"YES!"Marina said doing a little hop..

"Cool, let's roll out!"Grans said..

"Wait, did you see her..What she say, how'd she look?"I asked looking down..

Eyes of Charice:

I walked Marina to the room with KC and her daughter Ziggy who Josh wanted to be the ring bearer in memory of Jordenn where she would hold his picture in one hand and the ring in the other..I made my way into the main Cathedral to grab a seat because it was 15 minutes out side of time for everything to begin..I sat in the front when not too long shortly after I was greeted by Kai's mother..I said I would keep the peace for the sake of the wedding but honestly I didn't like her..Never cared for her and this is stemming from way back when.She came off like she was just here because of Kai but she couldn't stand being around us peasants.. and that shit just didn't sit well with me!I wasn't for any stuck up antics today..See I knew her from back in the day..My best friend Shelia was really close with Karroll's sister, Lilian Sharps.It's kind of weird because her family was cool, she was just that one out the bunch.She'd always to me, in my eyes had her nose stuck up in the air!"Do you mind if I sit here for a second?"She asked and all I could think to myself wasIf you had showed up to any of the rehearsals then you'd know that right front side is where you sit..But since only your husband came you DON'T!I just gazed up her way.."This will only be a second then I'll go back to my section."I nodded."Oookay.."She said as I looked over at her..It blew my mind that she came off utterly confused as to why I kept a cold shoulder towards her.From her husband getting my sons killed on down I just felt like you should be so happy I didn't beat you to a pulp by now bitch."Kai, looked so beautiful!I'm sure Josh looks dapper?"

"Mmmm.."I said shaking my head.."Look-uh-here.. there's no reason for the fake shit, I'm only keeping my composure because I love my grandson and your daughter grew a special place in my heart.."I said talking in her side ear with a fake smile.."You didn't come to any rehearsals and to be honest I don't know why you're even here..But best.."

I was interrupted by Jonesy's mom Chrissy.."It's about to start Kai asked if you could hold her vows?"I looked up nodding..

"Of course!"I said grabbing them watching her go to her seat as I continued.."Just be happy for them, don't bring none of that SHIT up in here.."

Karroll laughed.."Though I feel as if this is way too early for Kai to get married I am happy for my child as well as your grandson."She said nodding.I rolled my eyes."Seriously. Look I even put on my good wig."She said lifting up the elastic band smiling..And it was hard for me not to crack a smile shortly after.."Look I just came to apologize, I know I have my stubborn stuck up ways.. which is why me and my sister still don't talk to this day!But it seems like this is a lifetime journey and for that I will keep peace and accept what I can not change.Your grandson is what my daughter feels is the man for her..Who am I to put out that flame?I simply would be devastated if someone told me I couldn't love Kevin the way I do.."I gave her a sideways smirk.In her own little bougie way I guess that was as good as it would get and I could respect her efforts..I took a deep breath standing..I reached out to give her a hug and as we hugged.."But if Joshua was to ever hurt her.."She said rubbing my back.

"You seem to be waay too comfortable with the fact that I'm even allowing you to stand here without my foot being all the way down your throat!Don't talk slick, you must have forgotten what involvements your husband and you had with my children.. Now be a good girl and go sit down, let's not try Charice today, Okay.."I whispered back with a unsettling smile as she huffed, walking off to her seat..

Eyes of Kai:

I felt better then I did earlier but I could still feel those heavy knots in the pit of my stomach..Taylor had already left out because it was cutting down for time to walk down the aisle.."KNOCK, KNOCK! baby girl, you ready?"My father said coming in..

I nodded.."As ready as I will be."

He smiled moving the pin curl that hung over my eye.."No you're as ready as you are.."He smelled me then stepped back laughing.."Seems like you started the party early!"He said lifting his left eyebrow..

I giggled then shrugged.."I was just trying to ease some tension.."

He smiled nodding.."Understood.."

"Your wife came back here driving me bonkers!"I said holding my dress..

"I figured, I told her to go sit and behave.."He smiled holding out his arm.."You ready baby girl?"

I nodded taking his arm as we headed out..

