Part 1
11:16, 15 May 2024Saying "yes" to the man in front of her, Emma immediately sensed that something was wrong. Although the rest of the gathered thunderous applause, her mother had tears in her eyes, and Killian was already pulling her to him forcing a passionate kiss, Emma stood paralyzed, smiling forcedly.
Because instead of peace and fulfillment, feeling like she was finally home, she began to feel anxious. It was as if her whole body suddenly refused to obey, as if she wasn't in it. She looked around the gathered as Killian led her to the gazebo where the catering was waiting. Henry came over to her, hugging her and murmuring some words of congratulations, but she didn't register. Her eyes searched for someone in the crowd. And she found a pair of chocolate brown eyes peering at her from the other end of the gazebo. Regina just smiled, nodded her head and turned to leave. Emma finally woke up, apologized to Killian and followed the beautiful brunette.
"Regina, wait." Emma said loudly, barely keeping up in her uncomfortable shoes and missing her usual outfit, pants, boots and red jacket. She was uncomfortable in a white dress.
The brunette stood still after a moment, but she did not turn towards her, so Emma overtook her and stood in front of her.
"Miss Swan." Regina greeted her coolly.
"Miss Swan?" Emma huffed. "Since when are we going back to Miss Swan?"
"Excuse me, it should be Mrs. Jones."
"Cut the crap, Gina." Emma said angrily, watching the brunette's impassive face. "You won't stay?"
"I'm not into watching weddings and cutting a cake and talking to your mother about my love life. Congratulations. I'd better go."
Regina tried to walk past her, but Emma held her hand. And she let go suddenly, feeling a familiar shiver. The Queen sighed impatiently.
"What this time?"
"Will you meet me tomorrow for dinner at Granny's?" She said quickly, trying to get Regina's attention. The brunette raised her eyebrows.
"Tomorrow? Aren't you going to the high seas with Handless Wonder to celebrate your honeymoon?" Emma sensed a slight bitterness and irritation in Regina's tone, as she always did when she talked about Hook and their relationship.
"I wanted to talk about Henry. He's been acting weird lately... And since we're not fighting fairies and curses anymore, maybe it's time... you know..." Emma blushed.
"Time for what?" Regina urged.
"To be a little more like a family?" She said shyly, looking down.
"I don't think Captain Guyliner was too keen on this idea, Miss Swan. I think by marrying you he meant creating a family with you, not me." Regina replied calmly.
"Killian has nothing to do with it." Emma corrected.
"Really?" Regina doubted as she moved away from Savior and disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke.
"There you are, my love. Come inside. Your mom wanted to give a speech and the cake has already arrived." Hook appeared right next to her, but she didn't move from where Regina had just disappeared. "Did the Evil Queen do something to you?" Killian asked quickly, putting his arm around her and directing her towards the guests by force.
"No." Emma said with a sigh, unable to hide her disappointment.
It took several days for Emma to free herself from Killian's grip and their bed before she dared to contact Regina. She also wanted to see her son, who was now living with his other mother. So she snuck out of their new home as soon as she woke up to avoid her husband, who didn't like the prospect of her meeting Regina. Emma didn't know why the man was so possessive when it came to contacts with the mayor.
"Ma!" Henry grinned at her and she immediately smiled back. They met at the port.
"Hi kid." She hugged him and they went for a walk. "So... how is everything?"
Henry shrugged indifferently.
"Fine."
"You're not very talkative for a writer," Emma joked.
Henry sighed and Emma looked at her son carefully. Once again wondering where the time had gone when she saw the light stubble and that he was as tall as her. "What's going on?"
"Mom." Henry replied curtly. "She thinks I don't see it, but she's unhappy." Henry continued, and Emma felt sick to her stomach. She had never felt as connected to anyone as she did to Regina. She could tell when she was lying, when she closed herself off from others, and when she used sarcasm to scare people away when someone wanted to know how she felt. How could she not notice that Regina was unhappy?
"She lost Robin..." Emma murmured, still feeling a pang of jealousy at the thought of the man.
"It's not that, Ma." Henry replied quickly. "She was sad then, but now... she's worse now... she pretends everything is fine, she goes to the office, she cooks for me, but... she used to have a purpose... now she seems to not care.. As if she had lost hope." Henry hung his head.
Emma listened in horror. Regina was one of the most sober-minded people with strong mental resilience. What Henry was describing didn't sound like a former Queen.
"Do you think it's because we didn't complete our mission to bring her a happy ending?" Emma asked slowly.
