Chapter 22

( A/n: Alvin and the Outcasts Part 1 )

The Dragon Riders were scouring a beach on Berk, looking for something.

Snotlout: Arrrrrrgggh! We've been here for hours and we haven't found anything!

Meryl: Actually, we've only been here for ten minutes.

Hiccup: ( to Snotlout: ) And you've done nothing than build that!

Hiccup gestures to a sandcastle.

Snotlout: That is Snotlout Manor. And all I need now is a queen. ( Turns to Astrid and Meryl )

Astrid: Ugh.

Meryl punched Snotlout in the gut in response, and he groaned in pain in response. Tuffnut then stomps on Snotlout's sand castle, making Meryl smile.

Snotlout: ( to Tuffnut: ) Wha-What are you doing?!

Tuffnut: Storming the castle.

Hiccup: Come on, guys! I'm telling you, Mildew framed our dragons! I saw dragon feet in Mildew's house and I watched him throw them into the ocean.

Fishlegs: I don't want to be Norbert the Negative, but the ocean is really, really vast. And our chances at finding those dragon feet are as good as Snotlout and Astrid-

Astrid: Don't go there.

Fishlegs: Going nowhere.

The camera zooms out to show that the mystery tall boy with bright amber eyes was watching the group from a cliff above the beach, and was listening in on their conversation.

Meryl: Look, Fishlegs is right, sadly. Even if Mildew did throw them in the ocean...

Astrid: They're not just gonna wash up on shore here.

Snotlout: I found it!

The amber eyed boy knew that Snotlout didn't find the dragon feet, instead Snotlout found a tiny wooden bludgeon, making him roll his eyes at the rider.

Hiccup: GREAT! Ehm... ( To Meryl and Astrid: ) You were saying?

Snotlout shows the tiny wooden bludgeon to the group with a smile.

Snotlout: I haven't seen this since I was a baby. ( Hits himself on the helmet a couple times ) You never forget your first bludgeon.

Hiccup: Just keep looking...

Meryl: If only I was a SeaDiver, then I would just jump in and look for the dragon feet.

The amber eyed boy then had an idea after hearing what Meryl said. He then looked at the water from the cliff, and nervously walked in circles, before he makes a running start and jumped off the cliff and jumped into the ocean, without the riders seeing him, but they heard something splash in the water.

Fishlegs: What was that?

Meryl: ( shrugs )

( Later that evening, after Hiccup failed to convince Stoick that Mildew framed the dragons )

Meryl and Hiccup walk along a cliff.

Hiccup: Mery, we'll prove Mildew did it. We have to if we ever want to see our dragons again.

Meryl: I know... I just hope they're okay... Poor Evergreen, she probably doesn't understand why the Vikings are acting like this...

Meryl then sees a ship floating next to a sea stack.

Meryl: Uh... Hiccup, why is one of Berk's ships anchoring there?

Hiccup looked through his Spyglass.

Hiccup: It's not one of our ships. I gotta tell Dad. Come on!

Hiccup grabs Meryl's hand and runs off to tell Stoick.

Meryl: Why? What's happening, Hiccup?

( With the amber eyed boy, at Night )

The boy gasped as he swam up to the surface of the water with the Zippleback feet and the Monstrous Nightmare claw that Mildew used to frame the dragons.

Mystery boy: ( in dragon, happily: ) I did it! It took ten hours but I-

The boy growled when he saw Alvin the Treacherous and his men row to Berk's shore. He then began swimming to shore away from the invaders, not leaving the Zippleback feet and Monstrous Nightmare claw behind.

( At the Great Hall )

Stoick was addressing the village about the situation.

Stoick: This is no time to panic! That's what the Outcasts are counting on!

Sven: Stoick!

Stoick: Sven, did you get a count?

Sven: I saw thirty men at least, all armed to the teeth.

Gobber: Without my weapons, we'll never be able to fight them head on.

Mildew: No weapons! And Outcasts on our shores! All thanks to your boy and his dragons!

Meryl glared at Mildew, and Hiccup grabbed her hand, holding her back from attacking Mildew.

Stoick: I don't have time for this right now, Mildew. Mulch! You and Bucket gather the elders and the children. Get them to Meryl's hidden hot spring. They'll be safe in there with the defense traps protecting them. Meryl, go with them to get them inside, and protect them until they reach there.

Meryl: Yes, sir.

Astrid: ( to Stoick: ) We can help fight! We've been trained as warriors.

Snotlout: She may have been trained, but I was born a warrior.

Stoick: ( to Astrid: ) Take this.

Stoick hands Astrid a small hatchet.

Stoick: It was Alvin's. But go with the others. You can help Meryl protect them, and protect her as well, ( whispers so Meryl couldn't hear him: ) she might not be showing it but I can tell that she's not feeling well.

Astrid nods her head.

Hiccup: ( to his father: ) Let me go get the dragons. At least if we have them, Dad, we can defend ourselves.

Stoick: ( to Hiccup: ) Go. But be careful. You don't know what Alvin is capable of. ( To the rest: ) The rest of you: We'll head to the woods. Nobody knows that forest like we do.

Gobber: And when Alvin comes looking for us there, he'll walk right into our trap!

( With the amber eyed boy )

The amber eyed boy growled as he'd climbed up a tree and he was looking for something or someone, but all he found was Fishlegs lamenting on a cliff over the sea, unaware of the situation and talking to himself, which made the amber eyed boy raise his brow at the viking teen.

Fishlegs: Oh, Meatlug, I miss you. The moon is full, my heart is empty. What rhymes with empty.

The amber eyed boy saw Alvin walked up behind Fishlegs.

Alvin: Don't waste your time. Nothing rhymes with " empty ". ( Grabs Fishlegs ) Where's the Dragon Conqueror?

Fishlegs screamed, causing Alvin to throw him into the sea at the horrible noise. The amber eyed boy growled before he sniffed the air, and went to follow the scent, Alvin heard the growl but he didn't see what made it.

( Meanwhile with Meryl )

Meryl was leading the elders and the children of Berk to through path to the hidden underground hot spring.

Little girl: Miss Scalewalker, I'm scared.

Meryl: ( to the little girl, holding her hand to comfort the child: ) Don't worry, everything will be okay. The gods are watching over us from the stars above, as long as they're up there watching over all of us, we'll be alright.

Astrid smiled at how Meryl was comforting the little girl.

Astrid: ( coldly, to Mildew: ) Does that ( gestures to Meryl comforting the little girl ) look like something a beast would do?

Mildew: Bah! She's nothing but a demon.

Astrid: That's leading us to safety, so be grateful.
