08:45, 25 September 2024As the plane ascended into the sky, Jisung stared out the window, lost in thought. It had been an incredible journey, traveling the world with his closest friends by his side. But now, reality was setting in as they made their way back to Korea.
Seungmin sat quietly beside him, also reflecting on the experiences they had shared in the past few weeks.
„Are you excited to go home, Sungie?" his best friend excitedly said, holding the elders hand. „I haven't been in Korea for a while, I'm so excited so see Innie after a long time."
Jisung smiled, sighing „I'm excited home, but I think being away from all my problems here in America was better.."
He couldn't help but smile at the memories that would forever be etched in his mind. A few rows ahead, Minho and Hyunjin were engrossed in conversation, their laughter filling the small cabin.
Despite their status as well-known idols, they were humble and down-to-earth, choosing to fly in economy class like any other passenger.
Jisung watched them with admiration, feeling grateful for their friendship and the bond they had formed over the while that felt like years. Despite their busy schedules and the demands of their careers, they made time for each other.
Jisung settled into his seat on the plane, the familiar hum of the engines lulling him into a sense of calm. With a grateful sigh, he reached into his bag and pulled out his laptop, the screen flickering to life as he powered it on.
Glancing over at Seungmin, who was gazing out the window with a content smile on his face, Jisung couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement at the prospect of finally having some time to write.
The book he had been working on for months had been put on hold during their whirlwind adventure, but now, with the familiar hum of the plane surrounding him, he felt inspired to pick up where he had left off.
As he began typing, the words flowed effortlessly from his fingertips, the characters and scenes coming to life on the screen before him.
He was lost in the world he had created, the outside world fading away as he delved deeper into his story.
Seungmin, sensing his friend's focus, kept a watchful eye on the aisle, occasionally glancing over at Jisung with a knowing smile.
They had always supported each other's passions, and seeing Jisung lost in his writing brought a sense of pride to Seungmin's heart.
As the hours passed and the plane continued its journey back to Korea, Jisung's fingers danced across the keyboard, the pages of his book filling up with each passing moment.
A sense of satisfaction washing over him as he finished writing Chapter 29 of his book. He tapped the 'Save' button on his laptop, ensuring that his latest creation was safely stored.
With a deep breath, he scrolled back up to the beginning of the chapter, eager to reread the words he had just poured onto the screen.
As he read through the pages, Jisung's heart raced with excitement. The clash between Prince Lee Minho and the formidable enemy, Hwang Hyunjin, played out vividly in his mind.
The tension and emotion he had infused into the scene leapt off the screen, drawing him deeper into the story.
With each passing moment, Jisung found himself lost in the world he had created, the characters he had breathed life into weaving a tale of bravery, sacrifice, and friendship.
He couldn't help but feel a sense of pride at the words he had crafted, the scene unfolding before him like a movie playing out in his imagination.
As Jisung sat engrossed in the chapter he had just written, his focus was suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice. Startled, he glanced up to see Hyunjin passing by, heading towards the plane's restroom.
But instead of continuing on his way, Hyunjin paused beside Jisung, his eyes drawn to the pages before him.
"You're a fanfic reader too? This book is legit good, Minho hyung was reading it," Hyunjin remarked, catching Jisung completely off guard. „I'm an enemy here!" Hyunjin sounded proud.
Jisung's heart skipped a beat as he processed Hyunjin's words. His mind raced, trying to comprehend how Hyunjin could know about the book he had poured his heart into. And even worser, how did Minho know about this book?
Jisung's heart skipped a beat as he processed Hyunjin's words. His mind raced, trying to come up with a plausible explanation. "Oh, uh, I was just... browsing," he stammered, gesturing vaguely at the book in front of him, clearly nervous.
Hyunjin's eyes sparkled with curiosity as he peered closer at the book cover, recognition dawning on his face. Jisung's stomach churned with nerves, unsure of how Hyunjin would react to the revelation that he was the author behind the story, but luckily, the elder had absolutely no clue.
But to Jisung's relief, Hyunjin's expression softened into a grin. "Wow, someone has good taste," he remarked, before continuing on his way, giggling. „Now if you excuse me, I'm really close to pissing myself."
As Hyunjin disappeared down the aisle, Jisung let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. Relief washed over him, mingled with a sense of amusement at his own close call.
