Today, the girls and I were in Professor Wizgiz's class, and I was just waiting for class to end so the girls and I could talk to Layla more. "Magic is based on the principle of inconsistent continuity. And so, there is no direct cause-effect relationship between..." Professor Wizgiz was explaining, but the whole class and I suddenly got distracted as we all saw Piff flying through the window.

"Piff" Flora and I cried out as Piff stopped flying and was free-falling. Suddenly, Layla ran in, and she jumped towards Piff catching her "Yay!" Bloom cried out as we all clapped for Layla "Report to the Director's Office straight away, lass!" Professor Wizgiz told Layla making her sigh in relief that Piff was alright.

~𝕃𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝔻𝕒𝕪~

After class, the girls and I were called to stay in the classroom by Miss Faragonda. 𝐼 𝑤𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐹𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑎 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙 𝑢𝑠... I thought as Miss Faragonda and Layla arrived "My dear girls, as you may have guessed, the reason I've asked you to come here is to organize a rescue mission. As you know, fairies and pixies have always been the closest of friends. So we must free them at any cost." Miss Faragonda told us.

"At any cost, huh? Does that mean we get to skip classes and still get full credits?" Stella asked with a smile. "After everything Layla's gone through, can't you think of something other than skipping classes?" Miss Faragonda asked Stella "Well, actually, it's just that if it's such a dangerous mission why not send the professors?" Stella asked Miss Faragonda.

"Hey!" The girls and I all yelled at Stella "What?" Stella asked us as she didn't know what she just said. 𝐼𝑡 𝑠𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑆𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑎 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑛'𝑡 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑤𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑛 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑙𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠... I thought "No, no, that's all right. Stella has raised a very good point. As professors, our job is to guide our students. And in case of an emergency, we have to be available to help everyone." Miss Faragonda said.

"So in other words, it's up to us to turn this 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 into a pauper?" Musa asked Faragonda. "You've all shown great skill in the fight against the Trix. However, the pixies are your priority now. It is not wise to challenge an unknown enemy." Miss Faragonda said, "So we should avoid direct confrontation." I said connecting the dots.

"Exactly. Don't forget, this dark knight absorbs magic energy." Miss Faragonda told us. "That means he can turn our powers against us." Tecna said "Layla will be your guide. She's the only one who can find the entrance to the cave. I want you to look for clues that could help us discover the identity of this evil creature. Now, follow me." Miss Faragonda said as we all followed her out of the classroom.

"Now, I'd like to point out that some of you will not be taking part in this rescue mission." Miss Faragonda told the girls and I. "Huh?" I said as Bloom and Flora ran towards Miss Faragonda "But we do everything together." Bloom said "Yes! And no one gets left behind ever!" Flora said "Each of you has powers better suited to some missions than others. Would you send a frog to live in a hot, dry desert?" Miss Faragonda asked us. "I wouldn't want to be the poor frog. I'd dry out in about 1.4 hours." Tecna said "You don't have to worry about that, Tecna. You'll stay at Alfea." Miss Faragonda said as she walked up the stairs, while the girls and I stood there shocked.

"Uh, excuse me but her techno-magic..." Flora started saying, but Miss Faragonda interrupted her. "...Will help us monitor the situation from here. Winter, Bloom and Stella will go on the mission." Miss Faragonda said, "But why only us three?" I asked "Yeah. Why?" Stella asked as well "Because Winter and Bloom possess the Two Dragon Fires, the two strongest magic of all, while Stella's Sun magic will be very helpful should they ever come up against the Shadow Monsters." Miss Faragonda said.

"What about Flora's plants? My sound waves? Aren't they worth anything?" Musa asked, "Come into the hall, please." Miss Faragonda said as we all followed her up the stairs and into the Main Hall.

