**** I REALLY RECOMMEND THE SONG ABOVE. IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND ONE OF MY FAVORITES.***
Jimin's emotions were all over the place. The news of The Fox being rescued had reached them in the late afternoon and Jungkook decided to celebrate. He was definitely happy that Seokjin was back home and he wanted to fly back immediately to see his Fox in flesh and blood. He imagined Fox hugging him in equal enthusiasm when they meet. It was a beautiful scenario, although very delusional. He was even irritated at first for being so away and almost lashed out at Jackson when he informed that they could fly back only the day after. But then he coaxed his mind to act rationally and pushed the superficial thoughts back in his head.
Right now he was sitting on a stool near the counter, watching Jungkook chop veggies for the japchae. Jungkook was wearing a beige sweat shirt with the sleeves rolled and his arm tattoos on display, along with a dark beige apron paid with white pants. He looked phenomenal even while cooking. His lower lips jutted out slightly while he concentrated on the task at hand.
Jimin couldn't help but stare at the man in front of him and feel that warm fuzzy feeling spread all over his chest. He wondered how those lips would feel on him and the blushed from his ears to neck.
"What are you looking at?" Jungkook asked as he caught the older staring. He didn't comment on the blush that painted Jimin beautifully even if he noticed.
"N-nothing. W-was wondering if I could help." Jimin stuttered but managed to give an excuse which obviously Jungkook didn't buy. As a matter of fact Jungkook enjoyed the pair of eyes on him and the rosy tint on Jimin's face.
"Do you know how to cook, Jimin ssi?" Jungkook asked in a teasing tone as he went back to stirring the stew in a pot. A sweet smiled adorned his face anyway.
"Uh.. I.. I know a few things Mimi taught." Jimin replied as he blushed harder and lowered his head to hide it.
"Oh? What could that be?" Jungkook asked, genuinely surprised and curious.
"We made pajeon a few times, and carrot cake too. I had a lot of fun baking the cake." Jimin replied lifting his face and smiling brightly at the memory.
"We could bake one now. Would you like that?" Jungkook asked as he already counted the ingredient in his head. He was enthralled by the beautiful eye smile yet again and he'd bake a thousand cakes to preserve it, if that's what it took.
"We could? Really? Please." Jimin almost jumped out of his stool in excitement, beaming like a little kid.
A sweet chuckle erupted out of Jungkook's throat before he could stop it, not that he would. Jimin's precious reaction to a simple carrot cake had his heart summersault back and forth.
"So, should I put you in charge of the dessert for today?" Jungkook asked as he walked a little closer to Jimin and bent over the counter and propped his face on his palm; the sweet smile never leaving his face.
Jimin frowned a little, "Are you mocking me, Kookie?" there was absolutely no malice in the question, rather it was as innocent as it could be. And, Jungkook couldn't try and hide the fondness that shined in his eyes. So precious.
"Of course not, Jiminie. I'll let you do whatever you want, really." Jungkook said it with a conviction which meant far greater things than just the cake.
"Ok then. Pastry chef coming through." Jimin giggled as he got hold of his crutches and hopped off the stool.
Jungkook giggled along with Jimin before helping him walk a few steps and muttering a small careful.
Jimin rummaged through the cabinets, pulling out everything he needed and set up the things besides Jungkook. He looked up to ask Jungkook where the grater could be but to his surprise he found the younger already looking his way. And that handsome face, so close to him, looking at him starry eyed made his heart beat faster than it ever did. He gulped and looked away immediately, wetting his dry lips with his tongue before he spoke, "W-where is the gr-grater Jungkookie?"
It was only the voice that pulled Jungkook out of his reverie. "It must in the bigger cabinets inside. I'll go grab it for you." Jungkook dashed to the storage, holding his face between his palms in an effort to cool down the heat spreading throughout his body.
What the hell!!
When Jungkook was back with the grater, Jimin had already sorted out the dry and the wet ingredients and was now struggling with the apron with a pout on his luscious lips.
"Kookie aah, help me. What on earth is this apron, can't figure out." Jimin whined as soon as he spotted the younger.
Jungkook giggled at how the older was being adorable, tangled up in the apron. He approached the older, took off the apron from around his head and untangled it before putting it around him again. He then leaned closer to tie the strap around his waist. His hands were around the older and that brought them impossibly close. Their breaths mingled and that's when Jungkook actually looked into Jimin's eyes. His eyes were wide, pupils dilated, breathing a little on the shorter side, but what knocked out Jungkook's breath was the tip of Jimin's tongue that peeked out to wet his dry lips.
Even before any of them could think, they were already leaning towards each other, placing their lips against each other.
Jungkook fluttered his eyes closed as he felt the plush lips against his. His hands instinctively wrapped around the older.
They both savored the moment. It was nothing more than lips against lips, but that felt right. Pure, innocent and true; as if they were both putting out their heart out in that small contact.
Moments later, Jungkook felt the wetness around the corner of his lips which made him slowly pull away. But what made him panic immediately was the wet trail of tears from Jimin's eyes. He went frantic.
"I'm sorry. Jimin. I'm sorry. I don't know what came over. Shouldn't have done that. Jimin I'm really sorry." Jungkook was rambling the apologies, thinking he crossed the line and assumed Jimin would feel the same as him. However, he stopped and looked up, only to see Jimin smiling through his tears. He effectively shut up, trying to understand the reaction but Jimin beat him to it, chuckling as he wiped the tears with the sweater paw, "It felt right for the first time, Jungkookie."
