Chapter 8 : Change

Bakugou's POV:

———Bakugou wasn't very good at not being the one in control. But after his last experience with Ochako and their assignment, he felt inclined to make up for it. His delivery letting her know that he wanted her to lead was awful but being nice to others wasn't something that he knew how to do so even if he has the best intentions, he sounds like a total douchebag.

When the two were patrolling, Bakugou tended to walk a bit further behind Ochako. Bakugou didn't think he was capable of being too close to her for a prolonged amount of time without being flustered or even worse: getting hard. However, he would occasionally take a few glances at her ass; she was just too tempting in her hero outfit.

Finally, before they finished the last rooftop patrol, Bakugou found the courage to tell Ochako what he thought about the letter. Of course, the way he stated his thoughts to her sounded meaner than what they meant but every word was genuine and was meant to uplift Ochako. He doesn't want Ochako to present herself as some kind of doormat to potential assholes...assholes like himself. He knows that Ochako is smarter and stronger than she tends to expose and it pisses him off that she acts as if she's fragile.

Bakugou, now enraged by the thought of her acting sweet to horrible people, he walks past her and inspects the rooftop alone to try and cool off.

After finishing their patrolling, they reported back to their teacher. The teacher was impressed by how much better the two worked together compared to last time. He gave them full points before dismissing them for the day.

Ochako and Bakugou walked to the changing rooms together but they didn't say a word to each other nor did they look at each other. But eventually, as they were walking through the hallway, Bakugou felt a light tap on his shoulder. He stopped walking and turned to look at Ochako.

"I really appreciate what you said to me earlier...and thanks for letting me contribute to the assignment." she said with a shy grin.

Bakugou slightly smirked and rolled his eyes. "Whatever..." he said as he continued walking.

Ochako's smile went from shy to genuine after successfully communicating with Bakugou. The pair went their separate ways after changing.

Back at his dorm room Bakugou started to work on his homework. He soon found himself unable to work peacefully as he heard a couple of loud voices speaking just outside his room door. He tried to ignore it but they were just too loud. Eventually. Bakugou had enough and decided to confront the people outside of his room. When he opened the door, he found all of the girls from his class gathered around the door of the room that was in front of his.

"What the hell is going on?!" he asked aggressively. All of the girls, startled by his sudden appearance, turned around.

"We were just checking out this new trick that Hagakure came up with." Jirou said calmly.

Bakugou furrowed his eyebrows and squinted his eyes. "But there's no reason for you guys to be so fucking loud." he growled.

"We didn't mean to be..." Tsuyu said.

Bakugou turned his head and glared at Tsuyu furiously. Just before he could respond, Ochako spoke.

"We're sorry. We'll try to keep our voices down." she said nervously.

Upon hearing her voice, Bakugou calmed down. He turned his gaze to Ochako as he softened the expression on his face. "It's whatever...just don't do it again." he said before going back to his room.———