"Wait here, girls." Miss Faragonda said as we all stood in the middle of the room. "What is she doing?" Flora asked "I have no idea..." I said, while Layla shrugged her shoulders "𝑵𝒊𝒎𝒃𝒖𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒙 𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒕 𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒔!" Miss Faragonda yelled out as she used her magic to turn the hall into some kind of dark cave. "Musa, Flora, use your spells." Miss Faragonda said as I turned to Musa and Flora and saw that they both transformed "Ready!" Flora said as she got ready to use her spells, but nothing happened "Nothing is working. There are no living plants down here." Flora said.

"But we still got sound. Everyone stand back!" Musa told us as she used one of her spells, but it caused the cave to start rumbling. "Oh, no! It's echoing!" Musa cried out "Oh, no. The vibrations are causing a cave-in!" Tecna cried out as the girls and I jumped away trying not to get hit "No!" Musa cried out as a giant boulder was going to fall on top of her, but Miss Faragonda canceled the spell and we were all back in the hall. "Is the cave really like that?" Stella asked scared "Wow. That was even better than the computer-controlled simulator." Tecna said "Musa, listen to me. You're just as important as your friends. Your powers will be needed soon enough." Miss Faragonda told Musa who was crying, then Flora ran over to her and held her hand making Musa smile.

After we all agreed to the plan made by Miss Faragonda, Bloom, Stella, Layla and I all changed and got ready for the mission and right now we were in the Courtyard. As soon as Piff heard we were going on this mission, she started crying really loud "Come on, it's okay. I'll be back soon. There you go. Now that's better. You'll see, Piff. When I come back, I'll have all the pixies with me." Layla told Piff making her stop crying.

"Layla, take these special seeds of light with you." Miss Faragonda said as she handed Layla these golden seeds. "Do they have magic powers?" Layla asked Miss Faragonda "Yes. In an emergency, they will drive away any kind of Shadow Creatures, but only once." Miss Faragonda told her.

"Well, girls, are you all ready for your mission?" Miss Faragonda asked us. "With only four fairies, I don't think it will be sufficient." Tecna said, "A small enough group can move quickly and is much less noticeable." Miss Faragonda told Tecna "And besides, they're not going alone." Saladin said.

Suddenly, the girls and I see the Specialists arrive on their Wind Riders. "Yes! The Specialists!" Stella said smiling "No fair! You three get to have all the fun!" Musa said, "I'm very happy that you've come to help, Saladin." Miss Faragonda told him "It's my pleasure to answer your call, Faragonda. I will lend you three of my best Red Fountain Specialists, Jace, Sky and Brandon." Saladin said as the guys waved at the girls and I.

"All right!" Stella said as she, Bloom and I sat next to Layla while we high-fived. "Winter and Jace. Stella and Brandon. Bloom and Sky. Goodness gracious. What a coincidence. Layla, looks like you'll have to play chaperone." Tecna told Layla jokingly "You mean that love is their specialty?" Layla asked. "You can say that again, cutie. Are you the new girl?" Brandon asked Layla "He heard me." Layla said as she held onto my arm hiding into my shoulder "Well, girls, are you ready to go?" Sky asked us.

"Layla, you'll be riding with Riven for now." Saladin told her. "Ah!" Musa cried out and I could tell that Musa still liked Riven, then a Red Fountain ship arrived and hovered over us "Hey, girls! How's it going?" Timmy said waving at us as he opened the hatch of the ship.

"Hi, Timmy!" Tecna said waving at him "Ready when you are, big boy." Stella told Brandon. "Hey, Winter." Jace said as he gave me a helmet "Hey, Jace. Do you mind if I drive this time around?" I asked him "Sure, go right ahead. I mean you did prove me wrong on our last date." Jace said making me smile "Well, I'm about to prove you wrong again." I said putting on my helmet and got on the front.

"Come on. Get on." Riven said as he handed Layla her helmet. "Who says you get to drive?" Layla asked "Huh?" Riven said as Sky and Brandon looked confused "What? You think I've never ridden a motorbike before?" Layla asked the guys as she puts on her helmet and got on the front of the Wind Rider. "Hey, looks like Layla and I are taking the lead on this." I said as Layla and I high-fived "Go, Winter! Go, Layla!" Flora, Tecna, and Musa cried out as we both started the engines and ride out of Alfea.

