I heard ruffling inside the house. "Are they still awake at this hour?"
"If you were awake, walking by your lonesome. You should see them." He reached the gate, moved aside and opened it to let me in. I thanked him as I walked to the porch, feeling the cold breeze hit my face. He opened the door and gestured to me to follow.
When I walked in, I was met with three boys spread around the room watching the T.V. I recognized them all.
First was Two-bit Matthews who sat on the floor. I forgot his actual name, or that's what I think; everyone addresses him as so. He is a blonde with light blue eyes. He was wearing a gray sleeveless mickey mouse shirt, jeans and socks with a hole on his toe on his left foot. He always had a Mickey related picture printed on his shirts. It was obvious, Two-bit was surely the only boy who had a childish shirt. I had Two-bit in one class, that was Chemistry which I damn hated that class. All those formulas and shit messed with my head, and always got low grades. Mr. Nolan always asks if everything is right at home... Two-bit would thankfully distract the teacher with his jokes to the point he'd be sent to detention several times . They were amusing though, Mr. Nolan is just boring.
Next to him was Steve Randle..Steve's a brunette with greenish-blue eyes. He had dark brown hair which was combed back into complicated swirls. He was wearing a white tee with light blue jeans and mismatched socks.I've known Steve ever since the first year of middle school. He was very reckless, aggressive, and made the teacher's life complete hell. That's what they said. I had him in three classes, two with his best bud Sodapop. I always wondered what was up with him. No, he didn't hurt me, he looked like he would bite. But he never did, or at least not anyone I know. I just knew he jumped a few Socs then and there when they'd get too close to Sodapop or Johnny Cade who went to school for a bit then or just plain and simply because he hated Socs. But two years from now, I heard he dropped out. Never knew why.
Last was Sodapop Curtis who rested on his couch.
Sodapop's the handsome boy that every girl crushes on. And I'll admit, I am too. Ever since his mom introduced me to him I was head over heels for him. He was sweet and definitely good lookin'. His mom always made him walk with me to the grocery store to buy our ingredients. I would tell her it was fine, but she said a girl should never walk by her lonesome. So it was decided upon. But years passed from then. He still looked the same as I remember two years ago as well. His movie star smile, his hair, his charm, those baby blue eyes...Β
Β He was a drop-out just like Steve, I really didn't talk much to both when we were in classes. Especially since every girl would crawl over to him like honey attracting bees. He was like candy to the eyes of every girl, more to Sandy. Who I heard he'd been dating now. In highschool we had Biology together, yeah there was Sandy and Steve. We were seated next to each other, but we didn't talk as much as we did when we were kids. I had Algebra and History with him too but he failed those two. I don't judge him though, History tends to be difficult and confusing. Well, there was this day when our Biology teacher assigned Steve, Sodapop, Sandy, and I in a group. I wasn't so pleased with it, for I had to watch Sandy flirt with Sodapop most of the time.

"Anyone from this group know the formula?" Steve groaned .
"No." Replied Sandy and Sodapop at the same time causing both to smile
"Y/n do you?" Steve asked making the group look at me. I blushed and cleared my throat, "I uh... Yeah." It wasn't really that I was smart. I just happened to pay close attention the whole time. "Great, we really need you as a teammate. You're the smart one." Sandy smiled
"Mhm, that's what I thought. I can't be failing' all these classes.. Algebra and History are enough." Soda sighed. It was then that I knew Sodapop liked Sandy, but my heart never accepted the fact. I tried to move on..everyone seemed to have a date then, like Evie and Steve.

Β On the T.V was a night Mickey Mouse show, he was on a train station or something. Two-bit was surrounded by beer bottles and a plate with a slice of chocolate cake on his lap. Steve was about to steal a piece but Two-bit noticed and slapped his hand. Dallas sighed and slammed the door causing the boys to turn around and stare at us. "Y/n?..Wow well haven't you changed." Sodapop said as he sat straight on the couch. "Don't tell me you're dating' Dally, Y/n? Because you're cute to be hanging out with this doofus." Two-bit checked me out and smiled. "Sure is pretty cute." Sodapop agreed.
Me, being called cute? No way, I surely look like a puddle of mud compared to 'em, especially in my beat up state."No, I brought her over, she was bawling her eyes out in the movie house." Β
