chapter 4

Something seems wrong here,

After finishing their lunch, they went to their classes.

the classes were nice but one person can’t focus on the classes.

It’s Jungkook.

His mind is filled with Taehyung’s face and that smile.

Taehyung’s ethereal face, his perfect body, and that deep voice disturbed the other so much.

After they finished the classes, Jungkook asked about the boxing clubs and bought two applications. Then he approached Taehyung and handed him a paper to him.

“thank you Jungkook”That was all he said and silently filled the form and submitted it to the leader of the club.He didn’t even notice Jungkook was trying to talk with him.

“bye Jungkook”

Then Taehyung left searching for Jimin.

“he only said 5 words”Jungkook huffed and called his manager to pick him up.

"I won't give up"

He thought to himself.

Time skip: next day morning.

Jimin and Jungkook were walking to the main gate of the University.

Jungkook wanted to know about Taehyung. So, he asked about him to Jimin,

“Jimin hyung, why Taehyung hyung is so silent?”

Jimin turned his head towards the younger’s side and replied,

“he is introverted.”

“oh but he can at least reply to the people”

“what do you mean?”

“I mean, I gave boxing club applications to him yesterday. He only said thank you and walked away. It seems he’s not willing to build a conversation with anyone.”

“yeah, you figured it out. Just let him be. Why would you bother?”Jimin said calmly.

Jungkook's eyes widened at that response. He got offended.

“n-no, I just wanted to be a friend. But how can one befriend or love him if he behaves like that?”

Now Jimin stopped on his way and faced Jungkook.

“look here, things are not easy for him like others. He suffered a lot before and he is slowly getting used to this environment.

You don’t know anything about him. please don’t bother him. if you want to have friends, there are thousands of people other than Taehyung here.”

He said and walked fast to their locker.

Jungkook followed him and slightly bowed his head,

“Sorry hyung, I shouldn’t have asked this.”

Jimin patted his shoulder and spoke,“Alright and thanks for your concern. If he wants to talk to you, don’t make him feel uncomfortable.”

“thank you hyung”Jungkook said and went to the classroom.

“Diamonds are rare and take many steps to become one, so like Taehyung. Seems like I should work hard"

Jungkook thought and sat in his place.

Jimin took some books and followed him.

days passed, Jungkook used to talk to him during lunch and after classes. He also used to buy him snacks or gifts, but Taehyung would reject them kindly as usual.

But Taehyung liked Jungkook’s company as Jungkook was so nice to behave. And Jungkook is madly in love with Taehyung.

He has been acting sweet and caring for the other but he is just replying ‘thank you ‘or ‘I owe you a lot.

Two months passed like that and Taehyung finally agreed to go to the café with Jungkook.

It took him two months to gain his trust. Jungkook had never worked hard to get a boy.

So, they are sitting in a café facing each other.

To be honest, Taehyung enjoyed Jungkook’s company so he has another other Jimin to lean on for comfort.

But taehyung is wrong this time.

Then, the waiter served them Latte and left.

Jungkook took a sip and spoke,

“so hyung, what’s your weekend plan?”

“Nothing. just resting at home.”

“oh ok”

That’s it. It was silence after that small convo. It was not awkward now as they were used to this.

Jungkook asked him out of the blue,“hyung, do you believe in love?”

Taehyung choked on his drink and looked at Jungkook.

“why all of the sudden?”

“I just wanted to know about your opinion.”

“oh, it’s simple. I believe in strong and unbreakable bonds built with trust and affection. It should travel with me forever and I should cherish it”He said and smile looking at his latte cup.

jungkook smiled slightly and replied,“Woah, nice hyung. I think you’ll find your love soon”

Taehyung smiled and nodded shyly.

That smile, that smile made Jungkook weak and wanted to wrap him in his embrace.

Jungkook got lost in that face and snapped back when Taehyung waved his hands in front of him.

“jungkook”

“yea, here. Just zoned out.”

“fine. let’s go.”

“But we’ve been here for only 20 minutes.”

“But we should go right?”

Jungkook sighed and held others’ hands.“can we spend some time in that park there? It’ll be nice. Nothing will happen if you stay with me for extra 30 minutes.”

Taehyung nodded and they both went to the park near that café.

They are walking together and Taehyung blushed when their hands brushed each other.

As usual, Jungkook started to speak,“hyung, what do you think about me?”

The older looked at the other and replied,“you seem nice and sweet. Anyone will fall for you. you’re behaving well”

“But you didn’t fall for me though”Jungkook mumbled and looked away.

“what did you say?”

“nothing hyung, can say I something about you?”

“yes”

“you always look serious and calm. But your smile can light up the whole world. Why can’t you smile? I fell for you when I see your smile, like love at first sight.”

Then he smiled and looked at the shocked older.

“w-what did you just s-s-say?”

“I said I fell for you by seeing that smile.”

Taehyung thought the world stopped for a second.

He couldn’t process what was happening now and blinked at the other.

Jungkook held the other’s hand and spoke,“hyung, I love you. I mean it. I mean I love everything in you. will you accept me? you can take your own time.”He looked into the other’s eyes and hoped for a good answer.

Taehyung looked away. He couldn’t control the overwhelming emotions. He also like him more than a friend but didn’t know whether it was love or not.

He is nice and knows how to cheer one up. He couldn’t deny the fact that he also developed feelings for Jungkook. But he was afraid of another heart break. He thinks he can't handle if this turns to a failure. So he thought deeply and he decided to accept a challenge this time .

He is looking at his feet now. Taehyung just nodded and ran away from there.

Jungkook shouted thank you hyung and hopped around like a bunny with his iconic smile.Then he ran to catch up with his hyung grinning widely.

They both are in love.

It’s not going in the right way. one will get lost on the wrong path for sure.
