One Day before Sectionals

"You guys ready for sectionals tomorrow?" Finn asked.

"We never lose in sectionals." Santana said.

"Take a break about sectionals. I wanna say something." I said to them.

"Since I wasnt be able here when Mr. Schue make Brittany 2.0 week so I put a special number for today." I smiled at them.

I walked to the piano and start playing it and sing for Brittany.

"Yeah I know that Rachel ever sang this song too but when Mercedes told me that you guys had Brittany 2.0 week, this song come to my mind." I chuckled.

"Well, lets continue the rehearsal." Finn said to the others.

I sat down on the front row of audience seat in auditorium. Until Nick followed me and sit down next to me.

"I'll be back tomorrow morning." Nick said.

"You dont want to see their performance on sectionals?" I asked.

"No, no like that. Nana will back tomorrow evening and I'm afraid that she will find out that I'm gone." Nick hold my hand.

"It's fine. But I'll be back after christmas." I said to him.

"We can spend New Years eve together." He smirked at me.

"Who says that I want to spend New Years eve with you?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Mercedes, do you have any plan for New Years eve?" Nick suddenly ask Mercedes.

"Yes, Tank asked me out. Sorry E, but I guess you'll be alone." Mercedes said to us.

"See? You'll spending a whole of night with me." He smirked.

"I'd rather sleep all night long than with you." I simply said.

"Remember when you got fever and Mercedes went to New York? Who was there for you? Me." Nick said proudly.

"That was because I was sick and far from my mom." I rolled my eyes.

I turned my face at him and cup his cheeks and make his head shaking. "Look at this ducky ducky face who cant stop smirk."

"Emily?" Nick called me.

"Would you have a date with me tonight?"

"What are we gonna do?" I asked him.

"What about dinner in Breadstix? I will pick you up in Chang's house." I smiled at him.

"It supposed to be the guy who pick up his girl, doll-face." Nick rolled his eyes.

"Remember when you lost in LA? You dont even know the path to get to my house from Chang's." I sighed.

"Actually, you're right."

"Okay so I will pick you up and never protest." I said to him.

"Okay, you win." Nick smiled at me.

"I know I always win." I chuckled.

Nick just chuckled and stroke my hair with his hand. After that he hold my hand and smiling at me. I cant handle and give him a shyly smile.

** Puck's P.O.V **

It's a wrong decision to get home. If it wasnt for Jake, I wont go back home and see another guy touch my girl.

But now I can see that clearly. The guy named Nick is flirting and teasing my girl. He doesnt even shy to touch her or smirk at her. Does he realize that I always give him a death stare?

"I know you're jealous." Quinn suddenly sit down next to me.

"I'm not. I came here for Jake." I simply said.

"Puck, you're my baby's father. I know you're jealous with them." Quinn said.

"Yes, I'm jealous but is there something I can do?"

"Change into a better man." Quinn simply said.

"I tried my best to be a better man but without her, nobody remind me to be a better person." I said to Quinn.

"Why dont you motivate yourself to be a better man for her? Puck, we are not in highschool anymore. People grow up and she need a man, not a guy."

"But what can I do? I'm a jerk. I hurt her."

"Find yourself. Be a better person. You're a father, Puck. And you have a daughter, remember about your daughter. What if a guy did the same thing to Beth? What a father gonna do? Dont a father always trying to make his daughter proud?" Quinn said.

"So I have to prove that I can be a better man?"

"Yes. Find a way. For now, just let her go. I'm sure that she will back to your arms. You and her are lovely couple." Quinn hold my hand.

"Can I kiss you?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Haha no way. I'm dating someone else and I dont want to make everything getting worse." Quinn laughed.

"Thanks, Q." I smiled at her.

"You're welcome." Quinn smiled back at me.

** Emily's P.O.V **

"I'm tired." Sam groaned.

The others still dancing until Stacey almost fall down but Ryder suddenly catch her. They both keep frozen and looked at each other for a minute until Finn clears his throat.

"Wohooo a new Rory." I laughed.

"Ryder, how dare you to touch my sister?" Sam said to Ryder.

"I was helping." Ryder simply said.

"I need to keep this little bee away from you." Sam moves Stacey's body next to him.

"All brothers are the same." I rolled my eyes.

"So Finn also like that?" Nick chuckled.

"Yes, you have to know that he ever become so protective and hold my hand while walking in the hallways." I chuckled.

"Nick.." I rolled my eyes.

I just take a look at him and smiling. He is the cute and funny one. Even when he hold my hand, I can feel that my heart beats so fast.

"Okay that was enough. Hope that you guys ready for tomorrow." Finn said.

"Why dont we go now instead of go home and pick me up then have a dinner." Nick whisper at me.

"Sometimes you're smart enough. I also want to buy new comic books." I nodded.

"I always smart, doll-face." Nick smirked at me.

I stand up from my seat and come to Finn when he is talking to Mike. I put my hand on his waist to tease him.

"Finnie bear, can you give me the car key?" I smirked at Finn.

