Chapter 35

Summer has been passed. It's only two weeks left before we enter the classes and back to reality.

I miss Finn, its hard to contact him since he is in army. He only can call me once in a week and it's sucks.

But the one I miss the most is one and only Noah Puckerman. We havent meet yet since I left him in Lima. He already move to New York and we only can texting or skyping everyday.

"It's been one hour since you looked at Puck's photo." Mercedes sit down next to me.

"I miss him." I sighed.

"Call him." Mercedes simply said.

"I called him like every hour, Cedes." I rolled my eyes.

"You got his address in New York right? Why dont you come there and surprise him? Take express train to New York." Mercedes said.

"You sure that it will be a good idea?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Of course. Who wont be surprise when their love one surprise them? Puck will be happy." Mercedes smiled at me.

"You never miss, Sam?" I asked Mercedes.

"Nope. I like someone else."

"Tank?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Okay how could you know that?" Mercedes sighed.

"We lived in the same apartment, Mercedes and I can see that your eyes look different everytime you meet Tank or start talking about him." I rolled my eyes.

"He is gorgeous beside he is a rock band vocalist." Mercedes giggled.

"Everyone is going crazy when they meet a thing called love." I walked to the kitchen.

"So you dont?" Mercedes asked.

"Not really." I drink my water and place the glass on the sink.

"You dont because Puck is not here and you cant meet him." Mercedes laughed.

"I will come to New York tomorrow! And surprise him." I grinned.

"Haha good luck with that, sweetie." Mercedes chuckled.

"You wanna join?" I asked.

"Nope. I have to do something tomorrow." Mercedes said to me.

I take a look at the clock it's almost midnight. I really want to call Puck but he might be already fall asleep. Better surprise him tomorrow.

"I'm sleepy. Good night, E." Mercedes turn off the TV and walked to her room.

"Good night." I turn off the lamp and walked to my room.

I lay my body on my bed. What shall I bring for Puck tomorrow? A flower? He is a guy. I dont know what shall I give to a man.

Maybe I could find something tomorrow. I better slee now before I meet Puck in New York tomorrow.

I'm ready to meet Puck. I will give him a leather jacket so I need to buy it first in Time Square.

I wear my mini flare skirt and my ankle boots and a blue long sleeve also a beanie hat. I take my phone and my bag and I'm ready to go.

"Someone will meet her boyfriend today." Mercedes chuckled.

"You wanna go out?" I asked Mercedes.

"Nope, I wanna decorate my room today." Mercedes said.

"Alright, I have to go. I dont want to miss another minute to see Puck. See you!" I wave Mercedes a goodbye and went out.

I walked to the railway station to take LA express to New York. Puck's address is still on my hand. I really cant wait to meet him.

I take my phone from my pocket and decided to text Puck.

To: My MohawkDont go anywhere I send you a package today

From: My MohawkAlright. What is that babe?

To: My MohawkSecret haha miss you

From: My MohawkHaha miss you too bad ass. Wish you were here

I'm smiling looking at his texts. I will make his wish come true. I will.

* 30 minutes later *

I went out from railway station. I dont know exactly where is his apartment located. I need to ask someone who is the real New York citizen.

I looked around and see an officer is standing on the edge of the street. Maybe he knows where is should be.

"Excuse me, sir. Do you know this place?" I showed him the address.

"Huston Apartmen? Just go ahead until you meet the traffic light then turn left, you can see the sign of Huston Apartment. It's only takes fifteen minutes by walking." He smiled at me.

"Go ahead and turn left. Thank you so much, sir." I smiled back at him.

"You're welcome." He said.

I walked away and follow what he said. Just go ahead until you meet traffict light. New York is such an another beautiful place besides LA. Kurt and Rachel are also live here, maybe I can visit them after I meet Puck.

I keep walking until I passed the traffic light. I looked at my left side and there you go, I can see the sign of Huston Apartment. Be prepared, Puck. I'm gonna surprise you.