Eyes of Author:

Josh stud at the alter with his heart beating right out of his chest as Jonesy and Quan stud at his side behind him..Opposite of them was Taylor and Kevin Jr.In the middle was Pastor Fleming's..Eric Benet and Tamia Spend My Life Began to play while Marina threw roses for their feet awaiting Kevin to walk Kai down the aisle..Joshua almost went straight into tears seeing his daughter come down the isle tossing the flowers so elegantly..He never thought after Melissa he could ever be in this type of predicament.He never thought he'd be blessed with someone who would love him so much and love Marina just as much even not even more..

The Cathedral fell silent as the song softly switched to Kenny Lattimore- For You..Joshua swallow the lump in his heart as the beats grew fast and slow all in one..In came Kai with her father.Kai was so nervous she didn't know how to contain herself..Everyone was in awe of how beautiful she looked in her wedding dress.One by one Kai and her father walked down the aisle hand in hand and Kevin couldn't be more happy for his daughter..Though he had secrets he felt like he would just burry them for his child..Kai in the other hand felt like everything was moving slow and was ready to get to Joshua..Kai turned to her father half way down the isle.."I'm good pops, I got this!"

Some looked at Kai strange shaking there heads , others laughing..Kevin just shook his head."Baby girl that's not how this works I have to walk you all the way and give you away.."He said chuckling as Kai rolled her eyes..

"Hhhhhuh! Fine can we speed it UP!"Kai said as Joshua put his head down trying not to laugh thinking to himself I'm marrying this crazo..What seemed like forever was worth it all as Kai finally got close enough to Joshua and seen him face to face..She slapped the pastor on his back side.."Let's DO THIS JOHNNY!"

The preacher cleared his throat as Joshua shook his head trying not to laugh.."Do you give this woman away to be married?"Pastor Fleming's asked Kai's father..

Kai's father turned to her and stared long at hard at his baby girl who has now blossomed into a sophisticated Queen trying to fight off tears seeing her as little Kai playing with the green guys.."I do"He said nodding Pastor Fleming's way.

Josh's nerves were on an all time high as Kevin turned nodding his way giving him the look of I'm trusting you with my daughter..

At this point it was time for the vows..Josh went first..He took a deep breath holding Kai's hand and looking at her sternly.."I mean since you have no choice but to listen to me now I can finally say what I always been meaning to tell you ma.."Kai squinted trying to figure what Joshua was getting at.."So there was this one episode of  Bernie Mac.."Everyone sighed they were sick of him with this damn Bernie Mac, Marina threw her little hands up and Kai just gave a side way smile..She figured if he wanted to say this during their vows ceremony it had to be special!He better hoped it was..She just nodded for him to continue holding his hand a little tighter..He laughed."Na just listen..This episode Bernie and Wanda had been in bad terms and goin' at it heavy right, cause Wanda wanted a baby and Bernie was on some we agreed we didn't want kids and we already have my sisters kids type shit..They beefed mad hard but at the end of the episode they didn't go to sleep mad at each other..They talked it out and by the next ep she was back droppin' it like it's hot for Bernie..My point being is that I neva' knew how to work out nun like that.. when I dead a situation that be that..I wanted to always have something that no matter what we neva' went to sleep mad at each other..So I vow that no matta' what this journey bring since the day I seen you an got the pleasure of re-meeting you at Arlos I knew you were the one that no matter how bad I ticked you off before we laid our heads down we would neva' go to bed mad at one another..I vow to find a way to make you smile every morning..I vow that my heart belongs to you shorty..I just know that the rest of me and Marinas day can't seem as bright without..I just know I couldn't live without you.."Josh stopped trying to fight off waterworks.."I was looking for that all my life the here you came like a thief in the night."

Kai looked up into her soon to be husbands eyes more in love then she had ever been..She was so glad that she had prolonged that moment of listening to the episode..She began to speak..She had vows written but she decided against it and to just speak from the heart..She didn't wanna sound rehearsed.."I guess this is the part where I give me vows."She said as there were light giggles and she cleared her throat..Before Charice could give Kai her vows Kai spoke.."It's okay Charice I'd much rather speak from my heart.."Charice smiles and nodded sitting back down.."There are choices in life..You can go left or right.There's the right way and there's also the wrong way..I'm not sure which way I'm on, I'm not sure where me and you may go from this day forward."She said as they stared at one another with a flame that was burning far more then ever before..Kai wiped her eyes and continued.."The future in things are unpredictable but if you're by my side I'm okay with unpredictable.. yet in this moment there are many choices.And being here with you was my choice.As long as God will allow me to be by your side I realized one thing and one thing only..That no matter what may happen as long as you and Marina are by my side I choose happiness, longevity and a lifetime of being in love with you is choosing happiness.."The room fell silent and hearts were heavy.Joshua knew out of all the decisions he could have ever made or have made in his life this one was the best.This one had trumped the rest.