"Oh you wanna drive? Sure." Finn give me his car key.

"You're the best brother ever. Go home with Mike because I have to go." I smirked at him and takes Nick's hand.

"Wait what?" Finn frowned.

"I have to go, see you! I love you so much!" I yelled and run off lead Nick to out from the auditorium.

Nick and I laughing and running together to the parking lot until we got into Finn's car.

"Finn will kill us after this." Nick laughed.

"He will." I laughed.

"I cant believe that you could do something crazy like that." Nick chuckled.

"We better go before Finn caught us."

"Alright." Nick start the car and drive off.

* 30 minutes later *

We are in a bookstore now. I'm looking for comic books while Nick keep following me. I take five new edition of comic books to the bagstore.

"That much?" Nick asked.

"For Sam. I dont know why he ignore me all day." I sighed.

"He mad at you?" Nick frowned.

"Maybe but I dont know whats my fault."

"Bestfriend cant fight for a long time." Nick strokes my hair.

"You know what Nick? The things you said was right, Sam was trying to kiss me when I got back here and he told me his feeling." I sighed.

"Then?"

"I refused that. I told him that I love him but as my bestfriend because I dont wanna hurt him besides I like you not Sam."

"What?" Nick frowned.

"What what?" I raised my eyebrows.

"I didnt say that." I said without looking at him.

I just frowned at him. He turn his face closer to me and kissed me softly. I dont know what should I do but I kissed him back.

We pulled our lips each other and he smiled at me. I just realize that I just said that I like him and yeah that's true since nobody can make my days brighter than he did.

"I wanna pay this for Sam." I said shyly to Nick.

Nick just nodded.

I walked to the cashier to pay these comic books for Sam. I dont know why he ignore me all day like this but all I know that he can be moody one.

After that I come over to Nick while he is looking for some kind of arts book.

"It's done?" He asked me.

"You looking for arts book?" I frowned.

"Yeah wanna learn how to make macaroni arts like Sam did." He simply said.

"You can learn by yourself from him." I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah sounds good." Nick nodded."Where are we going next?"

"Breadstix? I'm hungry." I said to him.

"Sure. I know that you are predator one." Nick laughed.

"Whatever." I simply said.

Nick didnt say anything but he make our hands touching and he suddenly hold my hand and our fingers interlock just like a couple.

We then walked to the parking lot to get my car and drive off to breadstix to have dinner besides I miss breadstix so much.

After twenty minutes driving we finally arrived in breadstix. Nick parks the car. I went out from my car and get into Breadstix with Nick followed me.

"What is this?" Nick asked me.

"Italian restaurant that you wont find in LA." I said to him."Two please." I smiled to the greeter.

She then smiled back at me and show me a table for two persons and give the menu.

"What do you want?" Nick asked while looking at the menu.

"I dont need to see that. Fettucine carbonara and lemon juice." I simply said.

"Okay same." He close the menu.

"Two fettucine carbonara and two lemon juice." I said to the greeter.

She smiled at me and noted our order then walked off.

"It seems like you really know this place." Nick said to me.

"It's like everyday I went here for eat. Almost people in Lima loves Breadstix." I said.

"This sticks looks good." Nick pointed at the breadstucks.

"Taste it. Thats why this place named Breadstix." I chuckled.

"My plane will take off at ten tomorrow." Nick suddenly said.

"I didnt ask for that." I simply said.

"In case you want to take me to the airport." Nick said while eating the breadsticks.

"I might be still in my bed and sleeping beauty like a princess." I grinned at him.

"You dont want to say goodbye or take care or safe flight?" Nick frowned.

"Why should I? We will meet again in LA. You live five steps from my apartment." I raised my eyebrows.

"Promise me you will be back." Nick said to me.

"Without that things, I have to go back or I will lose my scholarship." I rolled my eyes.

"You're cute and annoying." Nick pinch my cheeck.

"Dont you think that Sam ignore me because he hide something from me?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Probably. Why dont you ask him?" Nick asked back.

"Sam is the moody one. He can ignore all people all day just because he got mad with something. The worst thing was me, Santana and Brittany have foursome date with him." I laughed.

"Three of you have a date with him at the same time and in the same place? How lucky he is." Nick laughed.

"Yes that was Santana's idea. She want to have date Sam but she knows that Sam would refuse that so she asked me and Brittany and Sam agreed. That was stupid." I chuckled.

"Seems like you and the latina girl is really close." Nick said to me.

"Her name is Santana. Yes, we are bestfriend like me and Sam or me and Mercedes. She is gay, and she used to date Brittany but then they broke up." I said.

"Ah I remember. She called you when you asked me to cook your dinner right?" Nick raised his eyebrows.

"Yep." I nodded.

"And I guess Santana is have feeling for you now." Nick chuckled.

"I'm straight." I rolled my eyes.

"And Brittany?" Nick frowned.

"She is bi." I simply said.

Our food is finally coming. I take my fork and spoon to eat my favorite food ever in the best place in Lima with someone I like.