"Okay, hang on!" Sky yelled out to all of us as we all drove the Wind Riders into the air and into the Red Fountain ship. After parking the Wind Riders, we all got settled in the ship and headed for the caves "So who's the bad guy this time?" Brandon asked the girls and I "Dunno, but we heard he's pretty tough." Stella told him. "Yeah but the Specialists can tackle absolutely anything. You should see all the cool stuff we got for this mission. Rope, grapplers, techno-magic gear, and this." Brandon said "Guys." Layla said, "Tell me about it." I said as we giggled.

Then, Brandon took out a really interesting-looking gadget and showed us. 𝐻𝑚𝑚... 𝑇𝑒𝑐𝑛𝑎 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔... I thought "It's so cool. Look. It's a Demolecularizer T29." Brandon told us "Demo... de-moisturizer what?" Stella asked confused as she couldn't even say it "Codatorta, our teacher, says we can actually use it to pass through walls and other solid objects." Brandon said. "Uh, Brandon..." Layla said as she tried to get his attention, but he ignored her "Timmy, show the girls what the Owl's new engine can do." Brandon said "Sure." Timmy said as he drives the ship really fast surprising the girls and I.

"Eighteen dragon-power, a titanium frame. What a dream machine!" Brandon said still bragging. "Excuse me! Layla has something to tell you guys!" I yelled out "Yes, Layla?" Timmy asked her "The enemy's the other way!" Layla told him "Yeah, well, we'll do that." Timmy said as he turned the ship around going the right way this time.

~𝔸 𝕎𝕙𝕚𝕝𝕖 𝕃𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣~

After flying for a little bit, we soon made it to the valley. "There's the valley. And that river is the one I used to escape from the cave." Layla said pointing the opening to the guys "This is where I should drop you off then?" Timmy asked her.

"No, it's easier to get inside through the old mines in the cave." Layla told Timmy. "Then let's go." Jace said, "Uh, is this the spot?" Timmy asked Layla "Yeah! That's where the tar monsters went after kidnapping the pixies in the forest." Layla said.

"There's no place to land. You'll have to jump out while we're airborne, guys." Timmy told us as he hovered the ship over a landing space "Fine by me." Jace said as he got out a rope with a smirk on his face.

After setting up the rope securely, Jace went down first and Sky followed right after him. "Come on! Everybody out!" Jace said as they both landed 𝐴𝑙𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡, 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑜𝑛 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑖𝑥𝑖𝑒𝑠... I thought "Oh, no!" Stella yelled out as her makeup fell out of her pocket. "Ahhh!" Stella yelled out as she fell out of the ship but luckily she held onto the rope "Everything okay? Was that something important?" Sky asked Stella 𝑂ℎ, 𝑆𝑘𝑦... I thought sighing.

"Yes! My make-up kit!" Stella cried out angrily "Forget it, just slide down the rope!" Jace told her as he held the rope. "Must admit, for once, I miss school!" Stella said as I went down after Stella with Bloom and Layla right after me.

"Good luck, guys!" Riven yelled out to us as we all landed on the ground. "Bye!" "Later!" "See ya!" "Bye-bye!" "Thanks for the lift!" "See you guys later!" We all yelled out as we waved at Riven and Timmy as they left "Follow me. This is the way in." Layla said as we all followed her into the caves.

As we were walking through the caves, Sky was leading us through the dark cave with his flashlight. "Sky! I know you want to save batteries, but give us some light back here. We can't see a thing." Stella said "Woah!" Stella cried out as she tripped and fell on the ground "Stella, are you alright?" I asked as I helped her off the ground "That's it! I've had it. I'll deal with it myself!" Stella said angrily as she transformed.

