"Have you talked to Iguro?" I asked her but when her face turned to confusion, I also became confused "Why? What does Iguro need to tell me?" I facepalmed internally, "Just talk to him now, call me after" I hang up in emberassment, and actually physically facepalm

"Why are you facepalming" I die again in emberassment when I remembered I had a roommate at the living room with me "I just forgot something, I only noticed 'til now"ni laughed awkwardly while dying inside. How many awkward and embarrassing interaction will I have this evening?

She called me back, after an hour "So?" I couldn't decipher what her face was telling me "It was just a misunderstanding, that was just a colleague" I internally roll my eyes, I'm not saying he's cheating, but that is suspicious "Sorry I overreacted, if my boyfriend, who is supposed to be at Kyoto, but is in Tokyo with another woman, you would have also been suspicious" she nodded "That is true, but why didn't you let him explain?" I shrugged "I didn't need the explanation, you did"

she nodded before her face became a smirk, mischievous smirk "How's Giyu, you two seem to be getting along" I roll my eyes, I know where this is going "We have been getting along well" she frowned "You're no fun, Shinobu. Have you two been... Getting along" she winked but I just rested my head to my hand "Nothing has been going on between us" she frowned, then laughed

"Alright, I'm going to sleep, see you tomorrow" we both waved goodbye before I left the living room, and went to my room before I saw Giyu's room opened. I peeped in and saw Giyu, on his bed, sitting with both his hands covering his face

I came in worried, "Are you ok?" I sat down next to him while he put down his hands and looked at me "I'm fine" he tried to assure me, but I didn't buy it. Instead of saying something though, I stayed silent, and just looked at him with worry. He finally gave in "I'm just reminiscing on some memories" he gave me a weak smile "Are you sure?" He nodded before I stood up and left the room. It might've been more, but I didn't want to be nosy

"A kidnapping of an 8 year old child, the mother is at the front door, ready for questioning" we nod and pull out our pen and paper, before approaching the woman in her mid 40s,

"Are you Ms. Shimizu" she nods "Where were you when she was kidnapped" she started crying, I gave her my handkerchief, "I was sleeping, when I heard some shuffling in the house, normally I would've shrugged it off, but I felt something bad happened" her voice started breaking at the last part "When I opened the lights upstairs, I saw her room was open, I went in and saw the window open and her not there anymore" she started crying hard again in my handkerchief while I tried to comfort her

"Did you have anybody else at the house who we could question?" She wiped her tears and shook her head "No, my son was here too, but he left 6:00 pm, and went to Kyoto. He's been worried sick and will return at night" we nodded and entered the house

We get fingerprints from the doorknob and the window handle. "Thankfully this person is not a professional, they have prints everywhere" Giyu says while getting fingerprints "Normally now, someone would call for ransom, but there isn't" I point out how weird that is. Kidnapping kids is only either done for ransom or child trafficking. If it's the latter, we have to move quick

We go back to HQ to scan for prints. "If this is child trafficking, normally it would be done in public or somewhere outside the house. Why would someone do all that work when there are thousands at the day?" I shrug, he is right "Do you think she has an enemy?" Giyu shakes his head "She works an office job, and doesn't have many neighbours, that is unlikely" He said before the scanner beeps

What it said surprised the both of us. "Shimizu Yuto, her brother"