"Do you Joshua take Kai to be your wife for richer or poor, through sickness and health, for better or worse to love and to cherish, to have and to hold..Till death do you part..?"

"I do.."Joshua said looking up at Kai only to picture what there life's and kids would be like..

"Do you Kai take Joshua to be your husband for richer or poor,Through sickness and health, for better or worse,To love and to cherish, to have and to hold,Till death do you part?"

"I do.."Kai said not believing this moment..

"You may exchange rings.."Pastor Fleming's said as they did so.."I now pronounce you husband and wife.. Mr. and Mrs. Longpacker everyone..You may kiss the bride!"

Joshua pulled Kai closely kissing her like he'd never get this chance again.."I told you you'd be my wife one day nerd.."He whispered in Kai's ear as she smirked nudging him..

At the ReceptionA hundred million shots of Tequila, Henny, Crown, Wine and Champagne Later at the toast:

Jonesy stud up staggering to give a toast hitting the glass so hard he broke it.."Ooh SHIT! Clean up on isle Henny!Alright, alright, alright settle down niggas it's time fa' me to say some ol' sentimental type shit.."

Josh shook his head sitting at the table holding his wife's hand.."AYO Jones you good B.. no need fa allat.."

"What, what.. who said that! This ain't about you nigga, this about the best man!"He said pointing at Quan..Everyone just laughed shaking their heads..

"Just let him be him babe.."Kai whispered in her ear as Josh threw up his hands..

"Fine Ga'head.."Josh said shooing off Jonesy..

"Damn thank you! Always tryna still the shine, this man Cryshua be CRAZY..Anywho man Quan you my boy!I'm glad you married Tay Tay an allat.. she got mad yammy yams!Just like KC.."He said slapping her real hard on the ass..

"Boy SITCHA DRUNK AS DOWN!"KC said laughing.."This Josh and Kai's wedding FOOL!"

Jonesy opened his eyes more stepping back.."Huh wow, this nigga really selfish.. you would have your wedding onna same day as Quan.."

Quan stud up putting his arm around Jonseys shoulder.."My mans is a lil' slizzy, shit I think we all are.. But I guess what he's tryna say is.. You our mans, much love and happiness to you and the misses.. We all seen he was on at that day at Arlos.. Kai you stud the test of times with this clown!May ya's days be filled with all the good stuff that's posta be there and allat, allat!"

After the bouquet was thrown and Marinas little but caught it..Everyone was out on the dance floor drunk dancing to Mystikal Shake Ya Ass..Kai snuck off to the back room..She text Josh when she got back there

Kai:Wyd

Joshua:Looking for you 👀 where u at nerd?

Kai:😂😂😂

Joshua:Why you playin' wit the kid?

Kai:I'm in the back room.

Joshua:🤦🏽‍♂️

Kai:😂😂😂 Boy I'm drunk 🥴, I'm your wife now and I'm half naked with my ass out in the back room of this reception hall Closet!Kai:Joshua come save me, please 😔

Joshua looked around to make sure no one noticed him dipping off..Joshua:I'm on my way, say no more!

End of Flashback:

"Eeeew wait so Kamden was a  closet baby?!"Kami said snickering as Kai smiled tucking her in..

"Don't say that about your brother.."Kai said buttoning her nose..

"Uncle Jonesy was sooo waisted!"Kami said tickled pink..

"Yes he was! And you're about to be waisted if you don't go to sleep you have school in the morning.."Kai said kissing Kami turning off the lamp and on the night lights..Before she could turn to leave Kami had one more thing to say..

"Mommy?"

Kai turned trying to hold on to the wall feeling faint from the twins that no one new she was carrying.."Yes ma'am?"

"Is it true, did you and daddy use to be drugs lords?"Kai's heart sunk below her feet..And her eyes widened full of fear..

"No baby girl that is ridiculous talk, where would you get something like that?"Kai said holding her heart..
