The next few concerts they had left couldn't be canceled. It broke the six boys' hearts to have to perform without Hoseok, but they had a responsibility. They could still perform, and their fans would want them to. They'd understand it if Hoseok wouldn't be there, but canceling the show was no option.

So for a few days, Hoseok was rather lonely.

He hadn't had much medication for the virus yet, as there were still a few tests that needed to be done before the doctors could make sure how to treat his failing liver. He only got painkillers for the pain in his stomach and side, the spot where his liver was.

The other members had had to take a few tests as well to make sure their livers weren't being attacked by a nasty little virus.

Hoseok had a private room. He enjoyed the fact that he had a lot of privacy, but he was a little sad that he couldn't make a hospital friend. In all the movies he'd seen, everyone always made hospital friends! Why couldn't he?

So at some point, he'd made a stupid decision.

"And...who are you?"

A boy who looked around eighteen years old sat in the hospital bed of the room Hoseok had snuck into. He was staring at Hoseok in confusion - which was only logical - and crossed his arms.

"This is a private room, you can't just walk in here like that."

Hoseok rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled goofily. "Hehe, I'm sorry. I was just- ehm...looking to make some hospital friends. You know, like they do in the movies?"

The boy still looked at Hoseok weirdly, so Hoseok moved forward, rolling the IV he was still attached to with him, and held his hand in front of the boy. "My name's Hoseok. You can call me Hobi, if you want."

The boy shook his hand, though a little unsure of the situation. It wasn't every day that a random guy would walk into his room, after all.

"I'm Jae." the boy replied.

"Nice to meet you, Jae!" Hoseok exclaimed with a happy grin.

Jae chuckled a little and tilted his head. "Y-Yeah, I guess? By the way, you look familiar. Have you been on tv before?"

Hoseok chuckled nervously. "Ehhm...yeah...I'm eh- I'm also known as J-Hope from BTS."

Jae's eyes widened a little and he looked Hoseok up and down, wondering if it was actually true.

"Woah, you're kidding me! Aren't you like, the best dancer ever?" He breathed out in awe. "What are you doing here in the hospital? You don't look like you've broken anything."

Hoseok shook his head. "I didn't. Got something else, but it's all fine. I'm strong, so I'll definitely get over this!"

Jae chuckled. "I bet you will. Now, what did you say about making friends like in the movies?"

Hoseok grinned and sat down on Jae's bed without even asking. "Well, I'm very glad you asked, Jae. You know how in movies where people are sick, they always end up making the best friend of their lives in the hospital?"

Hoseok started ranting about different movies he'd seen and all the cool things the friends did together. When he finally stopped his rant, Jae looked at him with a face that showed he was trying to stay focused, but it was almost impossible.

"C'mon, have you even been paying attention to what I've said?" Hoseok whined. "This is something we could learn from!"

"Yeah, I mean...sure, but, ehm...I think your band members are standing behind you." Jae said, telling him the reason why he had been unfocused.

Hoseok oh'ed and turned his head around to see that, indeed, his six friends were standing in the door opening.

"Hey guys!" he grinned. "This is Jae!"

"Jae?" Jimin asked, being the first to speak up. "Do you know him?"

"Not before," Hoseok grinned, "but now we're friends! Aren't we, Jae?"

Jae looked at Jimin with an apologetic smile, which was enough to tell Jimin that Jae hadn't had much of a say in this.

"Hyung, you're supposed to be in bed." Jimin said. "You should rest, and also, you're on painkillers."

"That explains the random ranting." Jae mumbled.

"I'm fine!" Hoseok grinned. "I'm not in pain, why can't I walk around for a bit? My legs were starting to get restless."

Jimin moved forward and took Hoseok by his arm. "You're supposed to get better, Hobi-hyung, not move too much. What if you faint again?"

Hoseok pouted, but he knew Jimin was right. Fun time was over.

"Alright...I'll go back to bed...bye Jae..."

