.