Then, after she transformed, Stella got out her scepter. "Scepter give us light!" Stella yelled out as she used her magic to light up the cave "Uh, well, I think I liked it better before." I said jokingly as I looked around the cave "At least I can see where we're going." Stella said "But now, we're a beacon for the monsters" Jace told Stella.

Then all of a sudden, we all heard this terrifying screech in the distance. "Uh, guys, I don't know what that is, but let's... get moving." Stella told us as we all ran down the dark cave "I remember this gate. But it was open before." Layla said as we made it to a gate door "It's locked." Sky said. "Leave it to me!" Stella said as she attacked the door, but nothing happened as the gate absorbs her attack "No good. The gate absorbs magic." I told everyone "Our enemy thought of everything." Bloom said. "Except the Specialists. It may be protected from spells but all locks are made to be broken." Brandon said, then I heard growling coming from behind us making me turn around to see the monsters.

"Guys! We've got company!" I yelled out as the shadow monsters approached us. "Brandon, maybe you can open it with Riven's lock pick." Sky said as he held up a lock pick "No, I'm going to blow this thing open. Girls! Buy me some time!" Brandon told the girls and I "It's up to us." I told the girls as we all glared at the shadow monsters.

"Let's all transform." Layla said "You mean, you're a..." Bloom said shocked "Of course, I am." Layla told Bloom "Come, on!" I yelled out as Bloom, Layla and I all transformed.

After we all transformed, the girls and I along with Jace and Sky started attacking all the shadow monsters. "Take this!" Bloom yelled out as she attacked one of the shadow monsters but it did nothing to it "No effect whatsoever." Bloom said shocked.

"In that case, I'll just have to enlighten them. Come, on Winter. Girls, shut your eyes." Stella told the girls as they shut their eyes. Stella then attacked the shadow monsters "𝑰𝒄𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒆!" I yelled out as I combined my spell with Stella's making it shine brighter and destroyed the shadow monsters "Good work, guys." Bloom told us. "Take cover!" Brandon told us as he finished setting up the explosion, making us all move out of its range as the gate exploded "All right!" Brandon yelled out.

"Watch out! There are more of them!" Bloom yelled out as more shadow monsters appeared behind us. "Come on! This way!" Jace yelled out as we all ran through the gate "Hurry! Shut the gate!" Layla yelled it to the guys "Don't let up, Sky!" Brandon yelled out to Sky as the shadow monsters tried pushing through the gate.

Then, Jace got out his flame blade and stabbed the leg of the shadow monster making it scream in pain as the guys finally closed the gate. "They're still trying to get through!" Layla yelled out "Layla, help me with the door!" I said as I started to freeze the gate shut "Great idea Winter!" Layla told me "Stand back!" Layla told the guys as she started sealing the gate as well. "What are you guys doing?" Sky asked us "We're sealing the gate shut." I told him "It's magic glue. Brandon, watch out!" Layla said, "Hurry up, guys." Sky told us "There." I said as Layla and I finished as she de-transformed.

"Good job, Winter and Layla." Bloom told us "It's good to have you on our team." Jace said as he held his hand out to her. "Yeah, I couldn't do it without you Layla." I said smiling at her "Thanks." Layla told us as she took Jace's hand and stood up "All right. Let's go. That won't hold them back forever." I told everyone as we all ran away from the gate.

"See? Forget about the clunky flashlights. My scepter's the only way to light up a room." Stella said as she led the way through the cave. "You may be the light of my life but a good flashlight saved me more than once." Brandon told Stella "Layla, you sure this is the right way?" Jace asked her. "I don't get it. We should've reached the crystals by now." Layla said as I started walking slower by the second 𝑊-𝑤ℎ𝑦... 𝑎𝑚 𝐼 𝑔𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑜 𝑒𝑥ℎ𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑜𝑓 𝑎 𝑠𝑢𝑑𝑑𝑒𝑛? I thought as I leaned on the wall.

