Chapter 18

04:32, 11 November 2013

"We need to get there," James whispered to his brother, Fred, Scorpius, and Louis. Astoria had brought them back to the hotel room, but luckily for the two boys she was in the other room with the other kids."How? We don't even know where they went," Albus replied, making a point."They were headed towards the beach over there," Scorpius said."How are we going to distract your mum?" Louis asked Scorpius."The girls," James said, "or Hugo.""They'd want to come along," Fred pointed out."Louis... you're the youngest," Albus said."We're the same age!" Louis protested."No, I'm older, remember?""By a few months, yes...""Could you keep Astoria busy?" James pleaded. "Please, Louis. Ten Galleons if you keep her oblivious.""Fifteen." He crossed his arms."Fine. Now guys, we have one shot at getting out. If I know how a mother's mind works at all, is that if she catches us the first time she'll watch us like a hawk the entire time and we won't be able to slip away.""How about through the porch?" Albus suggested. Their hotel room was on the ground floor, so they had a small porch instead of a balcony like the ones above them. "There's a back door.""Right, good," Fred said. "Louis, tell Astoria we're... in one of the rooms playing Exploding Snap and don't want to be bothered.""She'll get suspicious," Scorpius said. "Tell her James and Al are doing that, I'm sleeping, and Fred is doing whatever, I don't care.""Okay," Louis said, nodding. "Just don't... die.""I'll try avoiding it." James grinned.*"What are you doing?"The four boys saw Domi watching them opening the door, hands on her hips. Rose and Molly were behind her, eyes narrowed."Are you tying to sneak out?" Molly asked, and Albus shushed her, looking around to make sure Astoria wasn't coming."Don't tell Astoria!" James whispered loudly, and turned back to go out the door."I just might!" Rose quipped. "You're not going, remember? Your parents will kill you!""So what?" Fred shrugged. "Roxy got to go.""That's different, she's seventeen!""You you don't want Scorpius's mum to know, right?" Domi asked, and the boys nodded. "On one condition... we're coming with you.""No way." Scorpius shook his head."Astor-!""Fine!" James hissed. "Come along, Dominique, it's at your own risk!""I'm coming too," Molly decided."We're going to get in trouble!" Rose insisted."See ya later, then," Fred said as he exited, followed by the rest of them.At the last minute, Rose followed them, telling them she thought the idea was terrible. "We're underage! Let's go back before you get us killed, James... or worse - expelled from Hogwarts!""Rosie, now is not the time to quote The Philosopher's Stone," James reminded her, and she fell silent, glaring at his back."Do you even know where they went?" Domi asked as they got out of the parking lot. "Towards the Tiger Shores beach," Albus answered. "Bloody hell, it looks like it's going to storm!"And it did. As they made their way down the road and saw the blue sign that read; Tiger Shores, there were many cars filing out of the place and families packing up their stuff into their car. But they ran along the sidewalk and up to the entrance to the beach, passing the showers. They trudged up the sand, inching passed people who were leaving."I'd advise leaving, kids," some guy about twenty in his swim shorts said. He was carrying a long white surfboard. "Red flag on all the other beaches. The tide'll crash you into the rocks - they said a hurricane is coming in less than an hour.""Right, thanks," James told him, nodding. They got onto the beach and saw it was almost empty. The wind was so strong the palm trees were quaking under its wrath, and it was making sand fly (it stung when it touched you). The sky was getting blacker, and out in the ocean they could see hints of heavy rain and lightening. Thunder rumbled in the sky, and the waves crashed against the shore violently."I wonder if Voldemort has anything to do with this," Molly wondered."I wonder where they went," Albus said."I wonder if this was a good idea," Domi said."I wonder if we should go back," Rose said."It's too late now," said James. "I'm going to find my sister."Yes, yes I know, short. But hey, I updated about an hour ago as well, and I still have some ideas, so... I'm okay with it. Well, James seems PRETTY DETIRMINED if you ask me... Huh, I wonder were that will lead :)As always, comment / vote / fan! ~Lily