Jungkook felt his own eyes burn at the sudden confession the older made, and before his tears could decide to slip down, he closed the distance again. He held Jimin's face between his large hands and kissed him again. This time it was more than a peck. They kissed each other like it was their first and the last kiss. Like the kiss meant the whole world and it probably did. They kissed like long lost lovers. Like nothing mattered anymore. It didn't.
Jungkook's mind reeled around the thought of protecting this moment forever. Nothing but Jimin mattered.
While the thought of getting better to prove himself held a new meaning to Jimin in that moment. Nothing else mattered. He'd do it for Jungkook.
They both pulled away, a little breathless, and then the shy side of Jimin kicked in. He ducked his head and spoke, not above whisper, "T-the c-cake Jungkookie."
"Right. Right. The cake." Jungkook backed a little but smirked as he noticed the blush that resurfaced on Jimin's face, brighter than ever.
.
After that little moment they worked with their respective dishes. Occasional brushes of arms and stolen glances throughout the hour.
"Should I set the table, Jungkookie?" Jimin asked as he set watched Jungkook place the now baked cake inside the fridge.
"Do you mind having dinner in the VR room? I'm tired of the concrete walls, even an illusion of a garden seems alluring." Jungkook said as he stood in front of the older, tucking a loose strand of hair behind his ears; the gesture came naturally.
"Whatever you want." Jimin smiled his eye smile to only earn a tiny peck on his lips before Jungkook dashed out to the VR room.
Jimin giggled as he decided to clean up while Jungkook was setting their dinner. He wore a white t shirt, and baby blue cardigan over it, paired with black slacks. Jungkook walked in as he was ruffling his hair to give them a little texture.
Jungkook wanted to compliment Jimin on how cute he looked and shower him with kisses, but refrained, not wanting to overwhelm the older. Instead, he smiled his famous bunny smile, "Its ready. Are you tired? Do you want your wheel chair?"
"Not tired. And don't want to see those ugly wheels again. Although I don't mind being carried." Jimin giggled as he made grabby hands. It was a habit he picked in his time with Jungkook.
Jungkook complied to his request gladly, carrying him out of their room to the VR room in bridal style. Jimin giggle the entire time, unsure of the reason.
When they entered the room, Jimin's jaw dropped. The sight in front him was not natural but ethereal nonetheless.
The roof of the room was blue with visuals of clouds moving in slow motion. The floor covered with faux grasses. The walls had visuals similar to an open meadow with flowers of different colors and kinds. But what knocked Jimin's breath away was the hologram of a cherry blossom right in the middle of the room. it was fluttering like it would in a breezy spring day, shedding the petals that disappeared mid air. Even the air conditioning was set like a soft breeze.
Again, Jimin's tears escaped his eyes without permission. He asked himself if he was allowed to feel so warm and happy. Would he survive if this new life was snatched away from him, or if this was all a dream; a dream too beautiful to wake up.
As if Jungkook could read his thoughts. He wrapped his arms around his waist from behind and placed his head on the older's shoulder. "You deserve everything good in this world. I promise to take you out to places more beautiful than this VR."
Jimin couldn't speak; didn't know what to, so he just nodded. He didn't even realize when he was put down to his feet, too caught up with the emotions.
"C'mon now, the foods getting cold." Jungkook took his hand and led them towards the low table set under the cherry blossom. They ate their food, while talking about nothing and everything, like they always did. The only thing different in today's dinner was the shine in their eyes and the warmth in their heart. The fondness that they both held towards each other was clear in their eyes and they were content.
"I'm actually excited for the dessert part." Jimin giggled, which was a blessing to Jungkook's ears for the nth time that day.
"I didn't know you love carrot cake so much." Jungkook spoke as he sliced the cake for both of them.
"No. I mean, I do love it, but I'm more excited for you to taste the cake because I baked it." Jimin's eyes turned into pretty crescents as his lips upturned.
"Then I want you to feed with your own hands. Bet it will be sweeter." Jungkook chuckled.
"Eww, cheesy." Jimin giggled at Jungkook's poor attempt at flirting. Jungkook giggled along with him, handing Jimin his piece of cake before picking his own. However, Jimin held up his fork with a little cake in it, in front of Jungkook.
Jungkook looked up into Jimin's eyes as he opened up to accept the bite. His brows immediately furrowed and he closed his eyes. Jimin laughed at the reaction. A loud laugh that pushed out of his chest, it almost startled Jungkook.
"Why are you laughing?" Jungkook asked as he swallowed his bite of cake.
"You look angry when the food is good. It's cute." Jimin chuckled as he pushed another bite towards the younger. The fact that they both knew the trivial habits of each other was natural.
"No, I don't." Jungkook weakly protested as he started feeding Jimin as well. A little of the frosting stuck to the corner of Jimin's lips as he ate, and the urge to kiss it clean was strong enough to not be brushed away. So Jungkook did what felt right at that moment.
He put away their plates of dessert and carefully maneuvered Jimin closer to him, held his face and licked away the frosting before kissing the corner of his lips.
A weak "Kookie" left Jimin's lips before he circled his own arms around the younger and they were kissing.
Tugging at the lips playfully and sliding their tongues against each other, tasting every nook and cranny. Leisurely indulging in the moment with no rush, tangling their tongues in ways that felt peaceful under the illusion of a cherry blossom.
Everything was Blues and Pinks at that moment.
THEY FINALLY KISSED..... SKSKKJAKJK
IT FELT SO BEAUTIFULL TO WRITE THE LAST PART, WHICH WAS AN IDEA OF MY DEAR MOTHER. I HOPE YOU GUYS WILL ENJOY TOO.
