Chapter 43

Christmas

I walked in the hallways alone to find Sam and give this christmas present for him and hope that he wont mad at me.

"Stacey can you give this for Sam?" I give my gift to Stacey.

"What is this?" Stacey frowned at me.

"A christmas present. He mad at me, he ignore me since the last sectionals until now and I dont even know what my fault is. Oh and this one for you." I give another christmas present to her.

"Thank you. My brother can be really a jerk. I'm sorry for everything he did." Stacey sighed.

"It's okay, I'll be back to LA tomorrow." I smiled at her.

"That fast? I'm gonna miss you." Stacey hugged me.

"I'm gonna miss you too, little girl." I hugged her back.

"Hey babe." Ryder suddenly come to us and smirked at Stacey."Oh hi Emily." Ryder smiled at me.

"Babe? Whoah haha. Hi Ryder." I laughed.

"I will give this to Sam. He should understand that a bestfriend cant fight for a long time." Stacey smiled at me.

"Alright. Thank you." I smiled back at her and walked off.

Today is 24 of December and tonight I will have dinner with my family before tomorrow I will go back to LA with my evening flight.

I went out from McKinley to get my car and drive back to my home to prepare the dinner with my mom.

"Emily stop!" A familiar voice shouts.

I turned my face and Sam is coming over to me.

"I'm sorry, I dont mean to ignore you. I just got my boring time and it makes me bored. You did nothing wrong and thanks for the new comic books." Sam smiled at me.

"You're welcome, Sam." I smiled back at him.

"You sure that you will back to LA tomorrow?" Sam asked me.

"Yes I have my classes." I nodded.

"I'm gonna miss you." Sam suddenly hug me.

"I'm gonna miss you too." I hugged him back.

"See you." Sam said.

"See you." I said and walked off.

Sam waves me a goodbye. I wave him a goodbye and walked to the parking lot to find my car until I saw Puck and Jake are ready to go. Puck is smiling at me and I just give him a halfsmiled then enter my car.

Last christmas I was with Puck and now it changed. I will spend my christmas with my family. I start my car and driving to my house.

As I get home, I place the key on the key box and Burt is like ready to go.

"Do you want to go?" I asked Burt.

"Yes, to New York meet Kurt and bring him the biggest christmas present ever." Burt said to me.

"What is that?" I frowned.

"Blaine Anderson." Burt chuckled.

"You should bring Finn too." I chuckled.

"But before I go, I have something for you." Burt give me a chrismas present.

"This is not Blaine right?" I chuckled.

"Just opened it." Burt said to me.

I opened the box and see a music box. When you open the box, a music will start playing.

"Aww this is cute. Thank you." I hugged Burt.

"You're welcome, sweety. Merry Christmas." Burt smiled at me.

"Merry Christmas to you too. Send my kiss and hug for Kurt." I smiled back at him.

"I will. Oh your plane tickets in over there." Burt pointed at the cabinet and walked off.

I walked to the cabinet and take my plane tickets. I take a look at it and I will have a flight at 5pm tomorrow. Great then.

I walked to my room and place my flight tickets to my bag. I take my small suitcase and pack my stuff. I will bring this little music box to LA and place it on my side table in my room.

"Honey, you home?" Mom yelled.

"In my room, mom." I yelled back.

"Can you help me with this?" Mom yelled.

"Coming." I left my suitcase and walked to the kitchen.

I saw mom is busy with those kind of food for the dinner tonight. So I decided to help her until it's finish.

* 2 hours later *

"I dont understand why it took so long to cook this food." Mom lift her shoulder up.

"Because it is a special thing." I smiled at her.

"Oh honey, why you need to go back earlier?" Mom hugged me from my left side.

"Because I have to show my painting to my professor or I will lose my scholarship, mom." I halfsmiled at her.

"Its okay, we will celebrate early christmas." Mom smiled at me.

"I will be back home on summer, dont worry." I chuckled.

"I'm home." Finn yelled.

"Nobody ask him actually." I rolled my eyes.

"Emily...." Mom said.

"Ugh yes." I sighed.

"Am I late?" Finn walked in to the kitchen.

"No, honey." Mom smiled at him.

"Just make a little surprise for Sue Sylvester." Finn simply said.

"Here our christmas dinner like few years only with three of us." Mom said as she place the food on the dining table.

"Where is Burt?" Finn frowned.

"Went to New York to have christmas with Kurt. He need to tell Kurt about his cancer." Mom said.

"Thats bad." I sighed.

"Yeah it is." Finn nodded.

"Come on guys, no tears on christmas. Lets enjoy the dinner before one of our girl back to LA." Mom chuckled.

