Chapter 1

"Who's your new roommate?" My pink haired friend asked "His name is Giyu" Mitsuri got up from her chair "A he?!" She screamed making me face palm. I knew what Mitsuri would do is just try to tell me to get with him

"Is he handsome" I looks up trying to remember his face, "I think he was" Mitsuri had a look of disappointment on her face "You just forgot" I chuckled "I didn't notice it, his personality was more interesting" I laughed and Mitsuri was curious "How so?" Mitsuri asked while caressing her chin "He was silent" Mitsuri rolled her eyes "Silent is not an interesting personality" I roll my eyes "If you interact with him, you'll get it"

It was just a normal day of work for me. I enter the room with an iced coffee in my hands when I see Giyu at one of the desks. I look at him for a while before approaching him in confusion

"You work here now?" He nods making me confused "You're a detective but also can't talk and has social anxiety" I chuckle while he nods

Chief Ubayashiki walks in and Giyu stands up to go to him while everyone looks at them. "This will be your new co worker." Everyone looks at him "This is Giyu Tomioka, he is from the Kyoto Division and transfered here due to the unfortunate death of his partner. He doesn't talk much but he is one of the best in solving cases. By tomorrow, I'll announce his new partner, which will be chosen by him. Be nice" Chief Ubayashiki exits while everyone approaches him to introduce themselves except me and Mitsuri

"Tell me that's your roommate" Mitsuri said while excitedly pushing and pulling my shoulders "That is him" Mitsuri squealed "How did his personality distract you from his looks? He is so handsome" I roll my eyes "Iguro went to Kyoto and you're already gawking at other men" I tease making her stop gawking him and look at me "You know me Shinobu! I love everyone, I just love Iguro more" I laugh while walking away from Mitsuri to my desk

"Do you have a new case?" Mitsuri's loud voice startled me "I do, it's a homicide" I hand over the case file which Mitsuri looks at "A suicide, but new evidence suggests a homicide. Good for you, you have interesting cases" I look back at my computer and scrolls through the evidence file when she sees something and clicks on it "Wow" Mitsuri said while leaning close to the screen "Good thing someone did the autopsy, or this would easily be a homicide" I click my tongue in amusement

For the day, I looked at the victim's background, potential suspects and did background checks to them too and collected all of their contact numbers for questioning

Chief Ubayashiki comes in startling everybody before they stand up and bow. He gestures them to sit down and starts to speak "Giyu already has someone in mind to be his partner" everyone smiled in anticipation "It will be Shinobu" Giyu stood up "Shinobu is known to be great at interrogation and has solved very tricky cases by herself and helped a lot of cases with her great communication. That's why I picked her" he sat back down before Chief Ubayashiki left

I sighed before Giyu approached me "Here is the case file, I've sent you an email with the whole evidence folder and all that is needed, plus my plan for tomorrow" I stated making him nod and go to his desk "Can I sit beside, considering we're partners now" he asked while scratching the back of his neck while I just nod, not looking at him "It was a homicide, but new autopsy results suggest a homicide due to the bullet's trajectory, interesting" I nod at him while fixing up my papers

After a few hours I received an email from Giyu. I open it and see a 20 page document "What is this for?" I asked while looking at him "That's the new case file I made, also detailing my suspicions and compiling you're plan too" I smiled at him before going back to my screen and sighing before laying back and taking a nap

I get woken up by a nudge at my shoulder. I open my eyes and sees Giyu, startling me. "You can't just put your face that close" I laugh while fixing up my things while he laughs awkwardly "Thank you for waking me up" I blurt out while gesturing for us to leave

"You have a car?" I ask while going to the bus when I see him going to another street. He shakes his head making me nod and sit at the bus stop. I get startled when someone nudges my shoulder lightly "I'm also taking the bus" he says before sitting beside me

"Do you have any friends you left at Kyoto" he nods making me curious "Who?" He looks at me "None of your business" I became annoyed at the answer "Since when were you a bitch?" He shrugs before standing up, looking at the upcoming bus

He goes in while I go next. We sit together due to the bus being full. I'm still annoyed at what he said to me, but calmed down a little. I get it, personal life is private.
