Chapter 17

Percy

I couldn't find Annabeth anywhere. I've looked all over and asked almost everyone i know! If somethings happened to her, again, i'm not gonna be happy. I was walking towards her tent when Jason (Brianna's boyfriend) walked out of his tent, looking confused. He saw me and headed towards me.

"Percy have you seen Brianna?" Brianna's missing aswell! I shook my head. "Oh.... i was wondering cuz i think she took twenty from my wallet?" He shrugged and was about to walk back into his tent when i stopped him.

"Have you seen Annabeth? Last time i saw her and Brianna they were with Lacey."

"Maybe she knows where they gone?" We walked all the way back to the other end to find Lacey's tent. It was ajar, she was sat in the corner crying.

"Aw Lacey....." I pulled her into a hug, trying my best to comfort her.

"I miss him so much! He's the closest thing i have to a proper family!" I felt her tears dampen my tee.

"We'll find him Lace, but i can't go looking for him until i know where annabeth and Brianna is?" She looked at me wide eyed. Then she adverted her gaze.

"I dunno...." She wouldn't meet my eyes.

"Lace..... please! Our girlfriends could be in danger!" Jason exclaimed. She bit her bottom lip, thinking.

"I know where they are....." She whispered. "They've gone to find Reece. They both saw tracks and when they dropped me off they went looking."

"How long ago was this Lacey," I tried to keep my tone calm.

"About half hor ago." I sprang up. "Lacey you stay here ok, we'll be as quick as we can." With that me and Jason bolted out of the tent. I grabbed Jason (Grace), Frank, Leo, Connor, Travis, Will, Nico and Chris. I didn't want any girls involved especially their girlfriends.

"We need to go on that search party now! Not only will Reece be in trouble but so would Brianna and Annabeth!" They all stared at me wide eyed.

"What has Annabeth gotten herself into this time!" Will exclaimed.

"I dunno but her and Bri came up with an idea and-" Right then my phone rang. It was Annabeth.

"Annabeth where are you?" I shouted down the phone.

"Ummm..." Her voice was a whisper. "Go back to the puddle of blood and you will see tracks, follow them and carry on in the same direction until you come to a clearing, thats where we are."

"Ok Annabeth just don't do anything that could get you, Bri and Reece killed!"

"To late..." She paused. "Percy you were right! I should've listened to you! I'm-" The phone cut off.

"Annabeth?!" I chucked my phone. "SHIT!" I started pacing.

"Percy, what are we gonna do?" Nico asked.

"I'm thinking Nico!" I yelled.He inched away. I finally came up with a plan. I told them the information Annabeth told me. They nodded. "Nico you take Leo and Jason (Grace) and shadow ravel there!" He nodded. "Will, Travis and Connor climd the trees!" The nodded as well. "Frank, Jason, Chris and I will go the way  Annabeth told me, ok so you guys understand?"

"YES!" They were all determined, we turned to leave but stopped. Hazel, Piper, Clarrise, Lacey and Katie stood in our way.

"Where do you think your going?!" Piper asked menacingly. We all backed away. Along with Annabeth Piper was scary.

"We're gonna rescue Reece, Brianna and Annabeth! Lacey i told you not to move.

She laughed. "I don't listen to Reece, Percy! Let along you." All five of them had their weapons ready. Lacey with her bow, arrows and sword. Clarrise with her electric spear and swords. Piper with her dagger. And Katie with her sword.

"We're coming with you!" Hazel said, they all crossed their arms. I looked at the guys and they DID NOT want to fight them. I sighed and said yes.

"Hazel go with Nico, Clarrise and Katie stay with me, you guys are good runners we might need you," They nodded and smiled. "Lacey and Piper go with Will and Connor and Travis." Will just looked at me. when him and Piper work together it never ends well. I just shrugged and turned to the others.

"Now lets get a move on!"