"Crystals?" Brandon asked "Ugh.... Guys... I don't... feel so good...." I said as I felt myself falling. "Winter!" Jace yelled out as he ran over to me and caught me before I fell to the ground, while I de-transformed.

"Sky! I... Wait, Sky. Help me." Bloom said as she also looked exhausted and then she de-transformed while she fell to the ground. "Bloom!" Sky yelled out as he ran over to her "Stella, what's going on?" Brandon asked as Stella also got exhausted and de-transformed making it dark in the caves.

"I can't stand up." Bloom said as Sky turned on his flashlight giving us some kind of light. "Stella, Stella!" Brandon yelled out as he ran over to her "Winter, are you alright?" Jace asked as I leaned my weight on him, while he held me up by my waist.

"Yeah... but I'm so exhausted all of a sudden..." I said sighing. "Bloom, is everything all right?" Sky asked Bloom "Yes, but my... my powers are so weak." Bloom said as Sky helped her up "What just happened to us?" Stella asked as Brandon helped her up as well.

"You transformed an hour ago. You've been in fairy mode too long. I guess this doesn't just happen to the fairies from Andros." Layla said. "And our powers?" Bloom asked "They'll be fine Bloom. I think we're just too exhausted." I said as I leaned off of Jace as I felt my exhaustion slowly going away 𝐼𝑡 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑠 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑒... 𝑖𝑡'𝑠 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑠𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑑 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑤𝑒'𝑣𝑒 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑓𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑠... I thought. "Winter is right. You'll be fine. Just lay off the magic for a while. Now let's keep moving. We have to find the pixies." Layla said as we all continued on.

~𝔹𝕚𝕘 𝕋𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕊𝕜𝕚𝕡~

"At last! The crystals! Yes! It's not far now. Come on, let's go! It's at the end of one of these tunnels. Let's go down this one first." Layla said as we made it where there were crystals all around. "Layla, wait for us. Where are you going?" Bloom asked as she ran ahead "I'm gonna go down that way. I'll catch up in a sec." Brandon told us as he went a different way, while we all ran after Layla.

"Wow! It goes on forever." Layla said as I was the first one to make it. "Wow!" I said looking below us "Finally! We made it!" Bloom said "Down, there. Look! We've got to get down to that level." Layla said as she pointed to the platform below us. "Hey! Hey, girls! All these tunnels are connected! No matter which one we take, we end up out here." Brandon yelled up at us as he arrived at one of the platforms below us "Brandon! We really shouldn't let ourselves get separated, you know!" Layla called out to him.

Then, suddenly some shadow monster appears behind Brandon. "Brandon, watch out!" Layla cried out as Brandon got his sword out "I still got a little juice left." I said as I could feel my energy replenished little by little "Come on, Winter. Let's go help him." Layla said as I nodded and we both transformed.

After Layla and I transformed, we flew over to Brandon to help him. As Layla and I attacked the shadow monsters, they both attacked us with this yucky slime, sticking us to the wall "Help, we're stuck!" Layla yelled out as we tried to escape the slime, only for our efforts to be in vain.

"Winter! Layla!" Bloom yelled out worriedly for us "You ready?" Stella asked Bloom. "Magic Winx!" Bloom and Stella yelled out, but nothing happened as they were still too exhausted "Guys, it's not going to work. You're still too exhausted to transform!" I told the girls.

"Oh, no! It's not working! Brandon, watch out!" Stella yelled out worried for him. "Come and get it. Take this!" Brandon yelled out as he attacked the shadow monster, but his sword slammed down on the platform too hard, as it started rumbling and then fell apart.

"Brandon, no! Brandon!" Stella yelled out as Brandon and the shadow monster fell down the hole. "Stella!" "Stella!" Bloom and I yelled out as we saw her jump down after Brandon No this can't be true! I thought as tears started to form "Bloom!" Sky said as he stopped her from going after Stella "Stella! Oh, no! Stella! No!" Bloom cried out.
