6 Danny's Nephew

The next day

"Kamea?" asked Kono

"I left my bag here yesterday," she said entering Steve's office

"Okay, well I gotta go babysit, are we cool?" asked Kono

"We are fine," she said as Kono left a few minutes later

Danny and Steve walk in with a guy

"This is where you work?" asked the guy

"Yeah," answered Danny annoyed

"Not bad, bitching computer," Eric said starting to touch the stuff

Kamea walks out

"Kamea you're here?" asked Steve, "where were you?"

"At Kat's," she said looking sideways at the new guy

"hey, sweetheart," smiled Eric

"NO!" both Danny and Steve shout

"Hey, I'm Kamea." she smiled

"This is Eric, my nephew from New Jersey," said Danny

Then Chin walks in playing them a voicemail.

"Eric stay here," said Danny

"What?" asked Eric

"Or I can show Eric around Hawaii," Kamea offered smiling

"No!!" Danny and Steve yelled

"He'll be fine, I'll take good care of your nephew." she smiled pulling him out of the room

"If he tries anything." started Steve

"I'm with you on that," added Danny

"So where are we going, Kamea?" asked Eric

Kamea let's go "I don't know, you hungry?" she asked

"Yeah."

"Okay, let's get food," she said walking to her jeep. Once they were in the car

"Hey I'm gonna be honest I invited you to hang out to piss off my dad," she said starting the car

"Who's your dad?" asked Eric

"Steve," she answered

"Oh all good, now I don't have to listen to my uncle talk about right and wrong," said Eric

Kamea laughs at this "Understandable." she parks "Welcome to Waialua's buffet. The only place where you can have a break from seafood."

"Sounds good," said Eric

Steve's pov

"I swear she's only hanging out with him to get back at me." I huffed, gripping the wheel.

"Welcome to life as a father they do things to get on are nerves," said Danny

"Aren't you mad she's using your nephew?" asked Steve

" Nah, I don't see her hurting him, only you," said Danny

"All of this because I told you guys?" I asked

"It's not because you told us it's because she told you not to," said Danny

I look at him with a confused look.

"Your relationship is still new what five months?" asked Danny

"4 and 28 days."

"So she felt comfortable enough to tell you a secret and you showed her that it didn't matter....................this is what she's thinking," explained Danny

They spend the lunch laughing and talking about random stuff, then Bill comes and they hand it to Eric.

"Nope I invited you, I pay," she said taking the check out of his hand

"So what do you wanna do now?" she asked as they entered the jeep

"Hey, can you come back to the place?" asked Danny

"Yeah you can have your nephew back. "she said before hanging up "Danny wants you."

"I figured."

At the Palace

"Lol that's Hilarious." laughed Kamea as they entered

"What is?" asked Steve

"Kamea ignores him "Here's your nephew," she said heading out to leave when Chin entered

I think I found out how our victim got a hold of that plant. I combed through Cutler's financials And over the past few months he's been regularly booking Hunting trips." said Chin as Kamea left

Kamea had just left when she got a call

"Taylor," she answered

"Hey, can you come back to the palace?" asked Danny

"Why?"

"We got a Finicky computer," said Danny

"Be there in 10," said Kamea hanging up

As she walked in "You're a hacker?" asked Eric

"I work in tech support so I know my way around," answered Kamea grabbing the computer

"Hot," said Eric out loud Danny looked at him

"Thanks." laughed Kamea his face filled with embarrassment

After a few minutes

"We got a trojan horse virus, it was embedded in an email attachment. Once he opened it, it gave the sender access to his computer. It was sent from Patrick Roth." answered Kamea

Danny calls Steve and Kamea begins to leave but Eric runs to catch up with her.

"Wait!"

"Yes?" asked Kamea turning around

"I just wanted to say thanks for showing me around, I had fun even if it was just to annoy Steve." laughed Eric

"I had fun too, if you ever in town give me a call," she said starting to walk away

"I don't have your number," he yelled

"Are you sure check again?'' she winked, before turning back around. He looks and finds her in his contacts.

"Wow," he said out loud

"Stop staring." said Danny, opening the door "let go."

Later that night

When Kamea entered the house

"Where were you?" asked Steve

"At Katherine's," she said walking upstairs Dixie followed her up

"Okay, stop avoiding me," said Steve

She stops moving

"I'm sorry, I'm still new to being a dad and I made a mistake," said Steve

"Yeah you made a mistake you didn't even make it a day!" she yelled

"Sorry," he repeated

Kamea took a deep breath "I accepted your apology but I will take time to earn my trust." she said before walking upstairs followed by Dixie