"I don't know." Henry hesitated. "Ma, could you talk to her? I know you have Killian now and started a family, but..."
"You are my family too, you and your other mother." Emma interjected quickly, squeezing Henry's arm.
"I know, Ma." Henry smiled but then darkened. "But you just got married, the city is quiet, and you'll probably want a second child." Emma sensed no jealousy or accusation in her son's tone, but she realized what her marriage might look like from the perspective of those close to her, and the prospect of having a child with Killian made her... uneasy. She liked being co-parent but with Regina, who was stable, composed yet strict and consistent. Looking at her son, Emma felt that she wouldn't want to have a child with anyone other than her... friend?
"I don't think your mother wants to talk to me, but I'll try." Emma said slowly.
"Thanks, Ma." Henry was glad, they were already at Granny's. "It's really important to me that you two continue to be friends, especially when I..." But he stammered, blushed, and stopped speaking. Emma raised her eyebrows.
"What's up kid?"
"I think we're about to find out. Both. Shall we?" Regina suddenly appeared next to them, staring at Henry and ignoring Emma completely, who felt a surge of anger and disappointment. She opened the door to the bar and waited for her two favorite people to walk in.
They took a seat in the booth and Emma sat across from Regina. Henry went to order breakfast and Emma tried to make eye contact with the brunette, but she ignored her, staring at the wall behind Savior.
"Do I have something on my face that you can't look at me?" she asked irritably, unable to bear being ignored.
"You look like you got out of bed after a few days, your lips are swollen and there are hickeys on your neck." Regina replied without expression. Emma immediately got up and went to the bathroom. She checked herself in the mirror, and though Regina's comment was exaggerated, she found that just by looking at her, she had had sex all week. She silently cursed the pirate and his indomitable appetite. And her stupidity to let him. She knew she'd only let herself be trapped in that bed out of guilt. It wasn't Kilian's fault that Emma knew on the first night of her wedding that she had made a mistake.
She returned to the table, slightly flushed, but Regina still refused to pay attention to her. Henry was eating pancakes with relish, drinking cocoa with cinnamon.
"What did you want to tell us?" Emma asked, looking at her son and waiting for her burger. Regina settled for coffee. Emma already knew the mayor's habits a bit, and it didn't surprise her that she hadn't eaten breakfast.
Henry swallowed his pancakes and looked at his mothers.
"Well... you know I'm graduating soon..." They both nodded. Henry blushed and gathered himself together, he said. "I want to leave Storybrooke."
Emma slowly processed the information, and Regina nodded.
"Yes, we talked about college in Boston. Do you want to leave before the holidays? We can look for an apartment or ask about a dormitory." She spoke matter-of-factly, and Savior admired her composure, for she herself had not quite gotten used to the idea of Henry leaving. It was true that they were talking about Boston, but she sensed that the boy meant something else.
"I'm not talking about college." Henry cleared his throat and blushed even more. "I want to go through a portal and explore other worlds."
The cup broke as Regina set it down a little too hard on the saucer with a trembling hand. Emma looked at her anxiously, and this time the brunette looked at her, Emma saw the pain in her eyes. However, she quickly masked them and cleaned up the spilled coffee with her hand.
"Other worlds?" Emma asked, turning to Henry.
"Yes, Ma." Henry replied in a firmer tone this time. "I'm a writer and I need inspiration. I hear about Grandpa and Grandma's adventures all the time. You guys were always fighting evil and curses. I'd like to experience a trial too... just mine..." Emma felt that Henry had been preparing for this conversation for a long time. Seeing Regina's shocked expression, she thought that she too had noticed that Henry had made his decision, regardless of their reactions.
"Henry..." Regina began.
"I know what you want to say, Mom. Yes, I've thought about it. I want to explore other worlds and write stories. I want to experience something. I know you want to protect me, that you're worried, but I feel it's time for me to go my own way."
"Why are you so mature?" Emma murmured.
"He certainly didn't inherit it from you, you were in a cell at his age." Regina scoffed.
"You don't need to take your anger out on me. The kid just grew up." Emma bit back, explained and apologized many times for her past.
"Moms." Henry said loudly as the women stared at each other. "It's my decision. I'm leaving in a month. I'd like to spend some time with you guys. I thought we could have lunch or dinner together every day?"
"Henry, I don't think Miss Swan could be here every night, considering she's married." Regina said it in such a tone that Emma immediately sensed an argument.
"What's that supposed to mean, Regina?"
