Chapter 18

Annabeth

The bonds dissapeared! I don't know why but i'm not complaining and neither is Brianna! We both rubbed our wrists, they were red raw from the struggling. Brianna wrists where the worst, well she wouldn't keep still but it looked horrible. Skin came off both our wrists but hers was bleeding. She shrugged and unsheathed her sword.

"Don't your wrists hurt?" I asked trying hard not to gag. She looked at me as if i was crazy.

"No! They sting yes, but it doesn't hurt and neither will a little bit of blood." I just nodded, ot wanting to talk about it further.

"C'mon, we need to find the others." When they heard someone coming they just dumped us, hid us underneath some leaves and left us as bait! They haven't come back since, i just hope Percy's ok. We walked in the direction we saw them go and less than thirty seconds we found them. They had Mick hung upside down and i just saw Percy punch him. I put my arm infront of Brianna, signalling her to stop.

"She trusted you!" I heard Percy shout. I heard him punch Mick again. "I knew i should've kept an eye on you! But Annabeth told me not to! You-" Punch. "Piece-" Punch. "Of-" Punch. "Shit!" He dilivered a final punch. I couldn't take no more.

"Percy stop it!" I ran and screamed. "I wasn't him!" Everyone turned to me. Percy just glared at me as if i was crazy.

"HE ALMOST KILLED US ANNABETH!" He yelled back.

"I called him!" I countered. "After our call got cut off i called Mick, he said he would come! AND HE DID!" Percy was over reacting.

"How come he was wearing that mask then?" Piper asked.

"I dunno?" I shrugged. "Ask Mick?" all turned to him. He sighed and started to explain.

"when Annabeth called me, i got stuff prepared. I couldn't go out in the dark, so i got that mask-" he pointed to the horrible clown mask. "It helps see in the dark"

"How come you attacked us then?" This time Lacey and Will spoke.

"I can't see human figures with it, so when you guys attacked i didn't have time to take off the mask, so i went on pure instincts. But i swear if i did know it wa you lot i wouldn' of fought!" He face dislpayed pure honesty.

"Ok.... if it wasn't mick who was it?" Every one turned to me and Brianna.

"It was our brother," Brianna began. "Damon?" She looked at me and i nodded. "I only know the stuff Annabeth told me." She shrugged and sat down.

"Damon?" Percy looked quizically at me.

"Lukes old friend? Damon? He was one of the las survivors! And for a child of Athena he wasn't very bright." Brianna nodded in agreement. "We both know he couldn't hatch a plan to capture demigods, its too challenging for him."

"So what he's working for someone?" Leo asked. We nodded.

"And we know who."

Me, Percy, Hazel, Jason (Grace), Frank, Leo and Piper stormed the camp. All of us were pissed right off, but the again it came to no suprise when we found out who it was.

None of us decided to put the pieces together. We all realized that only Greek demigods were being capture and hurt. So its someone from the Roman Camp, disguised the letter to make it seem like one of our own would capture us Greeks, and got to walk scotch free. We also know that they must be working with the rogue camp, as this person is their little spy.

We found Chiron and told him to assemble everyone, that we had an announcement. It took roughly fifteen minutes for everyone to assemble around the House of Hades. We waited and then Chiron came and silenced them.

"Our seven seem to want to make an announcement!" He said and stood aside and we took the stage. Reyna and Octavian were off the side of the stage.

"Right lets cut the crap and get to the point," I shouted. "All of you know that recently demigods have ended up hurt, missing or in Malcoms case killed." This grabbed their attention. Percy carried it on.

"You also know we have a spy in the camp," His tone was firm and assertive.

"One that has a grudge against Greek demigods," Piper chimed in.

"So this person teamed up with the rogues and almost killed Thalia," Jason added.

"Then this person got Annabeth kidnapped." Leo for once wasn't joking.

"Then they tried to get Annabeths half brother, Damon who worked with Kronos, to kidnap my brother Reece!" Hazel shouted, tears almost came to her eyes ut she held them back.

"And we know who it is!" Frank concluded. Everyone stared at us wide eyed, waiting to see who it was.

"Who else do we know hates the Greeks, and wanted us dead? Who else do we know had a grudge against Percy for getting preatorship in less than a week?" I paused. "Well we all know who that is.... don't we Octavian?" All eyes landed on him. His smug smile faded replaced by a scowl.

"Me? You think i done it?" He screeched over the crowd.

"We don't think you done it Octavian! We know you done it!" Percy snarled, his eyes turning dark.

"This is absured! I-" I cut him off.

"Damon told us Octavian so save your screeches for the crows!" I walked towards him. The others following persuit. "You see he ain't the smartest child of Athena, I know that cuz i grew up with him. So when i asked him who you were working for he told me it was you." My voice was barely above a whisper. But i know everyone heard. Their eyes darted back and forth like a tennis match.

"I-" Jason cut him off.

"You were willing to let Annabeths friend Mick take the wrap for something you done! You were also willing to have my sister killed!" He shouted the last bit.

"WHAT!" All heads turned. Thalia walked through the crowd. "HE TRIED GETTING ME KILLED!" Thunder erupted all around us.

"Yes, not only that, he tried to have a shot at getting Reece killed as well! But he succeed with malcom! Didn't you Octavian!?" everything happened so fast. Next thing i knew Percy tackled me to the ground as a knife flew over my head. I looked at Octavian he had Reyna. A knife to her throat, his other hand pulling her hair, tilting her head back.

"Take another step and i'll slice her pretty little throat." Everyone froze. Reyna made eye contact with me. No fear was in her eyes, only anger. She gave me a slight nod and i understood.

"Everyone! and i mean EVERYONE! Take several steps back!" they all looked at me. "NOW!" We all done as i said. I didn't take any steps back though i stayed where i was.

"Ok Octavian, you have our attention," I said.

"Drop your dagger," I stared at him. He tugged Reyna's head back and she yelped. "DO IT!" He screeched. I done as he said. "Tell everyone else to drop their weapons." I glared at him. This time he pressed the knife harder drawing a trickle of blood.

"DO AS HE SAYS!" No one moved. "DROP YOUR WEAPONS NOW!" If we wanted Reyna back he had to play by his rules.

"Annabeth-" Chiron started but never finished.

"If we want Reyna back safe Chiron we play by his rules! So that means everyone stay where they are and DON'T try and be a hero!" I kept my eyes on Octavian the whole time. I locked eyes with Reyna and she gave another slight nod. She started counting down, i joined in, in my head.

Three...... Two..... One...... I lunged.
