Eight

Luke POV

I carried Percy in my arms as he slept. Ethan and I traveled to a secret enter acne to the underworld and slipped inside. We walked over to the river Styx. A man formed by the river.

"Stop, turn back. You should not do this, hero.Do not end up like me!"

"I am no hero! I will do this and you cannot stop me, Achilles."

Achilles sighed, "As you wish." And he dissolved into the air.

I handed Ethan Percy and he set Percy close to the wall of the cave like room. Undoing Percy's ropes, he took a chain that was in his bag and shackled Percy's hands, then shackled his feet. He took more chains and connected them to the shackles, exactly three feet of chain pulled tight, forcing Perch into a sitting position, then attached the ends of the chains to the same peg 3feet away from him. He walked back over to me.

"Remember to focus on your mortal point." Ethan told me.

I fell into the river. As I fell into the river I felt excruciating pain. I sank deeper as the currents pulled me. My life flashed before my eyes. From rescuing Annabeth in that alley, to kidnapping Percy.

"Come on Luke, imagine your mortal point."

Annabeth told me, before she faded away into the sea of images.

Percy formed out of the images, he was the most vivid of them all.

"You can do if Luke, just take my hand."

I reached out and grabbed his hand. His other hand reached out and touched a place that would be hard to reach under my battle armor, just a little under my left armpit, on the side of my chest. A tingling sensation spread there, until a shimmering cord appeared there anchoring me to my mortal point. But then, a monster appeared in the image of Percy. It attacked him: I screamed. I hauled myself out of the river, looking around wildly. As my eyes settled on Percy, I relaxed, he was safe. That was until I saw the golden coffin and the ball of golden light hurling at me. And everything went black.

Alright guys. Here is the chapter. Sorry for not updating, my birthday was on Friday, November 20th, so I was pretty busy for that, then my family was cleaning the house and getting ready for Thanksgiving on this coming Thursday, so I had to pitch in on that. Hopefully I will get more chances to update. I will try to update again before the end of today.
