Chapter 13 ~ Leaving..Again?

Carl's POV

I wake up to a pounding headache...this is what mom means by a hangover. I totally over did it last night and Alex...oh my gosh! Alex! Oh my gosh, what did I do? I kissed her!  This could of ruined our friendship deal...which now that I think about it, its not that bad. The connection that we have is unbreakable. I love her. I need to talk to her...after I get my self cleaned up.

Alex's POV

Ugh, I swear I'm never drinking again! Everyone is hungover. Carl didn't come down yet but I'm kind of nervous to see him. I love him so much, that kiss was the best feeling ever and I wish it never ended. Screw our friend deal.

I hear Jener and Dale talking about something but I can't make it out because they are by the computers and I'm at the table with Sofia.

"So, what happened with Carl last night, I walked in and you two were half drunk, then I heard commotion." She asks, I scratch my head "He kissed me." I said in a low tone "Oh my gosh what!"  I look up and see Carl walk in. I shoosh Sofia before Carl reaches the table.

He takes a seat beside me. "So..." Sofia says awkwardly. I look at her and stare her down, basically telling her to shut her trap. Carl puts his hand on my shoulder, I look at him and he smiles "Can I talk to you?" My heart says yes "Yeah sure."

We get up and walk to a corner. "What's up?" I already knew what he wants to talk about. Its making my heart beat fast. "So, about last nig-"

"Open the doors!"

I look at Carl worried. Shane just screamed, when Shane gets mad its scary, I've seen him get mad before.

Carl and I walk back. Lori grabs Carl and hugs him. "Whats going on?" I ask "This doctor locked us in here! You see that clock! Its a bomb!"

I knew something was odd about that clock maybe if I mentioned it earlier we wouldn't be in this situation.

"We can die our way, with no pain don't you see that!"

Oh my gosh this man is insane! I look at Carl who only has his eyes planted on that clock. Damn I'm already starting to let this group down. I need to step up.

"Open the doors or I'll blow your God damn computers!"  I say while grabbing a rifle. "Alex put it down!" Rick grabs the rifle from my hands. My arms fall to my side as I back away.

"I'll let you go, go get your things." Jener says sighing. The doors open and we run out like no tomorrow..except for Andrea and Jackie.

I stop and stare at them. Everyone's eyes are on me now. "You guys go I'll catch up."

"No I'm not leaving with out you!" I turn around to find Carl in almost tears. "Go"  is all i said.

I walk to Andrea and Jackie, the clock..well bomb is on 10 we need to make this quick. 

"Guys let's go!" I scream "No I'm sorry Alex I'm not fit for this world." I nod at Jackies response, its reasonable but Andrea she's so young and has Dale.

"Andrea if you won't go..i won't go."

Andrea gives me a stern look before grabbing my hand.

"Lets go." She says running out

We run and run till we reach broken glass. We leap out and run towards the rv.

I look back and see flames. Oh shit it's gonna blow!

"Down!"

We fall and lay flat behind a bush.

My ears start to ring but quickly goes back to normal as I stand. Me and Andrea look at each other speechless.

"C'mon!" Shane yells to us.

We get into the rv and drive away.

A tear falls as i look back...

So sorry it took so long to get this up I've been busy with school and drama with my boyfriend has taken a tole on me...so sorry for a long wait.