And as he returned his attention to the pages before him, Jisung couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of determination to continue pursuing his passion for writing, even if it meant navigating through unexpected encounters like this one.
„So you're really living the 'your name' fanfic life aren't you?" Seungmin turned to his best friend, clearly heard the whole conversation between Jisung and Hyunjin.
Jisung nervously laughed „Do you think he knows it's me?"
„I don't know, maybe? And if he does, then so what? You won a life man"

Jisung and Seungmin stepped off the plane at Incheon International Airport, their almost month-long together journey from Los Angeles finally at an end.
The familiar sights and sounds of Korea welcomed them home, filling them with a sense of belonging that only their homeland could provide.
Seungmin took a deep breath, looking around. „I'm back. Seungmin in Korea."
As they navigated their way through the airport, Jisung's anticipation grew with every step. He couldn't wait to see his family, to be enveloped in their warm embrace once more.
Finally, they reached the arrivals area, where Jisung's parents stood waiting, their faces lighting up with joy at the sight of their sons.
"Jisung! Seungmin!" his mother exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace them both. "Welcome home, my boys."
Jisung smiled as he returned the embrace, feeling a surge of happiness at being reunited with his family. But as they pulled away, he couldn't help but notice the way his parents' eyes lingered on Seungmin, their expressions filled with love and pride.
"Mom, Dad, it's good to be back," Jisung said, his voice filled with emotion.
His parents nodded, their smiles never faltering as they turned their attention back to Seungmin. "Seungmin, it's been too long," his father said, clasping Seungmin's shoulder affectionately. "We've missed having you around."
Jisung's heart twinged with a mixture of emotions as he watched his parents interact with Seungmin.
They had always welcomed Seungmin into their home with open arms, treating him like another son. And while part of him was grateful for their love and acceptance, another part couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.
„Sometimes, I feel like Seungmin is your favourite, dad." Jisung joked, making his father laugh out loud.
„Seungmin is an unproblematic kid, of course I like him."
But as they made their way to the car, Jisung's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of excited barking. Turning towards the noise, he spotted a familiar figure peeking out of the car window – his loyal companion, Bbama.
"Bbama!" Jisung exclaimed, dropping to his knees to greet his fluffy friend. "I've missed you, buddy."
Bbama's tail wagged furiously as he licked Jisung's face, his excitement palpable. In that moment, surrounded by the love of his faithful dog, Jisung felt a sense of comfort wash over him.
As they drove home, Jisung couldn't shake the feeling of displacement that lingered within him. But as he looked around at the faces of his family – both human and canine – he knew that no matter what, he was home. And that was all that truly mattered.
The car rolled to a stop outside Jisung's family home, the familiar sight bringing a sense of warmth and comfort to both Jisung and Seungmin. They climbed out of the car, their weary bodies eager to finally relax after their long journey.
As they entered the house, the aroma of home-cooked Korean food greeted them, tantalizing their senses and stirring memories of countless family dinners.
Jisung's mother bustled around the kitchen, a flurry of activity as she prepared a feast fit for royalty.
"Seungmin, you must stay for dinner," she insisted, her eyes twinkling with warmth. "We have more than enough food, and it's been too long since we've had you at our table."
Seungmin smiled gratefully, touched by the invitation. "I'd love to, Momma Han. Thank you."
Jisung's father clapped Seungmin on the back, his grin stretching from ear to ear. "Good! It's settled then. You're practically family anyway."
As they gathered around the table, Jisung couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him.
The table was laden with all of his favorite dishes – just a bit spicy kimchi, savory bulgogi, crispy pajun, and so much more. It was a spread fit for a king, a testament to his mother's culinary prowess.
„Thank you for the food!"
As they dug into the meal, the room filled with the sounds of laughter and chatter, the air buzzing with the energy of family reunited.
Seungmin fit right in, seamlessly blending into the chaotic rhythm of their household as if he had always been a part of it, like the old days.
For Jisung, it was a moment of pure bliss – a reminder of everything he held dear, of the love and warmth that surrounded him wherever he went.
As he looked around the table at the faces of his family – his parents, Seungmin, and Bbama sitting patiently by his side and eating his own food– he couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
This, he realized, was home. And no matter where life took him, this feeling of belonging would always be with him, guiding him through the ups and downs of life's journey.