I entered the apartment. Puck lives in the second floor with apartment number 210. I really cant wait to meet him today.

"208...209....210! This one!" I mumbled.

I'm standing in front of his apartment. I knocked the door and waiting for an answer.

"Coming!" A guy familiar voice from inside.

The door slowly open and Puck is the one who standing there.

"Surpriseeeeeeee!" I chuckled.

Puck just standing frozen and gasped. He might be still wondering is it dream or not.

"Emily?" He frowned.

"Who's that, baby? Our beer girl is coming?" A girl voice from inside his apartment.

"You were with a girl?" Tears slowly fall down on my face.

"I-I can explain, babe." Puck said.

"Who's that?" A girl coming out only with a lingerie.

"Nothing to explain. I already wondering since I saw you topless and there is a red mark of a girl lipstick on your neck." I cried."I came here only want to give this for you!" I throw my paperbag at him and run away.

My heart broke into pieces. I came far from LA, take a morning train only was for him but what he has done? He cheated behind my back with a girl who I dont know.

He lied to me. He promise me that he wont cheat but what was that? I'm hurt. I keep running until I get to the railway station. He doesnt even follow me or catch me. He just let me go.

I got into my train to back to LA. I will never come to New York again. I wont come to New York or meet him anymore.

I wipe my tears and but the tears slowly fall down to my face. Fortunately it's not really crowded in the train.

Suddenly someone gave me some tissue paper. I turned my face and a guy who is standing in front of me mimics to wipe my tears.

I take that tissue paper and half smiled at him. He just nodded and smiled at me. Next one its my turn to stop.

"Thank you." I halfsmiled at that guy.

"Its okay." He smiled at me.

I went out from the train and running to get into my apartment. I really wanna lock myself in my room right now.

I knocked the door and waiting for Mercedes to open the door.

"E, whats wrong?" Mercedes gasped when she see me cry.

"He was with a girl. He cheated with someone else." I cried.

"Come here." Mercedes take my hand to get in and sit down on the sofa.

"I came there for him. He said that he really want to meet me but what I found he was made out with someone else who I dont know." I'm crying.

"Ssshhh do you see they did that?" Mercedes hugged me.

"I dont but there were proof they did that. That girl called Puck 'baby' then Puck were topless and there was redmark of girl lipstick on his neck and that girl only wearing a lingerie. I keep my heart only for him here but all he did only hurt me."

"Sweetie stop crying, you dont deserve this. If Finn knows about this he might be already kill Puck, right? Come on, how the hell the head of cheerio who is the most beautiful girl in McKinley where every guys there have eyes for her is crying? I'm here. You still have me, Finn and the others." Mercedes smiled at me.

"Anything that start with cheating will end up with cheating. I know that." I wipe my tears.

"Come on, dont waste your time. I bough much new stationary. We better decorate our room now." Mercedes smiled at me.

"Mercedes, you are an angel that came from heaven for me." I said to her.

"Thats overeact, E." Mercedes laughed.

"Seriously you are." I smiled at her.

"You too, girl. Come on we better have fun." Mercedes chuckled and take my hand to her room.

"Its raining outside." Mercedes said.

"Yes, because I'm crying so the sky is also crying." I said as I looked at the rain from the window in the kitchen.

"Stop it Emily." Mercedes sighed.

"What do you want for our dinner tonight?" I asked.

"Anything you make for me, I will love it." Mercedes said.

"You're not in diet program right?"

"No one of us in diet program, E."

"Alright. Just checked." I simply said and start cooking.

Mercedes is sitting on the sofa and watching the TV. I could hear the sound of rain outside and suddenly something come to my mind. What the hell Puck doing right now?

I need to forget him. I really need to. I have a life and I need to live. Forget him, Emily. Forget him.

"Artie told me that he cant wait for senior year." Mercedes said.

"Senior year, two options heaven or hell. Thats it." I said without looking at her.

"You already call Finn this week?" Mercedes asked.

"Nope, I'm waiting for his call."