"First of all, this one for mom and this is for Emily." Finn place two box on the dining table.

I take mine with a golden cover. I opened it and got a new long sleeve shirt.

"Aww thank you, Finn." I hugged him.

"Mine?" Finn asked me.

"On your drawer." I simply said.

Finn stand up from his seat and walked to our room in hurry. Mom looked at me with a smiling face. I just gave her a giggled.

"A new drum sticks? This is cool!" Finn said happily.

"And for mom, I have this." I gave a paperbag with a new blazer in it.

"Honey, you dont give me anything. Have you here with me is already my gift." Mom hugged me.

"I'm forget to give the another one for Burt." I chuckled.

"And this one for my girl and another one for my boy." Mom gave me and Finn christmas gift.

I take it and open the box. I got painting kit for my sketch and paint. This is cool, I really love it.

"Thank you so much mom." I smiled at her.

"You're welcome, honey." Mom smiled back at me.

"A new shawl? Cool. Thanks mom." Finn smiling.

"Haha it's okay. Now lets have a dinner because this food is waiting for us." Mom chuckled.

I nodded and sit down on my seat also Finn. This is really our christmas tradition. Sharing the gift before have a dinner on christmas eve. Only with three of us. Mom, Finn and I.

Los Angeles

I went out from my taxi and take my suitcase from the baggage car. I already arrived in my apartment. Cleverton Apartment.

I entered the main the lobby and bring my suitcase to the third floor where is my apartment place.

I take my key from my sling bag and looked at the door opposite of my apartment. It's already 10pm and maybe Nana or Nick already fall asleep.

I opened my door and get in. I turn on the light and lock the door. Mercedes will back tomorrow so tonight I will be alone here.

I bring my suitcase to my room and unpack my stuff and prepare for something that I have to show my professor tomorrow.

Thank God, because my painting got a place for Arts Fair next month. My faculty in UCLA will held an arts fair in hollywood walk of fame and my painting of Mark Twain's face got a place there. I'm so happy.

"Hey the captain of cheerio." A voice called me.

I turned my face and Rafael is smiling at me. I just frowned at him and then chuckled.

"Rafael?" I chuckled.

"Hey I didnt know you enter this university." Rafael laughed.

"Yes and I didnt know you're in LA." I chuckled.

"Spending a holiday with some family here and my cousin is studying here." Rafael said.

"Ah I see. I though you really moves to LA." I said to him.

"Hey dude, you here?" A familiar voice come us."Emily? When you get back here?" Nick frowned at me.

"Last night. Wait you know him?" I pointed at Rafael.

"He is my cousin." Rafael said to me.

"World is really small." I mumbled.

"You know each other?" Nick frowned at me and Rafael.

"Dude, she is my first ex-girlfriend and my first love. If that Puckerman wasnt ruined our relationship, maybe we still be together until now. Right, E?" Rafael put an arm on my shoulder and smirked at me.

I just halfsmiled at him. Nick didnt say anything and give me a poker face then looked around.

"So how's your life with Puckerman?" Rafael asked me.

"We broke up." I simply said and pushed his hand slowly from my shoulder.

"So I can get a chance to get you back? Babe, goddamn I miss you so bad." Rafael smirked at me.

"What are you doing here, dude?" Nick asked Rafael.

"Looking for girls but I got my girl here haha actually I want to tell you that I have to go back to Toronto." Rafael said to Nick.

"Thanks for visiting me and Nana." Nick said to Rafael.

"It's okay. If I knew that Emily was here, I would come everyday." Rafael smirked at me.

I just halfsmiled at him and turned my face at Nick who looked surprised and little bit jealous.

"You better hurry before you miss your plane." Nick said to Rafael.

"You really want me and Emily separated? It's a big chance after Puckerman stole my girl." Rafael grinned at Nick.

"Raf..." Nick sighed.

"Okay, take care babe." Rafael smirked at me and walked off.

"I'm not your babe, jerk." I mumbled.

"So you are the girl that he told me." Nick suddenly said.

"But I dont love him anymore. He move to Canada on sophomore year besides we broke up because he lied to me twice." I said to Nick.

"I can see from your face that you're little bit hate him when he teases you." Nick said.

"Yeah you're right." I sighed.

"Do you have any class left?" Nick asked me.

"Nope, I just met my professor and gave him my painting then he said yes." I smiled at him.

"You mean that your painting got a place for Arts Fair?" Nick raised his eyebrows.

"Yes!" I nodded happily.

"God, I'm so happy for you, doll-face." Nick suddenly hug me.