He weakly waved at Jae, who smiled apologetically and waved back. Hoseok left the room, all the while being led by Jimin. The other five members had already made their way into his hospital room and were waiting there.

"Hyung, you really have to be more careful." Jimin sighed as they walked through the hallway. "We all know you're strong, but you're only human. If you're sick, you have to rest to get better. Painkillers won't do the job for you."

Hoseok sighed. "I know, Jiminie...I was just so lonely...why couldn't you guys hurry up and visit me?"

"You know we had tests to do too, and that our schedule hasn't been canceled." Jimin said, a sad smile making its way onto his face. "We still have the concerts to prepare for."

Hoseok looked down at that and that's when they walked into his room. He mumbled a few sorry's to his friends before sitting down on the side of his bed.

"How are you feeling, Hope-ah?" Namjoon asked.

"No pain..." Hoseok mumbled, his thoughts occupied by the fact that he wasn't going to join the members on the first bit of the tour.

"We're leaving for Japan in two days." Namjoon said. "Will you be alright?"

"Pfft," Hoseok huffed, "of course I will! I'll make sure to get better soon so I can join before you go to Singapore."

"Then promise us you'll stay in bed and listen to the doctors." Jimin said with a serious face.

Hoseok rolled his eyes and laughed. "I promise, Jiminie, don't worry too much about me~."

Hoseok felt a sting in his stomach and he sighed, because that probably meant the effect of the painkillers was wearing off. In a few minutes, his stomach would be back to hurting like hell.

"Guys, could someone get me more painkillers?" Hoseok asked, his voice strained by the stinging pain that seemed to grow by the second.

All the boys frowned and Taehyung looked around the room, wondering where the painkillers were.

"Hobi, didn't you have painkillers an hour ago?" Yoongi asked softly. All of them knew when and how many painkillers he was supposed to take. "They should still be working."

No, that wasn't true. They weren't working, and Hoseok knew it, because he felt like this was the most pain he'd felt in a while. He was certain the painkillers weren't working.

"Please, just get more." He brought out, putting an arm around his stomach. "It really hurts..."

"Where do you keep the pills?" Jin asked hurriedly, realizing he had to act fast. Hoseok seemed to be hurting a lot.

"I don't, the nurses...the- they have them..."

Jin didn't waste another second and immediately left the room to go find a nurse who could help their friend.

Jungkook and Taehyung sat down on either side of him, rubbing his back.

"Keep breathing, hyung." Taehyung said softly.

Hoseok winced in pain, trying to figure out what was going on. He'd had painkillers, and Yoongi was right, he'd only had them an hour ago. He was fine minutes ago! What was this virus doing to him?! It was even resisting the painkillers!

"Where is Jin-hyung..." Namjoon mumbled nervously, tapping his foot impatiently as he watched the open door in the hopes of Jin walking through it.

Hoseok felt the pain increase even more and he tried to focus on breathing, but it wasn't working. Why wasn't it working?!

"Maybe we should press the emergency button?" Jungkook asked, worried eyes watching as Hoseok squeezed his eyes shut in pain.

"That's for emergencies." Jimin said with a knowing look.

"Well, he's in a lot of pain, seems like an emergency to me." Jungkook frowned.

"An emergency would be if he passed out or something." Jimin said.

"But he's not fine!" Jungkook complained.

"Jin-hyung could be back at any moment." Jimin said, crossing his arms.

"Hyung, why are you being so difficult?" Jungkook whined.

"Guys, stop bickering, this is unnecessary." Namjoon sighed, turning away from the door and back to his friends. When he saw the look on Hoseok's face, however, he panicked.

"H-Hoseok!" he exclaimed, rushing to the three on the bed.

Jungkook and Taehyung realized by Namjoon's reaction that something had to be wrong - even more wrong than this situation already was - and they both looked at Hoseok's face too.

"O-Oh sh- he's too pale, is he gonna-?" Taehyung spoke, but before he could even finish his sentence, Hoseok collapsed in between him and Jungkook, falling to the bed.
