Mission: Blueprint C-Tech

14:40, 2 October 2017

Bakar, Ali and Alicia were gathered in the Control Room, facing the rounded screen which showed the face of General Rama.

"All here? Listen closely." he said, as he pressed on a button from his place.

A holographic image popped into life in front of them, showing a tall office building which they recognised at once as-

"C-Tech tower," General Rama said. "One of the best developers of weaponry gadgets."

"What about it?" Ali asked.

"We suspect that Komeng and his gang is up to the case again. This time, he won't be hacking a lorry, but instead, they're targeting their headquarters."

"What do they want, General?" Alicia questioned.

General Rama took a moment before he answered. "Their blueprints."

The holographic image of them shifted to a blue blueprint of a menacing sniper.

"General!" Bakar exclaimed, his face white withย shock.

"Yes, Agent Bakar," the General agreed. "They are intending to steal a blueprint of a weapon powered by Azurium."

Now only did Ali gasp. "B-but- if they have it-"

"Yes," General Rama said grimly. "That's why we can't have them have it.

"Agent Bakar, you are in charge of this mission. Act immediately!"

The three agents arrived at C-Tech Headquarters without any interception. They were crouching behind a large and funny smelling crate in the warehouse. It was here that Bakar explained to them his plan.

"OK, since we don't know from which side of the building they are coming in from, we will each split up and tell the other when we see them."

Ali and Alicia nodded firmly once.

"Alicia, you will be standing post on the north side. Ali, you will be on the east. And I will-"

But before he could complete his sentence, an alarmed wailed so loudly that it echoed off the walls of the warehouse and pressed against their ears they felt like they were going to explode.

"Intruders spotted at lobby of the west wing," a buzzing voice said through a speaker. "All guards, please report imme-"

What sounded like a painful crunch and a person falling against the floor sounded from the speakers. Ali and Alicia winced. The announcer must have been attacked and fainted.

So frightened Bakar was that he stood rooted to the spot. Ali face-palmed. If he couldn't even move, let alone he make a plan.

"How bout this," Alicia said, taking the lead. "Agent Bakar, you can take care of the attackers, while me and Ali will guard the archive."

"Uh...OK, uncle agrees!" he said, giving a thumbs up.

And they split up.

When they entered the headquarters, a mass of brown, jacketed people and grey were moving in and out of view. The people wearing brown were all wearing black helmets that hid their faces and brandishing funny things as weapons. Such as were rusty metal poles and broken wooden bats. The grey-shirted guards, however, were brandishing polished silver bats that electrocuted whatever it touches.

Something yellow darted past him and he realised it was Alicia, pelting to the lift in the opposite side of the room.ย

"Hey, wait for me!" Ali yelled.

Alicia took out her blastique and shot small-explosion bombs at any brown-shirted people she could aim at. Or else, she would roll, duck and jump over wrestling people, whether brown or grey. Instead of going through the mass of fighting people, Ali decided to take the way above. He jumped on tiny parts that were protruding out from the wall, with his aeroboots to support his leaps.

Below, he could see a blue figure twice the size larger than the others punching helmeted men. Around him laid a huge heap of unconscious helmeted men, yet the they kept on coming, as though it was a ride or die.

Bringing his attention back, Ali threw his yoyo towards a hanging silver chandelier. The titanium rope of the yoyo secured around one of its branches. Ali pulled once, making sure that it wouldn't fall off. Then he clung on and used the momentum of his push to fly him to the other side of the room, landing right beside Alicia.ย

"Took you long enough," Alicia sneered, before entering the lift that had just arrived.

Ali went in, shouting behind his back, "Good luck, Uncle!" before disappearing into the lift.

When the doors closed, Ali realised that Alicia was examining the buttons.

"What's up?" he asked.

"We don't know which floor is the archive room on," she said, without looking at him.

Ali tried to look too. They were around ten floors, each button glowing red and the eleventh was partially dented and stuttering sparks.ย

"I bet that's the one." Ali said, pointing at the eleventh.

Just then, there was a series of bangs on the lift doors. There came a muffled shout, and the door was starting to dent in. It seems like the helmeted people were trying to get in.

"Alicia, hurry up!" Ali called urgently, taking out his yoyo and readying it.

Fingers slipping, Alicia hastily got an identification card she stolen from a guard and slammed it onto a reading pad. It scanned the card, and Alicia jammed the end of her blastique into the button above the tenth, caving it even more.

A slice of the doors were forced open, but before they could reach their hands in, the elevator had moved upwards. Ali gave a sigh of relief as he heard the gangsters' yells of fury become softer and softer. Alicia was slumped against the wall of the elevator, still clutching the identification card she stolen. When they just pass the seventh floor, Alicia got control of herself and threw the card aside, taking out her blastique and activating it.

"Get ready," she commanded.

"Jeez thanks for telling," Ali bickered, already ready long before she was.

The lift rang when they reached the eleventh floor. The doors slid open. This room was very different from the lobby downstairs: they had walls made of azure blue with a low ceiling. Their paths twisted here and there, and also what with the light source equal, it was nearly impossible to know there is a wall in front or not or know the right way; it was like a maze in here.ย

Together, Ali and Alicia were walking as quiet as a snake. Alicia pointing her blastique everywhere she went and Ali expecting Komeng or any of his gangs to jump out of the walls anytime. Then they met their first obstacle: an intersection.ย

"Which way do we go?" Alicia asked in an undertone, pointing her blastique at each corridor in turn.

"Dunno, do I?" Ali said.

"I'm asking you because you have IRIS," she said indignantly.

Grumbling under his breath, Ali pressed on the temple of IRIS.

A blinking word appeared in front of his eyes, writing 'X-Vision Activated'. After that, his vision became all black and white, but he could see through walls now. He looked left and right. No human in sight...

IRIS was also helping him to locate the blueprint of the Azurium weapon. When it had located it, it gave Ali a visual map of the entire maze and gave him a path to follow that would eventually lead him to the blueprint.

"I got the location, let's go," Ali said, dashing down the right passageway.

Alicia was following behind Ali all the while, sprinting through corridor after corridor, all the while blue surrounding them. It made her feel uneasy, and that they could be easily cornered if anyone were to attack them here. Plus, the narrow corridor wouldn't be an ideal fighting area, if she were to ask. Yet she couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being followed...

"Found it!" Ali exclaimed five minutes later.

"Good." Alicia said. "Now let's get back before someone finds out we've-"

"-found the blueprint?"