"The pirate won't be pleased with our evenings together." Regina said slowly, crossing her arms over her chest.
"If you think..."
"Moms!" Henry interrupted them. "I want you two to stick together while I'm gone, okay? You two can be friends, I've seen it."
"I'll be here every night at 7 p.m. waiting for you." Emma said, emphasizing every word and looking at the obnoxious brunette whose beauty was something else. Probably, if not for the nickname Evil Queen, she would have a flock of admirers with her.
Emma got up, said goodbye to them, and left.
She went straight to work, David sat at the station and smiled warmly at Emma.
"Killian was looking for you." He said to his daughter and Emma cringed internally.
"Where is it now?"
"Here, my love." Hook came around the bend carrying two mugs of coffee. He immediately walked over to Emma and kissed her on the lips.
"Can you do it out of my sight? She's my daughter." David said grimly and Emma blushed.
"It's love, Dad." Killian said theatrically.
"It's David for you." The man gritted his teeth and threw his jacket over himself. "I'm going on patrol."
"You can stay and nothing happens anyway." Emma shrugged, hoping her father would stay and she wouldn't have to be alone with her husband.
But David looked at Hook with distaste and said:
"I'm going. Regina's probably having trouble with Jefferson again. He's been pestering her at work lately."
Emma was immediately interested.
"Regina can defend herself." She said.
"Oh yeah, I'm just going there to make sure she doesn't lose her patience."
"I wouldn't want to be Jefferson when that happens." Hook joked, wrapping his arm around Emma and pulling her to him.
"Regina isn't like that anymore and she's very self-possessed." Emma snapped at him.
"Evil cannot be eradicated. There is always something left." Hook said.
"You too?" The blonde said hostilely.
"Easy there my love." Killian said, lowering his voice slightly. David watched them with a strange expression, finally said goodbye and left. As soon as they were alone, the pirate almost pounced on her, and Emma smelled the rum.
"Killian... not here, I'm at work."
"You are the Savior, the whole city owes you and they should pay more taxes if they want you to be their sheriff."
He pointed out.
"Not now Killian, I think I'm gonna go and help dad." Emma said quickly, moving away from him and grabbing her cup of coffee. "Thanks for the coffee. See you later." And she left before he could react.
She hurried to the mayor's building and found her father trying to stop Jefferson from throwing himself at Regina.
"It's her fault!" The man screamed. "AFTER all the curses, my daughter doesn't remember me!"
"I already told you that in this world I don't have the ingredients to make a memory potion." Regina said calmly. She flinched when she felt Emma's presence behind her, but only glanced briefly at the blonde and looked in the direction of the brawler.
"Very convenient! After all those curses, you must have amassed more dark magic than the Dark One himself!"
Regina clenched her fists.
"Oh! I can see the anger! The Evil Queen wants to get out! Come on! Show the city what you're made of! Maybe if you curse everyone again, I'll get my daughter back!" There was madness in Jefferson's eyes, and Emma immediately thought of it as his version in Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter.
"Maybe that's why your daughter avoids you." Regina said angrily. Seeing her white knuckles, Emma immediately grabbed her hand for comfort and immediately felt the familiar sparks. The mayor looked at her. Just like her father.
"Was it magic?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Why don't you go back to your duties and get this troublemaker out of my office so I can get back to my work as well?" She said tartly as she freed her hand from Emma's and the Savior sighed in disappointment at the lack of contact.
David stared at them strangely, but finally restrained Jefferson, who was now laughing madly until he cried, and pushed him into the police car. Emma turned to Regina.
"Can we talk?"
"I'm busy Miss Swan." Regina returned to her office, nearly closing the door in Emma's face, but Emma was quicker and followed the mayor into her office. Her eyes involuntarily scanned the brunette's attractive profile.
"You will find a moment." The Savior said hastily. "And stop the Miss Swan thing. We used to call each other by the name, Gina."
"It's long gone." Regina replied, scanning some documents spread out on the desk.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"Like you, I'm not a great conversationalist. But if you need to talk, go to your mother." Regina said dryly.
"Stop building walls, Gina. We know each other too well."
"Do we?" Regina said without taking her eyes off the papers.
"I know you don't like Henry's decision." Emma started.
"You're subtle like your father, maybe you should spend more time with your mother?"
"I'm going to miss him too, Gina. You're not alone." Emma said warmly, sitting across from the brunette, who was concentrating on the papers though her eyes were fixed on one point.
