Chapter 9

Jiang Cheng thought it was cute but he put on his usual expression as he walked back to his room without replying. XiChen followed happily, but Jiang Cheng closed the door before XiChen could enter. XiChen pouted and stood outside the door.

"WanYinnnn, you're not letting me in again?" XiChen asked. Jiang Cheng thought that his whining is cute but he didn't want to make XiChen feel sad. However, he had to consider whatever might happen if he allowed XiChen to enter!

Jiang Cheng was still thinking when he heard noises coming from above. He ran out and did not see XiChen, only to find him on the roof with a piece of tile in his hand. "Lan Huan! What are you doing?!" Jiang Cheng exclaimed.

XiChen saw Jiang Cheng and smiled "WanYin, I was thinking I could just climb into your room" At that very moment, Jiang Cheng was very glad he came out.

Jiang Cheng sighed "Lan Huan, come down now" Even under the moonlight, Jiang Cheng could see XiChen's pout, which did not affect how handsome he looked at all.

XiChen asked suspiciously "Will you let me in if I come down?" Jiang Cheng sighed in defeat as he said "Do what you want", then headed back into his room.

XiChen smiled as he jumped down and followed immediately. XiChen hugged Jiang Cheng "WanYin, I love you"

Jiang Cheng blushed, even more so when a disciple outside walked past hurriedly. Jiang Cheng tried to push XiChen away as he grumbled "Lan Huan! At least close the door!"

XiChen nodded his head and closed the door, then hugged Jiang Cheng again, with an additional kiss on the lips. Jiang Cheng blushed furiously as the innocent peck soon became a hungry kiss filled with lust and desire from both sides.

XiChen pushed Jiang Cheng down on the bed while still kissing him. Jiang Cheng moaned into the kiss, making himself feel embarrassed but making XiChen turned on.

XiChen kissed Jiang Cheng deeply, enjoying the taste between them, the sweetness in it and the warmth in his heart. XiChen pulled away and saw Jiang Cheng panting. He got up and sat beside Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng watched as XiChen handsomely turned Liebing and placed it in front of his lips, then started blowing a melodious song.

Jiang Cheng grabbed XiChen's hand "Lan Huan, what are you doing?" XiChen smiled and replied "You like it when I play Liebing. I'll play it for you."

XiChen then raised Liebing and started playing again. Jiang Cheng smiled as he leaned his shoulder against XiChen. Anyway, XiChen wouldn't remember anything when he wakes up. Jiang Cheng then enjoyed this moment as he fell asleep.

XiChen watched Jiang Cheng fall asleep then laid him down in a sleeping position and cuddled him. "Silly, looks like you're honest when I'm drunk" XiChen smiled as he kissed Jiang Cheng's forehead.

XiChen had sobered up during their heated kiss. To not push Jiang Cheng too far or force him into doing anything, XiChen decided to play Liebing for Jiang Cheng.

XiChen cuddled Jiang Cheng tight, giving him some forehead kisses and pecks on his cheeks and lips, then held him tighter while drifting off to sleep, feeling contented.

XiChen then happily spent the next 4 days either going on dates or night hunts with Jiang Cheng or watching him handling his Sect matters.

The next day, XiChen was bugging Jiang Cheng. "WanYin, I have to return tomorrow. Let's go on a date. Hmmm?"

Jiang Cheng continued looking through his scrolls "Lan Huan, it's not that I don't want to. I really can't."

XiChen gave him a pout and Jiang Cheng sighed "At least let me finish these first." XiChen immediately nodded and sat by the side, helping Jiang Cheng grind the ink.

Jiang Cheng only finished his work in the late evening. They then headed to a tea shop for dinner. After dinner, XiChen walked out and held Jiang Cheng's hand before strolling to Lotus Pier but Jiang Cheng did not move. XiChen turned around, confused.

"Let's go for a boat ride" Jiang Cheng suggested. Seeing XiChen's shocked look, Jiang Cheng walked towards Lotus Pier "Forget it if you don't want"

XiChen immediately grabbed Jiang Cheng and pulled him back "I want! I want! Hehe, WanYin, these days you are getting more and more proactive"

Jiang Cheng looked away "If you don't like it then-" XiChen interrupted him by saying "I like it! I love it! I love you, WanYin" then gave Jiang Cheng a kiss on the lips.

Jiang Cheng blushed and led the way to the boat. Jiang Cheng rented the boat from a fisherman he knows well and they rowed to the middle of the Lotus Pond, where he and Wei Ying always played.

Jiang Cheng glanced at XiChen then asked "Have you been on a boat ride before?" XiChen nodded his head with an "Mn" then continued "A-Yao often asked me to go on boat rides when going for night hunts"

Jiang Cheng raised his brows and replied "I see. Then have you tried Lotus Root soup before?" XiChen smiled and replied "Yea, but one of the best ones I have tried is when I was escaping Cloud Recesses. I was starving at that time, only knowing I had to escape and I met A-Yao who had some Lotus Root soup with him."

They then continued talking and after a while, Jiang Cheng was feeling angrier and angrier as XiChen kept mentioning A-Yao. He decided to row them back to the docks.

As they were reaching the docks, XiChen started chuckling. Jiang Cheng asked curiously "Why are you laughing?"

XiChen shook his head "Nothing, I just remembered how A-Yao would always get seasick. I still don't get why he always wanted to ride boat rides."

Jiang Cheng stared at XiChen with a frown. XiChen did not notice and continued "That reminds me, A-Yao knows-"

Jiang Cheng could not take it anymore. "Sect Leader Lan! Do you know what you have been saying?! Literally everything you said was A-Yao A-Yao A-Yao. You went on boat rides and night hunts with him. Do you think I like hearing all that?!

If you like him so much then go be with him! Why do you even say that you like me?! Are you sure you are not seeing me as a replacement of him?!" Jiang Cheng shouted before he stormed off, giving XiChen no chance to reply or deny.

XiChen quickly anchored the boat and left some money inside, then chased after Jiang Cheng. However, on the way, a golden butterfly came to him relaying a message from his clan.

XiChen quickly went back to Lotus Pier and knocked on Jiang Cheng's door. Jiang Cheng didn't reply and XiChen figured that he must still be angry. After telling Jiang Cheng he has to go back and he'll explain another time, XiChen hurriedly left.

A few days later, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan visited Lotus Pier. Jiang Cheng was in a bad mood. He saw Wei Ying and asked "Where is Zewu Jun?"

"You're still calling him Zewu Jun? Aren't your official now?" Wei Ying teased. Before Jiang Cheg could smack him, Lan Zhan stood between them "Brother is handling Jin GuangYao's fierce corpse."

Jiang Cheng frowned "What?" Wei Ying looked surprised "Did brother-in-law not tell you before he left? Jin GuangYao's corpse had been wandering about Cloud Recesses and we figured he was looking for brother-in-law"

Jiang Cheng clenched his fist as he walked away, leaving those two standing there. When he was alone, he was already fuming mad. 'So Lan XiChen left earlier without a word because of Jin GuangYao?!

So now Jin GuangYao came back and XiChen can really be with him! Looks like I really was a replacement! Shit! How could I have believed him so easily?! And I thought he really liked me' Jiang Cheng thought as he felt like smashing everything in sight.

Jiang Cheng's right hand man then appeared with a cup of tea and some snacks. "Master Jiang, this tea is from my parents. It helps to calm one's mind. Please try some"

Jiang Cheng nodded and tried the tea and it really was calming. He thanked his right hand man and asked him to accomodate Wei Ying, before finishing the tea.