"This place is quiet comfortable and have a delicious food." Nick said to me.

I just nodded and smiling at him. Suddenly a phone is ringing. I looked at the table and it is his phone. He looked up at the screen and didnt answer the phone, just ignore it.

"Why dont you answer that?" I asked him.

"Doesnt really matters." He simply said.

"Okay.." I simply said and continue eating my food.

But his phone is ringing again. I looked up and he rejects that call. I dont know where that was from, not my business.

Nick go back eating his food but his phone is keep ringing. Until he rejects that call and turn off his phone.

"Someone is trying to disturb our dates." Nick sighed.

"That person cant stop call you because you didnt answer that phone." I said to him.

"This person always disturb me." Nick said.

"I see." I finish my dinner and drink my juice.

"You wanna go home now?" Nick asked me.

"If you dont mind."

"I do. Because I cant see your face for the next month." Nick smirked at me.

"I dont like your cheesy words." I rolled my eyes.

"Haha seriously. Well lets go home because I have morning flight tomorrow." Nick said and left some money on the table.

"Okay." I nodded and stand up from my seat.

He take a look at the waitress and give a sign that he left his money there. He take my hand and walked out. He give the car key to me and enter the passenger door. I start the car and drive off to Mike's house.

"You dont want to stay for a night?" Nick asked me.

"It's not your house, but it's Mike and I know that Mike's father is kinda devil one besides he is friend with my step-father and you have to know that my step-father can be another devil when he got mad." I sighed.

"But it seems like your step-father loves you like he loves his child." Nick said.

"I dont know, probably. His son is in New York and studying in NYADA." I simply said.

"And why you dont enter NYADA? You're talented."

"If I lived in New York and joined NYADA, I wouldnt meet you, smirky."

"Haha yes right." Nick chuckled.

I just rolled my eyes and keep driving to Mike's house. After twenty minutes driving I finally got into Mike's house.

"You sure that I dont wanna come?" Nick asked.

"Yes." I simply said.

"Alright." Nick said and about to leave the car.

I catch his hand and make his face turns at me. "Safe flight and take care. Call me when you arrived in LA." I halfsmiled at him.

"I will. See you, I will wait for you to come back." Nick smiled at me.

"Thanks for the date." I smiled back at him.

"I'm the one who supposed to say that. Thanks Emily." Nick smiled and went out from my car.

I wave him a goodbye and drive off. I can see that he also drive me a goodbye. Thanks Nick, for the date and told me that you like me.

Sectionals.

"Guys show circle!" Finn said to the others.

"What is that?" Marley frowned.

"A tradition before the show begin." Mercedes smiled at her.

We then make a circle in the choir room. This sectionals will be held in our auditorium. This is Thanksgiving night and everyone hope the best for this one.

"Joe, lead a pray." Finn said to Joe.

"E, lead a pray." Joe said to me.

"Errr." I sighed."Okay God, I dont exactly remember the line from bible but I want one thing for tonight, make my New Directions win. This show is really matter for us. Amen."

"Such a good pray." Quinn chuckled.

"In 3?" Santana raised her eyebrows.

We then walked out from the choir room to the auditorium. We entered the backstage while The Warblers is performing. I remember that the time when I punched Sebastian.

Santana, Puck and Quinn walked to the audience seat. Mercedes, Mike, Finn and I still in the backstage.

The Warblers is finish their performance. Sam take a look behind the curtain. And then gasped.

"Mr. Schue is here." Sam said in whisper.

"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to stage, the New Directions!"

The others walked in hurry to the stage when the curtain is still lift down.

"Alright, good luck you guys." Finn said and walked off to meet Mr. Schue.

Mercedes, Mike and I still on the backstage to see their performance. The curtain is finally lift up and the music begin.

"Alright, the alumni stay with Marley and the others go back to the stage, leaving a stage before the shows end will be disqualified." Mr. Schue said.

"Is it kind of the rules?" Finn frowned.

"Yes it is and it's too late. The judges already choose that The Warblers is the winner. Wow Christmas come fast for Sue Sylvester." Coach Sylvester grinned at us and walked off.

"This is because of you, Marley!" Tina said angrily.

The others gasped and dissapointed. We never lose in Sectionals but now we are lose. Lose from The Warblers.

Marley start crying. I take my phone and decided to text Kurt and tell him about what happened and hope that he would tell Rachel and Rachel can call Finn to make him feel better.

Finn kicked a chair and went out from the choir room. I dont know what to do but he must be really dissapointed. I went out from the choir room and decided to follow Finn.

"Finn, stop. This is an accident." I catched his hand.

"We never lose in sectionals and now we are lose!" Finn yelled.

"Calm down. You are the leader and all you have to do is make them understand that you still have a chance. They need you, Finn." I said to Finn.

"I made Mr. Schue dissapointed." Finn sighed.

"You dont. Come on, you need to refresh your mind." I take Finn's hand and walked lead him to our cars.