"But I am alone, Mrs. Jones. But don't worry about me. I'll survive as always."
"Gina, please. Don't shut me out." Emma begged.
"It's the only way."
"For what?"
"Leave me the hell alone." The queen looked up, glared at Emma, and though the rest of the people would have run away at the sight, Emma knew it was just the brunette's defense mechanism.
"I don't think so." she said lightly. "You know I'm stubborn."
"You got that from your mother." Regina murmured.
"Well...Henry..." Emma continued, but it bothered her that the mayor wasn't looking at her. She had been treating her like a leper since Killian proposed, and the blonde thought it must have been painful for Regina to see her happy when she lost her true love.
Regina didn't say anything.
"He grew up fast, didn't he?" Emma chuckled. "He just found me on my birthday and brought me here and now he's the same age as I was when I gave birth to him...he's feisty and brave don't you think?"
Regina was still silent so Emma continued.
"He's got my appetite, but it's because of you that he doesn't eat like a pig."
The corners of Regina's mouth twitched.
"To the point, Emma. I don't have all day."
"We are a good team. Our son is ready to live his own life, and that's what being a parent is all about." Emma said.
"You talk like your mother too." Regina concluded. "But I appreciate the effort."
"You know you can count on me, right? I'm your family, just like Henry." Emma said standing up.
Regina was silent.
"Swan?" She called her right at the door, the blonde turned around, this time chocolate eyes staring directly at her and a shiver ran down the woman's neck. "Thanks."
Emma smiled and left.
This time her mother was waiting for her at the station.
"Emma, baby!" She hugged her tightly and watched
She hugged her tightly, then pulled away and examined Emma carefully.
"Did you lose weight, why? After marrying your father, I was beaming! And what are you doing at work, we didn't leave the bedroom for a month after the wedding."
"Please spare me the details." Emma winced.
"Sit down, sit down. I brought you dinner. Your father came home and said that Regina had some problems at the office. You stayed with her. How did it go?"
Emma sat down and hastily opened a box of burgers and fries.
"Conflict averted, but not for long, I'm afraid."
"I meant how did Regina react to Henry's decision?"
Emma stopped swallowing and licked her fingers.
"Wait... you already know?"
"We knew first. Henry talked to David about the magic bean a few weeks ago."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Emma asked in disbelief.
"Honey, there's been so much going on. You've been busy planning your wedding, remember?" Snow said with a slightly worried voice.
Emma nodded slowly.
"How's Killian? Are you okay?" Snow asked carefully.
"It's ok," Emma said without enthusiasm.
Snow was silent as she watched her daughter eat her dinner.
"Does this have anything to do with the magic between you and Regina?" Snow asked softly and Emma choked.
"It was just a spark, it's normal." Emma said casually, focusing back on her food. "We both have opposing magics, so it's probably some kind of friction or whatever."
Snow nodded silently, watching her daughter.
"How do you feel about Henry's decision?" Her mother asked after a long moment when Emma had finished her meal.
"I'm a little worried about it, but the kid's got the hang of it. He'll be fine."
"I think so too. Henry is a true believer and an author, and he has wonderful mothers who raised him well."
"Most of it is Regina's credit." Emma smiled.
Snow nodded.
"Regina is good with children, although given our history, that's probably too much praise."
"You were a special child, Mom... with a long tongue." Emma grinned and Snow smiled.
"Speaking of children... are you planning any? Hook told your father he was going to get you pregnant. David didn't take it well... Killian could be a little less blunt sometimes." Snow said with a grimace.
"We agree here." Emma replied, feeling irritation rising in her. "I'm not planning any right now."
"Are you sure everything's okay between you two?" Snow squeezed Emma's hand lightly.
Emma didn't have time to answer because the phone rang. She picked it up hastily.
"Ma!" Henry spoke loudly into the phone. "It's good that I found you." He spoke quickly.
"Breathe kid, what's going on?" Emma was now alerted, she hurriedly put on her jacket with the phone to her ear. Mary Margaret looked at her with concern, but Emma pointed out that she could leave without waiting for her.
"It's Jefferson. The guy is crazy! He's outside our house throwing rocks at the windows.
"Where's your other mother? She's got magic, she can turn him into a bat or something..."
"Mom isn't here."
"Then where is she? Are you there alone?" Emma quickly ran down the stairs and got into the car, immediately exceeding the speed limit.
"Yes, hurry up Ma."
"You want to travel in the Enchanted Forest where trolls live." Emma huffed as she nearly reached her destination.
