Bonus chapter!!

Time jump:

'hey connie' i signed to the girl infront of me, causing a large toothy grin to spread across her face.

'hey daryl, you ok?'

I nodded in response.

'ill leave you two to it' connies sister, kelly, signed to us before walking of with yumiko and magna.

Connie and i were good friends, shed joined our just before the whisperers appearance and had been with us ever since.

And now, now she lives with us at the commonwealth. The new commonwealth, the one without Pamila milton.

Me and connie began to walk and sign, just talking like we usually do, as we did we saw eugene, max and rosie (at the ice-cream stall like usual).

'daryl?' connie turned to me and began signing, 'you never told me but were did you learn sign language? When we joined your group practically everyone was already fluent in asl'

A lump formed in my throat and i began to sign woth shaky hands, 'there was this girl, her name was harper grimes. She was deaf aswell, her and her girl, they went out but never came back, a few months later we found them both, they were still together, theyd both made sure they didt turn. They were both  bitten and barely even bodies, no wonder they did that'

I finished signing and looked down at my feet to hide my newley formed tears, then i felt connies hand on my shoulder and i looked up and saw her sorrowful eyes and sympathetic smile gazing back up me.

She hugged me and took me hand before we began to walk again.

Everyone still gets upswt talking about harper and jule, its something none of us will ever get over.

Especially since a few weeks after her younger brother died aswell, and then afew months after that her father.

Now only judith and rj grimes remain.

They are the main reminders of theyre family we lost.

And jules sister enid died a year or so after aswell.

We are all the ones who keep the memories of the dead alive.

And we will continue to do so.

They will always be in our hearts.