Suddenly the door bells rings. I keep cooking for me and Mercedes dinner tonight. Maybe its Nana, our old neighborhood, she usually gave us some delicious food.

"Coming!" Mercedes yelled.

I could heard a sound of door opened but Mercedes didnt say anything or talking with someone.

"Who's that, Mercedes?" I asked without looking at her.

No answer.

I turned around and Puck is standing in front of that door with his wet clothes because of the raining outside.

"I will continue to cook for our dinner." Mercedes simply said and walked to kitchen.

I walked slowly to the door and let him in.

"Come in." I said to him and close the door.

"Listen I can explain." Puck catched my hand and sitting down on the sofa.

"There is nothing to explain anymore." My eyes watering.

"E, looked at me." Puck cup my cheeks to facing him."She was just another slut." Puck said.

"Another slut? So it's mean she is not the only one? Puck dont you realize that you cheated behind my back. You promise me to not do that but what you've done? I came far from here to surprise you but what you did was more surprising me." I cried.

"Fine! It was hard for me to stay away from you and keep that but I swear, I have no feelings for them. I keep my heart for you." Puck said.

"You have you. I know that I took your freedom and now I gave your freedom back. You have yourself with you and you dont have to think about me anymore. I set you free." I cried.

"You breaking up with me? After how far we've been through?!" Puck yelled.

"You started it first! I keep in faith with you but you broke me. You broke me up into pieces. You hurt me and its really hurt. I cant do this anymore. I want to set you free."

"You are the first girl that I love the most and I've never sleep with, baby."

"I cant. I'm broke, Puck. I'm hurt." I turned my face.

Puck cup my cheeks to facing him. He then kissed me. He kissed my lips and my face with full of tears.

"I love you, E." Puck said and about to leave.

I catched his hand to make him stop. "It's raining. You can stay for a night."

Puck sighed and go back to sit. I wipe my tears and decided to walk into my room.

"You can give my dinner for Puck, I'm not hungry, Mercedes." I said and walked into my room and locked myself there.

** Puck's P.O.V **

"Puck, I'm so sorry." Mercedes said to me.

"Thats all my fault! How can you be so stupid, Puck!" I said angrily.

"I will try to talk with her, tomorrow. This is your dinner." Mercedes give me a plate of food.

"You dont need to do that. She wont change her mind." I place that plate on the table in front of us."The rain is gone. I better go back to my apartment now before things getting worse here." I said to Mercedes.

"You sure that you dont want to stay for a night?" Mercedes asked me.

"No, it will hurt her." I simply said.

"E, Puck want to leave." Mercedes knocked her door room.

No answer.

Mercedes turned her face at me and lift her shoulder up.

"Just give this to her." I give a heart necklace to Mercedes.

"Take care, Puck." Mercedes halfsmiled at me.

"You too. Dont let her get hurt anymore." I said and walked off.

It's not really her who broke but so do I. My heart really broke into pieces. I cant imagine that I should break up with her but I know that this is all of my fault and I cant get that back.

** Emily's P.O.V **

"E, Puck want to leave." Mercedes knocked my door.

"Stay please stay." I'm crying.

My heart said that I'm stupid to do this to him but I cant get through this anymore. We broke. We broke because of everything we did.

"E, can I come?" Mercedes asked.

"Just come in." I wipe my tears.

"Puck told me to give you this." Mercedes give me a heart necklace."Hey stop crying. Not only you who get hurt but also him. You both hurt yourself. Breaking up is your both choice and you have to face it. Love will always find a way, E." Mercedes said to me.

"T-thank you."

"You still dont wanna eat your dinner?" Mercedes asked.

I shake my head. "No, sorry."

"It's okay. Good night sweetie. Hope you feel better tomorrow." Mercedes close the door and went out from my room.

I'm still holding the necklace Puck gave me. There is his name on it. A love shape as the pendant with his name on the back side. I place that necklace in my drawer.

I lay my body back to my bed and forget everything that happened today. Forget everything.