"Yes, but there's a sheriff in Storybrooke." Henry replied grimly.
"I'm coming." Emma said and hung up.
She immediately saw Jefferson dancing with several hats on his head outside the mayor's house. He had a whole bucket of rocks, eggs, apples and paint.
"Hey you! You must have been warned! Stay away from the mayor or her house!" Emma screamed as she approached him, she did not expect the man to throw some powder at her. She stayed where she was, wiping it off her face. The Hatter laughed, jumping wildly.
"Okay buddy, get in the car. You're under arrest. Maybe if you spend the night behind bars you'll cool down a bit."
Jefferson laughed louder and, to Emma's surprise, got into the car without a word. The blonde showed her thumbs to Henry who was standing in the window and drove off to the station.
She locked the man behind bars, filled out the paperwork, and said it was time to go home as it was almost 10pm. She had seen several missed calls from Hook but had no desire to call back. She wondered where Regina could be and if she should check on her.
"Why don't you help me, Savior?" Jefferson said, throwing himself against the cell bars as Emma was about to leave.
"Sure, mate. See you in the morning."
"Wait!" Jefferson shouted urgently. "Evil Queen is still evil. That ingredient she was talking about..." Suddenly Emma stopped, listening. "She created a potion of oblivion. That's why I can't get my daughter back!"
Emma was quiet, wondering.
"Why does Regina need a potion of oblivion?" she asked.
"To forget what the dust showed!" Jefferson said it like it was obvious.
"You are a looner." Emma shook her head. "I do not know what you're talking about."
"Then ask Tinkerbell." Jefferson said. "You can also..." Emma was curious as Jefferson paused, looking mockingly at her. "You can also... it's even funny... say "show" and follow the streak." Yes, say "show me", "SHOW ME", hahahahha" And he started laughing as he composed the rhymes."
Emma shook her head angrily at herself for wasting her time on this maniac.
She left to lock the precinct.
"Heh.. show me... what was he thinking." Emma grunted, but as soon as she said the word, a streak of green dust appeared in front of her. Dust glistened on her hands and jacket. "That fool sprinkled it on me." She growled angrily, trying to brush off the dust, but it didn't change the fact that the streak was still there. Emma felt her phone vibrate in her pocket and thought about going home, and then she took the more tempting option.
She followed the dust to find out what the hell the Hatter was talking about.
She walked towards the border of the buildings and then along the path to the forest where she turned on the flashlight. She looked around carefully, looking for lurking dangers. And further into the forest. Until she stopped in a small clearing, dust swirled around the trunk of a tall tree that was indistinguishable from the others. Emma impulsively walked over to the tree and started touching the trunk. She found a hole with a small indentation and felt a silk bag. With curiosity, she took it and in the light of the flashlight reached inside, pulling out ... the heart.
A heart that pulsed black and red.
"I'd advise putting it back, Miss Swan." There was a voice behind her, and she turned to see Regina, who had appeared out of nowhere still in her Mayor's dapper outfit.
"Regina? Is that yours?" Emma asked.
"Why are you asking obvious questions..." Regina sighed, walking over to her and pulling the heart out of Emma's hand, putting it in the bag and placing it back in the trunk. "I trust you won't tell anyone where my heart is."
"You know I will not. The only question is why is it not in the right place?" The Savior asked, carefully watching her friend.
Regina murmured something, blushing slightly.
"I can't hear you, can you repeat?"
"I don't know, I don't remember, okay?" The queen looked at Emma in frustration.
"The Mad Hatter said you drank a potion of oblivion... why?"
"Probably to forget something, Miss Swan." Regina huffed.
"I guess it works." Emma grinned. Though she didn't admit it out loud, she liked to banter with the brunette. "Will you go for a drink with me?" she asked suddenly.
"It's almost midnight, Miss Swan. Are you sure you shouldn't be home with your husband?"
"Why is everyone telling me what I should do?" Emma brushed her long blonde hair as Regina watched her every move.
"Ok." Regina said, walked over to Emma, grabbed her hand, and teleported them to the only bar in Storybrooke.
"You should add more bars when casting a curse." Emma noticed as they entered the crowded pub.
"For Leroy?" Regina scoffed when they saw the bald man sitting at the bar. "Most of the women here are princesses, they don't go to bars. Except for the frustrated ones." She added looking at Emma, who was ordering a beer.
"I'm not frustrated." The Savior bristled as she took a sip of beer.
