𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 | "𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫."- ༜ -

- It was hot on the jungle, the career pack plus Sage were chatting among themselves about there next move.

"I want to kill her" Brutus started with a smirk on his face.

"No, I'm going to kill her" cashmere stated.

"Sorry to interrupt your killing plans but what's next?" Sage said while rolling her eyes and locking at district one and two tributes.

"Well let's so separate ways, if we find more tributes we kill them." Gloss spoke while analysing the plan. "simple."

"Okay. I'm going to try and find finnick" sage said while standing up and giving each one a hug while saying her goodbyes. "Good luck."

It was still dark so it was difficult to see around the jungle, Brutus and Enobaria left the group trying to find more people to kill with cashmere and gloss following behind leaving sage alone in their camping spot.

She started to walk making her way to the beach. Since she was all the way to the end of the dome it would be harder to be at the beach in a couple of minutes.

- "We need our weapons." Katniss spoke while turning her head in different directions. "Get to the beach"

As the baboons start to attack, the trio defend themselves using their weapons, then Katniss was pushed under water by one baboon and as it's about to bite her Peeta kill it.

"We gotta get to the beach" an alarmed Peeta shouted while killing more baboons with his machete.

The trio was trying to make a run for it but Peeta stumbles and just as he's about to be attacked by a baboon the female Morphling emerged from the tree behind him and attacks it but got bitten in the process, while Peeta was watching he grabbed his machete and kill the baboon.

"Who is that?" A panicked Katniss asked.

"The Morphling. Help me get her." Peeta spoke while they drag her and make it to the beach, as they reach the beach the baboons stop attacking; to the Morphling as she takes her last breaths.

"Hey, hey. It's okay. It's okay. Shh. Shh. Shh. Hey do you wanna see something? Look up. Look. Look at that." Peeta spoke softly while looking at the sky turning a orange and pink colour."It's incredible, isn't it? All those colors. Don't worry about anything else. I'll be right here with you. It's okay. It's okay." He continued but fail as the morphling took her last breaths and dies on his arms, as simple as that the cannon goes off and Peeta left her footing on the calm ocean waiting for the hovercraft to take her lifeless body.

"She sacrificed herself for me and I don't even know her name." The baker boy said sadly.

"You think she sacrificed herself?" The girl on fire asked her "fiancée."

"Looked like it." He finished.

"That doesn't make any sense." The brown haired girl said while thinking.

The trio stayed on the beach for a while, in the meantime they sat and eat raw fish that Finnick had caught for them earlier while Peeta have found a seashell near the shore taking it and opening finding a pear inside grabbing it and hanging it towards Katniss. Finnick watching from aside remembering when he have Sage the pearl necklace.

"For you." The baker boy said to the girl on fire sitting next to him.

"Thank you." She said earning a small smile on his face.

"I remember when I gave Sage her pearl necklace" finnick spoke while looking at the couple earning their attention. " it was a beautiful day" he said with a big sad smile. "We have to find her" he finished which a sigh, before the district 12 tributes could respond they heard a scream, but not any scream a scream that sounded like her. Like Sage.

But they decided to don't give to much attention to it. "That's new." Peeta stated while standing up making the duo stand up just like him.

"That sounded like pearl" finnick said with a little of fear on his voice.

"Pearl?" Katniss asked confused, remembering that on his interview he dedicated his "poem" to someone with the nickname of pearl.

They watch a tsunami crashing down the forest across the beach, then they hear cannon go off and the hovercraft coming down to pick up another body, but Katniss notices something ahead of them, interrupting their attention to the Lifeless body on the hovercraft.

"Someone's here." Katniss whispered making the trio hide on the nearest tree while watching three silhouettes made their way out of the jungle all cover on blood.

"Johanna?" Finnick asked in a whisper while analysing. "Johanna!" He shouted while running towards her.

"Finnick!" District Seven greet the boy while Katniss and Peeta watched from behind.

"I guess we have more allies." Peeta told Katniss while making his way towards them with Katniss not far behind.

"Well I got them out. We were all the way deep into the jungle where I thought I was gonna be safe, that's when the rain started. I thought it was water, it turned out to be blood." Johanna told their new allies while wiress walk toward them.

"Tick tock." Nuts interrupted.

"Hot thick blood, it was coming down. It's was choking us." Johanna continued.

"Tick tock." Nuts said again.

"We were stumbling around gagging on it blind."

"Tick tock." She said again while Johanna continued to told her story.

"That's when Blight hit the force field."

"Tick tock. Tick tock."

"He wasn't much, but he was from home."

"Where is pirate?" Finnick asked Johanna.

"She wasn't with us" she stated while looking worried and being interrupted by wires again, provoking that finnick and Johanna couldn't finished their discussion.

"Tick tock. Tick tock."

"What's wrong with her?" Katniss asked referring to wires.

"She's in shock." Beetee spoke for the first time while trying to clean his glasses.

"Tick tock."

"Dehydration isn't helping. Do you have fresh water?" The district 3 male tribute asked.

"We can get some." The girl on fire Kindly said while Wiress goes over to Johanna and grabs her.

"Just..." the girl with the axe started.

"Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock." She repeated again and again and again.

"Listen, stop it!" Johanna shouted while she tried to push wires aside.

"Hey! Get off of her!" Katniss said while stepping forward them.

"No!" Johanna said while making wires fall and katniss grabbed hold of her. "Hey! What are you doing?"

Finnick that was watching aside was trying to separate them. "Hey! Hey, hey, hey!" He said while grabbing Johanna and pulling katniss away from her.

"I got them out for you!" Johanna stated angrily.

"It's okay. It's okay." Finnick said calmly while still grabbing her.

"Let me go, Finnick!" Johanna said while stepping off his grip.

"For me? What does that mean?" The girl on fire asked while looking at Peeta.

"You did want them as allies." Peeta states to the girl on fire, while she went to help wires clean up.

"Were is she?" Finnick murmured to himself and standing next to Johanna that was cleaning herself next to nuts and Katniss.

"Tick tock." Wires said while Katniss brushes her hair.

"Tick tock." The girl on fire said trying to imitate wires.

"Tick tock." Nuts continued more excited.

"Tick tock. Okay" Katniss repeat when she looked over to Beetee. "What does Beetee have there?"

"A coil? Some kind of wire." Johanna answered.

"Did he get it from the Cornucopia?" District 12 tribute asked.

"He took a knife in the back to get it." Johanna say while laughing a bit.

"Ah! Tick tock! Tick tock." Wiress said enthusiastic.

"I can't." The mason girl finished while walking away from the pair. "Just...have fun with nuts." Suddenly everyone was looking at the lightning strikes hitting a tree. Wiress turning her attention to Katniss.

"Tick tock." Wiress keep repeating until Katniss realized.

"It's...it's a clock. It's a clock. Oh, my God. It's a clock! Wiress, you're a genius! You're a genius!" The girl on fire said happily, making everyone walk towards the Cornucopia.
