Chapter Fourteen

06:36, 14 October 2014

The ninja alliance fought alongside both Sasuke and Naruto as they battled against the ten tails clones. The god tree had risen towards the moon waiting to make it's forbidden move. Madara had been shouting to Obito to give him his rinnegan, so he could continue on with the eternal tsukiyomi. His true plans were yet foiled as his true face began to show. Not only was Madara stronger, but he was now alive just as everyone else. Sasuke's quick decision was to follow the first hokage's orders to trick him into trusting him, but then quickly betraying it with instant death. Naruto was still battling Obito while using the Kyuubi's chakra. The two had made grave mistakes, as Madara saw through Sasuke's façade, while Naruto would be against his greatest threat. Sasuke would deal with a clean stab through the chest with his very own weapon, while Naruto will have the nine tails extracted. The outcome was bitter. Sasuke could see just a little over the cliff, where Tsunade had been healing Sakura from the seal Obito had released. His desperate tries were of no use as he faded away from the physical world.

Her eyes slowly opened as the moon light burned her them. Tsunade was sitting above her young student with a proud but stern look across her face. She helped the pink haired girl up as she soaked in her surroundings. Naruto or Sasuke were nowhere to be seen.

"What happened?" Sakura mumbled with a tired croaked voice.

"A strong poison was released into your body. It affected all of your vital organs, nothing I can't fix. Your chakra points weren't as damaged as I thought they would be. If you think you can still fight, I won't stop you. " Tsunade inquired to her as they both stood up to really take a look at the battle surrounding them.

"Tsunade!" Yelled a strong voice coming from behind them, they both quickly turned to see who was calling. The first Hokage was limping to them. Sakura could see it was a wood clone.

"What is it!"

"The God tree has sucked up the alliance's chakra. They need medical attention now!" Tsunade turned and nodded in unison with Sakura, but were quickly interrupted by the same man. "I'm not finished yet. I sent that Uchiha boy after Madara and it seems things didn't turn out as I had hoped." Sakura's eyes widened hoping to not hear the worst.

"What happened to him?" Sakura asked with a short breath.

"He's been stabbed. I don't have much longer, Madara has pinned all my chakra points!" The hokage whipped around to point to the bare cliff behind him, and on the edge of the rocks stood

Madara Uchiha whom jumped down to join Obito. Sakura turned to the area where the God Tree had been growing. Underneath it should be tons of suffering people, as she turned with worry to where Madara once stood. With a gentle move, Tsunade placed her hand on Sakura's head.

"Go, I can deal with everything here. Just come back as soon as you can." Sakura looked up between her mentor's light thin fingers. In a second she darted towards the cliffs.

Sasuke found himself in a light place. There was nothing surrounding him but light. Behind him had sat an old man in old robes. The man pronounced that he was the Six Paths himself. The old man spoke to him of reincarnation and all of the sorts. He asked the young boy what his plans were, and what he would do. His response must have pleased him, for he was given the rinnegan along with a power from the Path. In the distance of the world he was currently in, he could hear a sweet desperate voice calling his name. The area began to fill with a warm green fog, as his senses came back to him. With everything in full motion he awoke in a daze. Did I die? He asked himself, remembering that it wouldn't have been the first time. As his vision was no longer blurred, he found himself in a familiar position. Above him sat a pink haired girl, hovering over his once lifeless body. Her desperate pleas rang furiously in his head. He could see the light green glow from before as he knew it had been her.

"Sakura." He whispered as he placed his hand to his chest. With utter surprise she perked up with joy to see his dark orbs once again. Tears had finally begun to well up in her eyes. Sasuke sat up with the help of Sakura.

"Thank-god." She whispered as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her body against his. Sasuke who has never known what to do whenever she had hugged him like this, did something he would have never dared to do before. Hesitantly he wrapped his own arms around her small fragile body. The tears overwhelmed Sakura as they spilled over her waterline.

"Sakura."

"Yes Sasuke?" Sakura replied as she pulled back to face his brightening eyes.

"I want you to stay by my side."

"Yes Sasuke."

"We have to help Naruto fight those two idiots."

"You want me to fight by your side?"

She questioned with confusion, as everyone has always doubted her abilities.

"I haven't seen what you're capable of yet. Now is the time to prove it." A smile curved across her face, as Sasuke smirked to the thought of how much she must have grown while he was gone. The two joined hands as they walked to the battle beneath them.

Once they had reached the action, everything had been tipping the opposite way. Though they had a sudden advantage once Obito had finally decided to betray Madara, and fight with the shinobi alliance. All Madara had needed was the Rinnegan he held in his left eye. Naruto and Sasuke joined together their new jutsu's, as they quickly took down the God Tree. Sakura stood back with Tsunade to help heal any injuries. Sakura had released the same chakra that she had saved up for the past three years, just like Tsunade did whenever there were desperate measures. Sakura would wait until she would have to use her full power. Everything seemed to be fine, but Madara had taken Obito's original sharingan from Kakashi's left eye. Sasuke had quickly stopped Madara before he could grab the rinnegan by cutting the now alive man in half. His upper half struggled helplessly as it still thrived for the left eye Obito had. All the man did was look his supposed saviour in the eye, before he would strike him with a kunai. With all the main threats dealt with, it was only Sasuke and Obito who remained. The five kage walked up to the two rogue ninja. The first to speak was the Raikage.

"I want the both of you executed where you stand!" He bellowed.

"Like hell that will happen!" Naruto yelled as he stood beside the opposed.

"They created this mess, and we're lucky to have survived it!"

"But they helped us fight against Madara!" Naruto protested.

"They're both the reason we had too!"

"But they are good now, they can help build the villages to make them stronger!"

"Even if they are it won't do any good. They still committed unforgivable crimes." Tsunade chimed in with a defeated truth.

"They don't have to die though, they should still be considered as-"

"Shut up." Obito quickly spoke with an annoyed tsk. Naruto turned towards him with anger. "What the hell I'm trying to help you!"

"There's no need. I won't be of any trouble to you anymore. Live your lives." Were the last words they would hear from Obito as he disappeared behind the time space jutsu. The raikage yelled out with anger, thus forcing him to go against Sasuke.

"Then I'll kill you for what you have done!"

"That's enough! I'll deal with him from here. It was my problem to begin with, so I'll end it." Sasuke had stared at them with an empty face for quite a while, as did Sakura which was very surprising. "Sakura, it's surprising to not have heard your opinion of this situation yet." Turning around she could already see the Sakura was nothing but a shadow clone that was more disguised then Sasuke's. Her face turned red with anger to the betrayal she felt, but pride to the guts that girl had.