"Clearly." Regina doubted as she took her drink, which was apple cider, and followed Emma to a table in a dark corner.
"What do you know about it? You don't even have a heart." Emma said, angry for who knows what.
"Usually it's you who tell me to control my temper." Regina spoke calmly as she sipped her drink and watched the faint sparks of magic around Emma. "Blow out why you're mad before you burn down the only bar in my town."
Emma was silent. She turned the beer over in her hands, not knowing what to say.
"I am an idiot." She said finally.
"Yes, we've established that before." Regina confirmed. "Now tell me on what point."
"I have made a mistake." She stammered, not really knowing what she wanted to say. How was she supposed to put it into words, since she didn't quite know what she felt, in addition, sitting in front of the person she was the cause of her dilemmas, and at the same time the only one she knew that she could tell her everything?
"Sorry Miss Swan, but I'm a little lost here."
"I shouldn't have gotten married...it was happening so fast..." Emma spoke hurriedly, throwing away what was weighing her down. "Journey to the afterlife, Hades, then the Black Fairy..." She spoke intermittently as she sipped her beer. "And Killian, who gave his life for me as the Dark One, I felt I had to repay the favor somehow."
"Guilt or debt is not a good reason for marriage." Regina said quietly, watching the blonde. "You know I despise Hook, but I really thought you guys were happy."
"Only recently have I begun to realize certain...facts." Emma spoke casually, but the mayor only nodded, feeling that the sheriff had said enough.
They spent the rest of the evening in silence, and the blonde was grateful for that. Sitting next to the brunette, she felt... comfortable... like at home... More and more things appealed to her, their common past from the moment of their acquaintance to the present moment returned.
They didn't have to say much, but they sensed their emotions. In addition, the physical attraction was almost palpable ... Emma admired the brunette's beautiful face and her sensual lips, and constantly sipped beer, so as not to attract Regina and kiss her.
The mayor noticed her gaze and sighed slightly annoyed, looking away and crossing her legs.
"I didn't ask you how you got into the woods in the first place." Regina said as she finished her drink.
"By Jefferson." Emma replied. "He sprinkled some dust on me and told me to follow him."
"Jefferson?" Regina asked, straightening up in her chair. "I don't understand."
"Neither did I... Henry called me to get Jefferson out of your house, when I arrived this lunatic threw something at me and I took him to the station."
"What about Henry? Is he okay?"
"Yes. But... where have you been tonight?" Emma asked curiously, but suddenly she felt someone's presence behind her, Hook approached them unexpectedly and Emma saw Regina's face become an expressionless mask. Hook placed a hand on her shoulder and bent down to kiss her, but she turned her face away and his lips landed on her cheek. She felt embarrassed by these expressions of affection in the presence of the brunette, who seemed to feel the same way.
"Here you are my love. I've been looking for you everywhere." Killian said. "Who would have thought I'd find you in a bar with the Evil Queen." He spoke meaningfully, emphasizing the last words. Regina Scoffed.
"Killian, please." Emma said softly.
"I'm just worried about you in a company like this." Hook said mockingly, putting his arm around Emma, but she pulled away from him.
"Regina is the mother of my son, if I entrust my child to her, it means that I trust her." Emma said looking worriedly at Regina, who clearly felt discomfort.
"I'm not talking about young Henry, I'm talking about you, my love."
"Emma is capable of taking care of herself. She wields magic and can certainly defend herself better than with a one-armed pirate by her side." Regina growled.
"But... she chose me as her husband, apparently she needs a man." Killian smirked bostfully.
"I am sorry, Emma. I can't take it anymore. Thanks for the drink. Good night." Regina rose gracefully and left.
Emma was furious and humiliated.
"Why do you always act like an idiot when Regina's around?" Emma gritted her teeth, suddenly not wanting the rest of her drink. She got up and left the bar, Hook hurried after her.
"Swan! Swan! Wait!" He shouted after her and finally caught up with her. "Emma, wait." He grabbed her hand, stopping her in place. "I'm sorry, ok? I just don't like you hanging out with her."
"Get used to it because Regina is Henry's mother. And I'll be spending time with her!" Emma snapped at him.
"All right, my love... come on, I'll make it up to you..." Killian moved closer to her, kissing her neck and Emma, under the influence of alcohol, allowed him, although in front of her eyes she saw a shapely figure of a certain brunette instead of her husband.
"Fuck..." She cursed under her breath. Hook chuckled thinking it was a sign of excitement.
He hurriedly led her to their house, closing the door.