We arrived to the clearing. Next to me was Katie, Clarrise, Jason and Frank. I could see Travis, Connor, Lacey and Will in the trees.  Lacey and will with their bows and arrows and Connor and Travis with their swords. I could just about see Nico, Hazel, Chris and Jason on the far side.

I looked out over the clearing and saw Annabeth and Brianna struggling under their bonds. Reece was out cold by their feet. I could just hear the girls talking.

"Stupid! Rope! Why! IS! It! Annoying!" Brianna shouted.

"Shut up and let me think Bri!" an irritated Annabeth countered.

"You've been thinking for hours now!" Annabeth lokked up and i could tell she was counting to ten. Then she stopped. I looked up and saw Will signalling her to be quiet. Then he pointed over to me. She looked in my direction and smiled. She didn't look hurt. She had a gash on her cheek and her arm was bleeding but she seemed fine. The same couldn't be said about Brianna.

She was bruised and scratched all over. But she didn't seem fazed one bit! Tough girl! I saw Annabeth nudge her then used her head to point in my direction. She looked, when her eyes landed on Jason she beamed with happiness. Time to get them out of here.

Crouching low the five of us advanced. I signalled for nico and his group.

"Nico take Reece and shadow travel back to camp he's hurt badly and needs attention." He nodded and got righ on to it. A Few seconds later they were gone. he rest of us started cutting the girls bonds. But there was a problem they were enchanted.

"Percy theres no use!" Annabeth said looking defeated. I came up with an idea.#

"Clarrise help me unwedge this pole. in thirty seconds it was out. "Now grab that end and we'll carry them back like this." they were side ways and i heard connor and Travis snicker. "The rest of you keep a look out."

"Percy i know who it is its-" I cut her off.

"tell me when we're back to safety ok, nows not the time." We lifted them up and scurried back to camp. We didn't get far until we heard a yell.

"Some ones comming!" We dropped the girls and covered them up. Then we all scattered to hide ourselves. We all held our breath. No one daring to move. I saw Lacey and Will knotch an arrow ready to fire. Don't! Don't do it! I was pleading silently. I froze. I heard someone making their way to the clearing huffing and gruffing. I saw everyone else and they were scared. I poked my head out and nodded to Will and Lacey. They fired all the arrows they got. We all heard a scream and a thud. All of us ran over.

We all stopped about two feet away. I walked closer, wanting to examin who it was. When i got wih in reaching distance i didn't see his hand shoot out  and grab my leg. He got up and was strong enough to hang me upseide down. The others attacked.

Lacey managed to notch an arrow and shoot it at the guys wrist. He let me go and howled. He turned on her, his eyes loathing. She didn't move she stood her ground. Lacey dropped her arrows and unsheathed her sword. I had to look away, the sword was like the sun.

The blade looked ordinary but the hilt looked like it trapped the sun. it just radiated power. Everyone stared in awe. But the guy didn't he jus kept on advancing. When i saw she wasn't gonna move i ran. I ran with all my might and tackled Lacey to the ground. We fell and i pushed her to the side as his blade came down and missed us by millimeters. This snapped everyone out of a trance.

Piper yelled and lunged. Frank turned in to a..... i dunno but it sure looked scary. Lacey and Will continued with their volleys of arrows. Clarrise and Chris got a few shots in there. Leo was throwing fire at the man. Jason Grace was zapping the man with lightning. Jason (Bri's Jason) looked invincable, he just radiated tonnes of power. Somethings special about Jason.... I didn't have much more time to think about it. The man in a matter of seconds was hanging upside down and vines where growing around him.

I saw Katie, Travis and Connor high five. I smiled they done a good job. I got up and walked over to the guy. He glared at me, hatred buring though his eyes. He was wearing a clown mask. It looked creepy and i wanted o run away. But i stood my ground and ripped the mask off of his face. All of us gasped. shock was replaced by anger. I wasted no time and punched the guy.

"I Knew there was something dodgy about you!" I  snarled in his face. "It was only a matter of time until you slipped up!" I looked i the face of a smug looking Mick.