I hugged him back until we pulled our body at each other and smiling shyly. It's been twice since we kissed in my apartment.

"So lets celebrate it!" Nick said happily.

"What are we gonna do?" I asked Nick.

"Disneyland?" Nick smirked at me.

"Sure." I nodded.

"Lets go!" Nick takes my hand and we then walked off from UCLA park.

I cant believe that Nick and Rafael are cousin and Nick seems like so much better than Rafael who is a jerk. He is a gentleman and sweet one.

"When Mercedes will back?" Nick asked me.

"Today, maybe. Why? You miss her?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yes, I miss her and disturb you." Nick laughed.

"Ugh I dont miss you and I hope that I wouldnt see you today." I curl my lips.

"But you are here with me now." Nick smirked at me.

"Yeah I hate the reality." I rolled my eyes.

"I miss your annoying." Nick pinch my cheeek.

"Smirky..." I rolled my eyes.

"I also miss that nickname ringing around my ear." Nick said.

"Thats too much." I simply said.

"Do you have any plan what are we gonna do for New Year eve?" Nick asked me.

"Not yet." I shake my head.

"Hmm. I will take you to my secret place and we can see the firework like in the 4th of July from there." Nick smiled at me.

"Sounds good." I smiled back at him.

"Of course." Nick said proudly.

I just chuckled and smiling at him. He smile back at me while we are keep walking to Disneyland and have fun there.

"I should take a picture with Donald Duck so I can compare your ducky face with him." I laughed.

"No way!" Nick shakes his head.

"Hey you both, seems like after having fun together." Julius greeted us.

"We just went to Disneyland, buddy." Nick said to Julius.

"Wow haha I should bring my girlfriend there." Julius chuckled.

"You should!" I nodded as agree.

"Well, first you have to take care of this lobby." Nick laughed and walked off.

"He is crazy!" I said to Julius.

Julius just nodded and laughed so hard. Nick walked back and take my hand then walked lead me to get to our apartment.

"You said that I'm crazy?" Nick raised his eyebrows.

"I didnt." I shake my head.

"You did." Nick said.

"I didnt." I protest."Mercedes?" I called Mercedes as I saw her and Nana walked out from Nana's apartment.

"Where have you guys been?" Mercedes raised her eyebrows.

"Just having fun." I giggled.

"Having fun?" Nana frowned.

"We just went to Disneyland. Thats it." Nick simply said.

"Well, I'm tired and I have my class tomorrow. Good night, Nana and you too Nick." Mercedes said and walked off to our apartment.

"Good night, Mercedes." Nana said and get into her apartment.

"Well I'm so tired and I need to have a rest because tomorrow I need to prepare myself for another arts. Good night, smirky." I said to him and about to walked off.

Nick catched my hand and make me stop my way. "Good night after having a date is not like that." Nick smirked at me.

"Then?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Like this.." He pushed his face closer to me and about to kiss me.

"Nick, the lamp in the bathroom is not working again." Nana interupts us.

Nick pulled his hand from my cheek and pushed his face away from my face. I just pretend like nothing happened in between us.

"I'm coming, Nana." Nick giggled.

"Good night, Nana." I giggled.

"Good night, sweety." Nana said to me and walked in.

I let out a sigh and get into my apartment. Nick just smiling at me then close his apartment door. I smiled back at him and close my door.

"Something happened in between you both." Mercedes said as she watch TV on the sofa.

"Nothing happened." I giggled.

"Seriously? You guys spend a lot of time together. You and him dating?" Mercedes frowned at me.

"Nope. Not yet. He told me that he likes me but we are not dating." I shake my head.

"But he will ask you to be his girlfriend. I'm sure with that." Mercedes laughed.

"You have to know something." I jump to the sofa.

"What?" Mercedes asked curiously.

"I met Rafael in UCLA park after I submitted my painting to my professor." I said to Mercedes.

"Rafael? Rafael your ex-boyfriend?" Mercedes frowned.

"Yes. And the worst thing is him and Nick are cousin!"

"Oh God. How come?" Mercedes gasped.

"Rafael greeted me then Nick come to us until they both explained that. I was surprised because Nick is so much better and different with Rafael."

"Then?"

"Rafael teased me but I ignore him because I can see Nick get a little bit jealous with that. After Rafael gone, we went to Disneyland. Finish." I chuckled.

"He really will ask you to be his girlfriend." Mercedes chuckled.

"I hope so because I will say yes for that." I laughed and walked to my room.

"You cant deny that you love him, E." Mercedes laughed.

I just laughed and pushed my body to my bed. I cant let him get out of my mind. I cant wait for New Year and spending the night with him.
